City overcame a 2-0 first leg defeat to win 3-0 at Bloomfield Road, sending the bantams to Wembley for the very first time.
All the hard work seemed to have been undone with one poor performance in the home leg, a large support travelled over the Pennines more in hope than expectation. Even the Blackpool programme had Wembley travel details in anticipation of their appearance in the play-off final. Kamara used the programme for his motivational team talk before the game.
City stunned the Bloomfield Road crowd and sent the travelling fans wild with a 3-0 win (3-2 on aggregate). It was perhaps one of the most amazing results in the club's.
