I'm amazed that this BL did not only convey romantic and cute moments but it also has deep and emotional scenes. I cried when New was crying at his grandpa's funeral. That scene is so well done and New is surprisingly a great actor even on dramatic scenes.

Lian does love him. What he doesn't like is the doll like persona Kuea shows him. He wants a genuine person, not a doll. You can see that Lian likes the sass Kuea gives him when he says he's Lian's fiancee and the moments where he was dancing to music. Lian just doesn't like the doll-like persona.

Rewatching all episodes while waiting. Nunew is a monster rookie actor. He nailed it, from singing, motorbike, playing drums, and crying. Every time I watch him crying I can't help but cry with him. You really can feel his emotions.

Yeah I love your analysis. Hia isn't in love with him yet, he knows Kuea is very important to him and will always protect him but it's not love yet. I think it's because of double personality of Kuea as well. When they were young, they didn't know what love actually means. Kuea went to UK and Hia was in business so they never got to see each other mature and know each other's personality. Kuea and Hia both assumed what the other is supposed to be like with Kuea believing that Hia loves someone calm, proper and polite so he is trying to mend into this personality and then Hia is confused with this almost lifeless and robotic personality which is not familiar to him. Hia just wants to know his true self cuz he has an idea of it but hasn't experienced it. I think thats why he is kind of dismissive about him cuz he doesn't understand why Kuea is faking it if he loves him. Maybe that why he doesn't respond to his "I love you" not because he doesn't like it but because he doesn't know if this is part of his act or not. Kuea may fake his personality but everytime he says I love you he means it with his heart, he can never fake that sincerity. What they lack is communication. The day they take off their masks, they will madly fall in love with each other and never let each other go.

6:22 not sure what Kuea's grandpa is aiming for. he summons Hia and reminds him of the pledge when he was 11-12yrs old and asks if he still wants to honour it. _taking [good] care of Kuea_ is probably a no-brainer but actually marrying him? that is something else. these boys are at least 6yrs apart and what kind of bond could they have developed back when that 'engagement' ceremony took place? they probably attended different schools, they certainly studied at different times and at different universities. they probably didn't meet that often in the years prior to that scene and Kuea will spent another 2yrs in the UK studying. any talk of marriage seems absurd unless you are determined to have an arranged marriage - but why would you? is there a business background for an arranged marriage? why would grandpa want these two boys getting married? Kuea isn't helpless and abandoned should grandpa die one day.

He did have an inferiority complex...but he's successful now...but still he is careful with his words...he says "I will take care of Kuea" instead of "I love Kuea". Poor grandpa died, I could see his male partner crying in the background. NuNew's actiing is damn good...even the maids started crying when they saw Kuea cry.

ohh my gosh so actually one of the reasons why Kuea's grandpa is so approved of Hia Lian taking care of Kuea is because his own life time partner too is that man who is always beside him and the one with him talking too the younger Hia Lian so that is why the Nu Kuea's grandpa wants this engagement and i think this is really a great touch of the series which makes it more reasonable and the man's name too is Auea sound like Kuea right?
i loved the 2 grandpas' story and how loving they are of e/o and kuea. the grandpas saw the bond between kuea and hia lian and decided their engagement. best!!!!
Also I love the fact that they didn't force any of them for the engagement. Grandpa did this knowing that Kuea loves Lian a lot and they know Lian well enough to know that he is trustable and caring. He asked Lian for his answer saying that he can decline if his heart isn't the same as in their childhood. And Lian said that he decided this himself which means he did it because he wants to not due to pressure. I love that they stuck with the "arranged" marriage concept not "forced" marriage cuz a lot of dramas seem to think that arranged = forced. It's refreshing.
I've been waiting for this series for so long and finally this session airs in this month of love :). Hats off to everyone involved in this amazing series. Outstanding production value. cinematography, editing, speed, writing, acting, soundtrack, everything is (A)+ from me. But I have to make a special mention for the young NuNew. Especially for a beginner, he does an amazing job in every scene, both in drama and comedy. all give a role in the best color. Of course everyone is amazing too, we know how great Zee is at acting.

