hello I'm Swedish and a bit of a Saab geek. A very honest review of the car. An air filter and you can hear the turbo is just a big plus. Good video and now that the wife has seen it, I might buy one myself.

I recently bought a 2009 9-3 Aero XWD, and oddly enough, they’re even more rare than the Turbo X! Great review👍
Funny enough, I own a 2009 9-3 Aero XWD too, with a manual transmission, and I love this car.
@@thruxtonabb8909 Same here, the one I have is a manual as well. Only 7 built in laser red 2009. The rarest I have seen is 09 XWD manual with B50 interior.
XWD or Turbo X, same car though, own one since December '20.

@@Nathan_Jay I saw a few AeroX vesions online thatis found in the UK as I know only 14 of the 2.8V6 TurboX version was sold in South Africa. It seems the AeroX is a 20.T or does it come in the 2.8V6 versions too. The UK one I saw on AutoTrader was specified as a 2.0T though.

I bought one new. Still have it. I've heard of it. Have 6 speed manual. Most fun ride. Great seats too. Interior has too much plastic and the Bose sound system sucks. Otherwise, it's my daily driver and so much fun.

Words can't describe how much I want one. I absolutely love fast sedans. And this Saab has to be the coolest out there. The design is so manly and somehow sinister. The build quality is great. The engine and drivetrain is superb. It is so hard to find a bad thing about this car. It is a car for people who actually understand cars. The German cars are very good (M3, S4, C63) but this Saab makes them all look ordinary and boring.
Wish I could afford or find one ... I'll have to ' make do ' with a 93Aero Instead .... great review 👌
GM did what GM does best. Take a very innovative company And instead force them to do badge engineering instead of capitalizing On their innovations. One look at the saab-engineered 4 cylinder 2.0Turbo and how it performs versus all the other General Motors 4 cylinders to that point...will tell you everything you need to know about where GM screwed up.
GM played a very large part in ruining SAAB.
American ownership of foreign cars doesn't ever work out well.
Im in the Uk and have a Ttid4 2010 which only 10 came to the UK. I have a 1999 viggen, and 9-3 2000 se auto. Thursday I pick up my Turbo X to add to the family ....... dont tell the wife
I've just got the saab bug myself mate. I can see how it's easy to fall prey to this addiction 😂 1.9tid with an unknown map and some strange piping??? It does 105 mph easily in 4th in a cloud of black smoke 😂looney machine. Just bought it for a work runabout for a grand. You either get 50 mph or 12 there's no inbeetween

Great car, bought myself a 2009 model Turbo X so I'm one the privileged 2K worldwide of which only 14 made it to South Africa.
Love my Turbo X, it's been such a great car. My current dilemma with it is finding a left exhaust tip after mine fell off and was flattened by the car behind me lol. No success finding a replacement tip so far!

How much HP can this bad boy handle without selling my kidney? Looks like nice base to build a daily sleeper.
intercooler,550cc injectors or bigger, 3 inch full exhaust and e85 and you should be making around 380-400hp but with the regular saab aero v6 you need the 19t turbo that this turbo x came with from factory
the engine can handle allot of power. prolific builds have one that was making around 500+hp with no issuse

I had one for 5 years, i hated the 2.8 v6 it is a lazy slow reving engine...and the car felt slow.
I could sell My XWD. 200 kW, ,sportscav abd silver . 12000.
