I remember finding this song roughly 5 years ago, when I wanted to take my own life, playing it on repeat and helping me greatly for many different reasons. Almost 5 years later, after a long journey and finding my way back, I find this song once more, so I will say now what I couldn't say then...thank you Jacob. Within this song not only you conveyed emotions I couldn't put in words back then when I was barely a boy, but your art gave me some much needed clarity and relief. Among the many artists that exist today, and those that are yet to come, you will always incomparably stand out to me for the artist that you are and for what you did back then, you helped me, and for that, I will always be grateful to you. You will always have my support for as long as you continue on this journey of yours and beyond that, just like you helped me in mine.

1 year ago this song philosophical sessions was playing daily every hour every minute and every second for 5 days while I withdrew from fentanyl.
Nearly 6 yrs ago I was a heroin addict..I'd lost my 3 boys and I wanted to end what little life I had left..I heard your song and it inspired me..I got clean, went to court, won all 3 of my boys back, and now we're a happy thriving family..6 years clean from all drugs in March!..You had a hand in it, and for that..I thank you..Music has the power to heal..Especially yours..Keep doing what you do best..🖤

Both versions of this song came to me at just the right moment. when it seems that everything is over, or the demons have captured me and will soon defeat me. a year ago I broke up with my boyfriend; I had a very problematic relationship with him that brought me a lot of troubles in later life. this song suits us very well... he released my demons, found out all my secrets and then told everything to strangers who shouldn’t have known what I had kept deep within myself for a long time. Now I understand that if he had not released these demons, they would have remained inside me. If he hadn’t told what he told to those who shouldn’t have, these secrets would have remained sick secrets that ruined my life. I freed myself from my ex, from demons, from the secrets that plagued my soul every day. and you appeared again at the most opportune moment and reminded me that I had become free. your music saved me twice and I really hope that you will be able to save people like me in the future.

This particular song has been a source of inspiration and support for me. In 2020, I faced a lot of challenges including depression, leaving my job, and discovering that my 5-year relationship was built on lies. Adding to this, the Covid pandemic hit, and I felt like I had hit rock bottom. However, then I discovered Jacob's song - Demons (Philosophical Sessions) which has been incredibly therapeutic for me. This type of music has helped me heal and I am grateful for it. Thank you!

its wonderful I remember discovering this in middle school after I found out about my parents history with each other and how unwanted I felt that neither of them cared enough to take care of me their son. After all these years tho I came to realize my mom gave me to my grandparents because she knew I would be in wonderful hands. This song really resonated with me when I found it years ago. It was also the only song my son would fall asleep to.
Oh my what an amazing song, I'm so happy to hear this new version come out. I discovered this song a few weeks before my son's father took his life, it reminded me of him and I. He had for a very long time struggled with demons telling him to end it, I tried saving him, but ultimately I was not able to. I've come to terms with it and I will always love him immensely. I played this at his memorial. Thank you so much for this song. I know he's in a much better place now. God loves us all. ❤
If you'd only seek out Jesus Christ, those demons couldn't touch you. I almost ended it in 1975 after I found my mother murdered. Finding and excepting Jesus as my Savior was the best thing I ever did. One by one those demons left.

When this song first came out, i was 17, my dad had just died, and i was placed into foster care. This song literally got me to make it to 18 to be free.... since then ive been in a seriously abusive relationship, had a duaghter who died due to medical malpractice, and then was able to leave the relationship, and heal. All while blasting this song. The philosical sessions was rhe first version i ever heard. Thank you for your music. Its touching and motivating.
