Had to pause about 30 seconds in to this to say.....I love the fact Guy has a friend named Mustard.....it so perfect.
Thought the same thing lol
Right?!😊
rumor has it he was on the beat
Right? He was like “my buddy mustard” and I was like wait wait wait, what did he just say?
dj mustard
I personally know the owner of more than one restaurant who has stayed in business thanks for diners, drive-ins and dives. He's being modest. There isn't a single figure in American food who has done more to champion mom and pop operations. The man's a saint.
Keith Lee
@@marchfifth1754in love Keith Lee but he can't shine guy's shoes in that department. During covid alone , he raised over 50 million fir small restaurants and workers. Keith is an offspring of DDD
He's being soooooo modest. He recommended so many restaurants and bars that I tried.
@@theauntofdragons You and how many other thousands upon thousands of people? You were on vacation and would have went to a chili's but instead knew of a place from DDD's. That restaurant owner was able to pay their mortgage and put their kids through college.
Nailed it
There is no one doing more to promote small businesses than Guy Fieri. He never has a bad word to say about anyone on his programs. I cannot fathom how anyone would talk down his success.
Him and Dave Portnoy, his one bite pizza reviews spotlight some good pizzerias
@@MrNerdelicious Dave Portnoy has has ended more businesses than he's helped... Literally a 3 minute clip of him not enjoying a pizza is enough for a place to get absolutely review bombed and eliminate future business
Maybe Keith Lee lol
He is not a wokie and has made that absolutely clear.
What success? He only drove around in a nice car and highlighted other people’s success. He got the best job in the history of mankind and he thinks he’s doing great things
I love this guy. People shit on him for being himself. He's an authentic person, and those people are rare in entertainment.
The person you see on TV is a character.
The interviewer does a good job of keeping quiet and letting Guy talk! Well done both of you! 😊
A good interviewer knows when to ask questions. A great interviewer knows when to shut up and let the guest talk. Helps to have good guests, too! Guy is one of those.
I love that too. Some interviewers treat it like a conversation not an interview. Very different concepts.
I was a first responder in a fairly large city. He frequented the area often. He would stay as long as it took to take pics, sign autographs and talk to you like a real human being. He’s a real dude.
I ran into him in Baltimore once and he was literally the nicest guy I've ever talked to. He's just a normal dude. I tell people about that as often as possible. Super genuine dude.
Doesn't sound like the guy I drove around for the wine and food festival in Miami. He was provided a free ride service throughout the whole event. In a brand new Audi A8. Would wait for him until 4 am some nights, dropped him at the airport and not so much as a thank you. Dude was a prick
He’s definitely a bro.
I never met him in Baltimore
His staff is exceptional at every restaurant I've been to. Not sure if that's him or those douchey sunglasses! He's easy to hate until you see his work firsthand.
@@LongJonSilver305he was probably drunk dude...
He came to my hometown to do Diners Drive-Ins and Dives. Super nice fellow, everyone liked him.
A lot of people hate on him because he is positive…. They should look inward
One of the top comments ever man!
I don't understand the haters on this guy.traveled the world, learned how to cook, opened his own restaurants, gained notoriety and fame on tv, and he is still a grounded decent, humble man.
100% specially after this interview he seems very genuine
It’s because his hair and his “hey brooooo let’s eaaaaat” attitude. The whole spiked hair hang loose vibe is hatable. I don’t mind him at all but I get it. Similar reason people hate Nickleback or carrot top.
@@rodleypumpkins4174How’s the basement?
People are jealous a normal guy found success.
@@Psylliumhuskie uhoh 😕 how did I offend you?
The DDD spotlight used to increase a wait time from 15 to 75+ mins. But that’s a GOOD thing! ❤
I"d bet my last dollar that Guy would just be awesome to sit somewhere and have a cup of coffee with. No cameras.
Just a good down to earth human being !!~ Love you guy.
You’d lose that dollar
I'm praying you own two dollars
@@LudiCrust. Why he's a bad guy or something?
Guy Fieri is a gem.
So much respect for people like him -- full of integrity, humbleness, positivity. He seems to know what's important and walks the talk.
He's one person that I can watch on repeat without getting bored. I also love that he involves his boys.
I love nothing more than when an interviewer lets their guest tell their story, uninterrupted. Nice job.
