Hey there. Here is what I use and my set ups. Rod- 9ft-10ft Tsunami Elite Airwave or Tica rod ( medium heavy -Heavy action) - Line 80lb-100lb Braid Daiwa J braid or Power Pro Braid
Thanks! There is a couple bait/ tackle shops near Indian River inlet. Try “old inlet bait and tackle “ & “ Hook em & Cook em” . Old inlet bait and tackle is before the inlet and hook em and cook em bait shop is on the north side of the Indian River inlet near back bay where the boats are. Hope that helps.
I think it's just overfished. My son and I fished the inlet yesterday, on a monday morning and the rail was damn near full on the south side. With that many people fishing it constantly, fish don't get a chance to get much bigger than the minimum before they are harvested.
@@leechen3465 Hey Lee. I think its a preference. I have seen many people with different set ups. As long as the rod has some backbone to pull the togs out of the rocks, it will work perfectly. I use longer rods so I have more of a leverage reeling the togs up. Some other fisherman I know use short rods because they feel its more secure. So everyone has different styles and beliefs. At the end of the day, if it works, it works. Hope that helps!

Any tips for losing fewer rigs?
Hey Charlie. It’s very tough. The inlet has so many snags, but the fish are there. Make sure you bring enough hooks and sinkers.

Hey Kevin! I use 4/0 Gamakatsu octopus hooks. Sometimes I use 3/0 if the bite is very finicky. Hope this helps.

Yes, pretty tog! White chin togs very common.
There once was a time when you could catch your limit there 10 fish at the time in a few hours. It’s a shame the fishery has gone so far down hill😡
