A couple years ago our church sent a group of us up to volunteer at Pacific Garden Mission in Chicago. One of the workers was telling us that in the winter when it gets really cold the cops will find homeless people sleeping in business doorways etc and bring them to the shelter. He said they will end up completely maxing out the firecode limit for the building with people sleeping in the hallways and everything.

I personally don't think females should be police officers, due to the unsafe nature of the job.
Society is supposed to send the men out to protect women and children, not the other way around. That, and they almost immediately have to resort to their toolbelt when dealing with a confrontation, particularly when dealing with uncooperative men.

Not saying that of myself, but that happens. Hey, at least the cop repaid his time by getting him to the washroom.

I love it when street urchins that can’t even afford a pack of smokes claim they are going to sue police. Lawsuits cost tens of thousands of dollars.
A slam dunk case can often be taken for free, with payment on the back end. Pretty much all of these are wastes of time and lawyers realize that. You'll still have the scummy ones who take them and charge up front and drag it out as long as possible.
Street trash is all they are. Send that guy to North Korea. Her as well. They will come back as low grade fertilizer.
He can try to get some lawyer to take it on contingency, but the lawyers who do that stuff are usually pretty savvy as to whether it is worth their time.
