No its important we have every Indian understand his understanding of value, money is not the value he belied in, its empowerment and vision, he was never a puppet to anyone else's thoughts, he had a vision when the west couldn't make a business he made it, its all propaganda. You never get to hear the last words on a death bed. for rattan tata it will be i tried my best!!! and that's how we should remember him.
Ratan Tata is an excellent role model. His rise to success was difficult but he managed to do so much in India and around the world.Obviously the group doesn't only manufacture cars but covers a large spectrum of other business activities. The Tata group is a well known, respected and profitable company.
He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Old money paid his education and he was given top jobs in the Tata Group after a series of educational jobs. Hardly a difficult path to succes. Almost given.
God has blessed the Tata family and every generation has seen a Tata performing not only in business but also in their approach to assisting and helping the needy. This is the philosophy of the Tata family and a very good one at that. Ratan Tata was exemplary in this aspect and a fighter at that. He knew deep within him that his success in the automobile industry was partly owed to the manner in which he was dressed down so he decided to face the obstruction and overcome it. Hence he knew when the time was right he would forge a deal with Ford and allow them to keep their face. These are all makings of a great man.
Its just a start from Indians and its entrepreneurship. One of the Indian done this. How many Indians would come out of India as Tata in future out of 1.4 billion???
The problem with 3:19 British has too much ego, they thinks they can do anything and underestimated Ratan Tata, but turn it out Ratan Tata was their father and destroyed their industries, .

I live in US and the quality of US car brands is horrible. Even Tesla, which is supposed to be the premium brand struggles in repairs department. I have owned Japanese and German made cars. Will buy them again. But never US car brands.
Ratan Tata should have known that. He graduated from Cornell and donated them $50 million for his bachelor degree. Why would he sell to Ford in the first place?
Tesla QC shit. A new expose just showed that they’ve been blaming recurring common problems on customers abusing the cars even though they know they have been recording the production issues and covering them up.
TATA is the most trusted brand in India... He is not the richest just because of the fact that more than 65% of profit goes to education , charity and other humanitarian aids..
Ford is nothing compared to Tata. Tata is running multiple industries, not just cars. Its a group well diversified across multiple industries, going on at 165 billion dollars and will soon hit 250b + in market cap.
Great man, has done extremely well for the TATA company abd himself. Just to point out a lot of the company profits us put towards Charity causes, that is something that all companies shoukd look to done.
Tata was already a major world player in the transport industry long before buying JLR - they were just icing on top of the cake. Well done for sticking it up the yanks.

because all Steel ventures in UK have failed to sustain in the global market as the all auto manufacturing ventures eg. Corus, Jaguar Land Rover, Nortan, BSA, Trimph, Rolls Royce……..many many more. and Tata group not only works with the gov but with the community and TATA is already the biggest steel manufacturer in UK through Corus as Corus is owned by Tata. Tata is UK’s biggest industrial employer.
For the same reason that big industry has failed again and again. Failure of the UK Treasury to bother even to find out what the needs of such industries are. That's where British Leyland went. Michael Edwardes was clear shortly after the collapse. He had no problem with the unions, although there were a lot of them. The Treasury wouldn't allow him to borrow the money to develop the replacement engine for the B series. Steel plants were not allowed to invest in the rolling mills that made the highest quality steel needed by BL, yet The Treasury obliged BL to use the output. So BL cars rotted, and the domestic market disappeared. Let's not forget, this was going on long before Thatcher.
You should not blame tata for making bad products. Ford should be happy that he was there to take over the failing company. Look on the roads to what people are driving.
What a giant of a noble wealthy man. If only he could rule this country, the economic landscape would be different for sure. His like a man of Chinese virtue and mentality. Sad reality of India today, this big country is a big stage of dramas run by so many corrupted PM for self-glory, the infrastructure so pathetic with poverty so big.
"To live well is the best revenge" - Anon The condescending attitude of white westerners towards India and Indians predates the egregious Bill Ford. During the British Raj, the discriminatory policies of our former colonial rulers kept us backwards. We were sneered at and derided as "hewers of wood and drawers of water". These attitudes persist with the Anglo press questioning the achievements of the Indian Space Research Organisation. This overlooks the plentiful foreign exchange that ISRO earns for launching other countries' satellites, including those of the UK. Not long after the British left in 1947, India gave the lie to their smug assumption about our supposedly perpetual backwardness by becoming the world's 11th most industrialised nation.

The deal with Ford was win-win. Yes Ford was arrogant and took it up the skirt with the sale prices of Land Rover and Jaguar. But in the time Ford owned those companies, they gleaned much needed technology and innovation they probably wouldn’t have gotten on their own. Also Ford couldn’t do what they needed to do to grow that handful of companies. Ford is too small and it’s just not in their DNA to tackle all of that. They have done much better as a company concentrating on mainly just Ford. I work for Ford s and I can tell you Ford loves and values their Indian employees for their intelligence and savvy. That’s probably what they wanted from Tata…an employee , not a competitor.