I've know a few "stars" in my life and I always had Guy pegged as a bit "over the top." But this interview has changed my mind completely. He is an honestly warm person who cares deeply about his responsibilities within his industry.
Normally I'm not into these kinds of things. So glad I clicked on this video. Not only because he's a down to earth dude, but because I have to give respect to the dog in the middle of it.
😂 I did not notice.. a frenchie!!
He visited a small diner in my hometown in season 1 (I believe). It's called South Side Soda Shop. That restaurants success exploded after that show aired. Family is still doing well.
I Googled the diner. What is the green soda in the tall glass?
@@hattiem.7966 They do old timey phosphate sodas there. The green one is called Green river or something like that. I think it taste like green apple.
@@DoubleD19788 Dang!!! I adore anything green apple!!!!!!!
That’s so wonderful
I believe I have a new level of respect for Guy Fieri! Well done Sir!😊
When my wife makes me watch food shows this guy is the most entertaining. I never understood the hate
More like envy and jealousy.
Guy, I just wanted to share how much your show meant to me. When I first came to the U.S. for school, I didn’t speak English well and didn’t have many friends. Watching Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives gave me a sense of comfort and connection. It felt like you were my friend, and even now I find myself going back to those episodes whenever I miss those days. Your show also sparked my love for classic American muscle cars - seeing you cruise in those beauties was a dream come true for me. Thank you for being a bright spot during a challenging time in my life.
Always been a Guy fan, I love regular people doing amazing things. Enjoy your shine my man, you earned it!
What a wonderful man , he is the real deal. Much respect. It is all about the people ❤
I feel like any complaints about this guy are because he's got a chef mindset. You can't fault him at all for who he is and how very clearly he loves what he does. All credit
Trash can nachos.
Chefs hate him. Lol I can't tell you how many times we made fun of this dude in the kitchens I've worked in. It's not his "chef mindset" that annoys people. It's his whole "spikey haired bro mindset".
@@clicheguevara5282 flip me a burger, boy
The Humbleness of this man is very impressive! 💯
😂humble! lol with the tatts the earrings the necklace the spiky hair! Ok lmao
@@johngraybill6783 He can do what he wants. He deserves it.
You even have a job bud?
@@smoothoperator1083 he might deserve it but that doesn’t make him humble, in my humble opinion.
@@johngraybill6783 The fact he makes as much money as he does and acts classy about it is what makes it impressive dude. Calm down.🤣

I encourage you to talk to people that’ve worked for, or with, him. The best of the best change as soon as the camera turns on. He is one of them which is the best compliment you can pay him.
Graham - I wish many would take your approach and ask one question and wait for the guest to give the full experience of their answer!! Also, I have never understood the dislke by so many of Guy.....what an honest and caring person he is of his craft and true to his beliefs.
“Positive vibe” ☝🏼🙏🏼 why he’s the GOAT.
I wasn't familiar with him but I can definitely say he sounds like an amazing person, I'm really glad he took that opportunity.
He seems like a good person. People are intimidated by honesty and integrity, keep it up!
I love him! He's a great human being. During covid, he helped so many of us service people.
I'm in Rhode Island, and his wife is from Rhode Island so he's been here a bunch
We’ve been to several DDD restaurants here in FL, and they were hit or miss, by probably a 50/50 ratio.
The ones that were “misses” for us all had one thing in common. When talking to some locals who’s been eating there for years, they all would say that the reason they went “downhill” was because they got massive amounts of new customers from the show, and weren’t able to keep up with the new demand, so they started cutting corners.
It seemed to be a case of “be careful what you wish for”.
His moma and daddy did a great job raising a son like this man here.
I never understood the hate this guy gets. All he ever did was give free advertising to small businesses doing great things. Cheers to The King of Flavor Town.
My daughter is 26 and LOVES this show, which is new to her now. I'm glad she can see Guy introduce these great restaurants and the wonderful people who make them happen.
Have never met Guy, but have been a huge fan of triple D shows over the years.
But he seems like the most sincerest person and genuinely down to earth dude you can be.
I’ve had really tough jobs with unbelievable stress and every Friday I watch Diners Drive ins and Dives and I feel the stress leave my body. Guy is one of the greatest people around and I’d like to thank him for getting me through some of the toughest moments in my life by letting me sit back relax and enjoy his show. Keep up the good work.
