      Sir the variations in the service are usually not taught by anyone. Usually in doubles no one tells us the variations which will help u get good pts.
      Service is the beginning of the point and hence if we can serve strong we can get the hold from the beginning itself. So sir if that will be possible for u, pls get us more basics and variations in serve

    before diving, there are some things you should do first:
    1. stand correctly on the court (the toes should be slightly tip toed; sorry cant explain better for lack of better words)
    2. body should be slightly bend
    3. do the step 0 (the mini jump step) to generate momentum before using the thighs and calves to push towards the direction of the shuttlecock
    4. if u think the shuttlecock is quite far away even when u dive, u can try holding the racket as close to the end as possible to stretch the racket to make contact with the shuttle
    note: diving should come naturally and as much as possible should not be forced or u will make big & awkward movements which may cause injuries. also if you wanna experiment with diving, consider safety as well - check the weights used for the net stand to make sure there are no sharp edges as u can get a nasty head injury if u dive and crash into those thingies. a simple tip would be to cover those thingies with old clothes to cushion those sharp edges

    Love the video, but at 3:53 when you say "leg extension with right leg" you were wrong or ??? because it seems to me that LCW does his jump to the right side of the court with the left leg as extension :o ? on the previous jump it was really the right leg bcz it was on the left side. correct me if I misunderstood :s

    How do you contact the racket hand on the floor without damaging the racket?

    • @Bgbadminton
      @Bgbadminton  5 лет назад +1

      To be honest, it's quite hard... I noticed players usually dive with their knee and elbow to avoid racket damage, but the burns can get really bad though...
      If preserving your racket is key, then I'd suggest using the modified dive that I showed and glide on your shirt and pants, it minimizes damage to both your racket and self I guess.

    • @mistable
      @mistable 5 лет назад

    • @Bgbadminton
      @Bgbadminton  5 лет назад +1

      Palm down, kinda like push up position with your racket hitting the floor. If you keep clenching on the racket, you'll be doing somewhat a knuckle push up, it'll be a lot more painful for your fingers though, given that you're trying to stop a fast dive. So choice between racket damage or injury :/ hence why some people use their knee hahaha. But you'll end up with an abrasion for the entire week :D

    Your racket string tension how much

    • @Bgbadminton
      @Bgbadminton  4 года назад

      Firstly - don't copy me, it'll probably hurt your elbow because of the high tension.
      Secondly - 27-29 lbs (27lbs competition racket with thin string Nanoray 98, 29lbs training racket with a thicker string BG 65)
      If you're not sure, start with 23 lbs and go up slowly alright? Good luck!

    • @Bgbadminton
      @Bgbadminton  5 лет назад +1

      That's a very interesting question. It's really hard to say with so many factors :/ it's like saying you want to be the selected few to represent your country... It depends on the competition, politics of your association (you'll be surprised, trust me), your improvement rate and so forth. If you're in a badminton powerhouse country (unlike Malaysia, China, indo,Japan etc), then it really should be achievable! If you're older you might just make it for the Masters or veterans national team :D But then again international games will be really tough though... I urge you to think of your career carefully. Most nat athletes make peanuts ;)