This is only the first episode and I personally loved it because its focused on the main couple and their story only. The second couple got little time but it was enough because they didn't overshadowed the leads instead they became important as friends and their own individuals on the show.
Seeing Lian's expression shifts weirdly satisfied me like boy was looking so stoic the past parts so seeing him actually act like a human really hits different. It made me realize too that both him and Kuea put a front with each other which is lowkey... sad. I'm sure they genuinely like each other but they both have this perception of each other that they felt the need to meet; Lian thinks he should be the reliable older brother to Kuea while Kuea feels like he has to be the perfect little brother so they ended up completely altering themselves to someone they think is 'likeable' to the other.
I really love his character !!! He so funny.In every BL novels I ever read there must be someone who is a funny guy that really lifted everyone mood .Love this drama so much !!!....😆😆

Watching Cutie Pie for the first time in two years, I am impressed by the way that Nhu, so new to acting at the time the series was made, handled the complex emotions that Kuea was feeling at his grandfather's funeral. Zee, as ever, acts with great assurance.

เราอยากชมพี่นุนิวมากๆๆ ไม่รู้จะมาเห็นเม้นเราไหม แต่การที่จะแสดงฉากร้องไห้ได้คนเดียวคือเก่งมากอะ ไม่มีคนส่งอารมณ์ อารมณ์เศร้าตีขึ้นมาจนค่อยๆร้องออกมาก ทวีคูณอารมณ์เรื่อยๆเพราะในหัวมีแต่เฮียเหลียน แล้วฉากบ้านลับเราชอบมาก การที่เรามีเพื่อนคนนึงคอยอยู่ข้างๆในเวลาแบบนั้นก็ดีเช่นกัน คอยกอดคอยปลอบ แม้กระทั่งเมา555555555 ฉากลุงอี้เฮียเหลียนก็ชอบมากเหมือนกัน ลุงอี้พูดคำว่า ไม่ผิดที่ผู้ชายสองคนเขาจะรักกัน คือดีมากๆ เปิดกว้างในคำพูดที่สื่อออกมา แล้วกัดกันเองด้วยคำพูดอีกพวกเฮียๆ หมั่นไส้เว่ออออ นักแสดงรุ่นใหญ่ก็แสดงดีเช่นกันค่ะ เก่งกันทุกคนเลยย
ohh my gosh so actually one of the reasons why Kuea's grandpa is so approved of Hia Lian taking care of Kuea is because his own life time partner too is that man who is always beside him and the one with him talking too the younger Hia Lian so that is why the Nu Kuea's grandpa wants this engagement and i think this is really a great touch of the series which makes it more reasonable and the man's name too is Auea sound like Kuea right?
Yes , this is absolutely well written since Kuea and Auea has the same meaning in Thai. This show the love between grandpa 🥺🥺
i loved the 2 grandpas' story and how loving they are of e/o and kuea. the grandpas saw the bond between kuea and hia lian and decided their engagement. best!!!!
Also I love the fact that they didn't force any of them for the engagement. Grandpa did this knowing that Kuea loves Lian a lot and they know Lian well enough to know that he is trustable and caring. He asked Lian for his answer saying that he can decline if his heart isn't the same as in their childhood. And Lian said that he decided this himself which means he did it because he wants to not due to pressure. I love that they stuck with the "arranged" marriage concept not "forced" marriage cuz a lot of dramas seem to think that arranged = forced. It's refreshing.

I've been waiting for this series for so long and finally this session airs in this month of love :). Hats off to everyone involved in this amazing series. Outstanding production value. cinematography, editing, speed, writing, acting, soundtrack, everything is (A)+ from me. But I have to make a special mention for the young NuNew. Especially for a beginner, he does an amazing job in every scene, both in drama and comedy. all give a role in the best color. Of course everyone is amazing too, we know how great Zee is at acting.

This is only the first episode and I personally loved it because its focused on the main couple and their story only. The second couple got little time but it was enough because they didn't overshadowed the leads instead they became important as friends and their own individuals on the show.

Seeing Lian's expression shifts weirdly satisfied me like boy was looking so stoic the past parts so seeing him actually act like a human really hits different. It made me realize too that both him and Kuea put a front with each other which is lowkey... sad. I'm sure they genuinely like each other but they both have this perception of each other that they felt the need to meet; Lian thinks he should be the reliable older brother to Kuea while Kuea feels like he has to be the perfect little brother so they ended up completely altering themselves to someone they think is 'likeable' to the other.
