    Isn't something like 22% of people in the UK in poverty? I don't think the economy is doing very well just based on that alone.

    " I am clutching at straws to make it sound better than it is"...... why? Murdoch told me to help Rishi & Hunt all I could? That piece was embarrassing. The numbers are crap, because the numbers are crap, because of...... The Tories.

    The British economy is in big trouble, the Tories can try to spin it, but it looks very bad, and could get a lot worse in the coming months and years.

      Un-likely. The figures will probably look much better by summer.

      @@CockWomble1000Labour will indeed be the next government. Inflation will shoot up. Immigration will probably head to two million. British youngsters will struggle to get a job. Crime will be so bad they will stop recording the numbers.
      All things we can look forward to.

    Sure would be convenient if there was a big market that we could trade freely into... a single market one could say.

    Apart from boasting rights for the gov, what difference does it make? It is a “revision” of the PAST. It happened, stop making excuses and concessions, get over it!!

    It is very worrying that the british economy, one of the world's most advanced economies, is not growing, and hasn't had long term sustained economic growth for now about 5 years.
    This is the unfortunate effect of Brexit

    • @johndevoy5792
      @johndevoy5792 Месяц назад +1

      absolutely, and proof that Brexit was utter madness is to look across at Ireland where both the domestic and FDI economy is seriously strong and predicted to continue. What does that say about leaving the EU?

    No news. Just an opportunity to talk about the Tories as no publicity is bad, as Trump and Johnson have demonstrated.