The concept of DDD was fantastic and I think anyone who watched the shows probably realized the effect Guy and show was doing for these restaurants. To hear the story of just one restaurant owner saying what happened to his restaurant after the show is so emotional. Can you imagine what happened with all the other restaurants DDD visited and featured? Simply amazing.
The more i see this man speak the more i realize how special he is, love you GF!
Now I understand who this guy has so many friends. He seems like a genuinely good dude
Seeing him like this, it's no wonder Robert Irvine says he's his best friend. Seems like a real one.
Guy seems to be so kind and down to earth, how refreshing in this day and age.
Guy is really on the mount Rushmore for food personalities that have helped the food business. He came from a restaurant background and never had anything bad to say on air about any place he was ever at. Just brought a feel good energy for viewers and brought customers in for the business itself. Bless
I shot some behind the scenes at the south beach food and wine fest about 7 years back and he was like the guest MC and our host fell ill the day of and couldnt work and when he saw me and my PA shooting his booth he goes "wheres your host?" Told him what happened and he grabbed the mic from our boom and just went straight into host mode the rest of the night. My boss couldnt believe when i showed him the footage the following monday.
Guy is a mf legend
He treats his show like Jonathan Gold did his food write ups. He won’t say anything about the bad places, and he makes sure the good ones are ready for the opportunity that’s about to happen.
This guy just won’t take credit for credits he truly deserves and that’s what makes a great man.
He just takes credit for what doesn't deserve.
This really resonates with me. He seems like someone that you could enjoy a conversation with over a beer.
This is by far the best interview and the best guest I have seen on your channel
Oh Graham you beautiful bastard. You get the best celebs on here
Hahahaha
I’m sitting down to interview Graham soon
He’s interviewed his share of total assholes as well….
He’s the only one I saw during the lockdown asking people to donate to help restaurant workers. He’s good in my book.
And when the floods and fires that affected his area too along with those in Paradise.
I like this man. He seems genuinely grateful for what he has made possible for others. He has remained grounded through it all.
Very solid dude indeed!
This was a great experience to watch. I had a different image of Guy Fieri. Not negative per se, but he's more down-to-earth than his persona gives him credit for. It's also educational to see his experiences and how his show had a positive impact.
I never like Guy because he looks like kind of a douche with the hair & jewelry. I mean, I've known people that styled themselves like that before and they're generally dipshits. But i'm a convert now, haha.
Love watching him.All his different shows are great.
No matter how you feel about him this is hands-down the best food related show ever to be on TV. Just to look of pride in these peoples faces when he does this show makes this great.
This interview makes it so easy to understand why Anthony Bordane hated him so much. Guy is such a good dood. Anthony was a good story teller. Never their competition in passing.
I’ve read multiple stories that Bordane was a massive AH, and just snooty & rude.
2 kinds of people: givers & takers. I think Bordain was arrogant, self involved & not very nice. The way he died, was incredibly selfish. He had a child. The thought of a parent willingly inflicting that pain & lifelong burden on their little girl makes me nauseous.
@@JohnDoe-zr8pcHe was and had serious head issues.
@@hensonlauraI think he was 50 when she was born.
Very early on my daughter and I went to all the locations within driving distance and it became our thing. It was a blast.
We've seen a few and eaten at 3.
This interview just solidifies him as the goat
Whenever I'm away from home, I search the internet for episodes of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives filmed at nearby restaurants before deciding where to eat. I've waited on some long lines, but have never been disappointed with the food.
Guy seems so nice and humble. I'm happy to see this spotlight on him
Bobby Flay's "Grillin and Chillin" introduced me to such a thing as a Food Network back when. I love to cook, occasionally for large crowds but the network was NYC driven; I thought just East Coast and a bit weird. But me being a Left Coast guy (don't confuse that at all with Leftist), Guy Fieri sealed the deal.
One of the most genuine in the business. Always enjoyed watching what he has done.
I need a smash burger now. And a cheap weekend cruise.
Guy is the GOAT of the Food Network. His shows are interesting, he’s a great host and seems like a regular decent person not stuck on himself.
I think most of us rather spend a day with Guy than Bobby Flay.
I love Guy…. He’s so open and I have learned so much about so many different foods from all his shows…. Thank you Guy❣️
You know it's gonna be a lit night in the hotel room when 3D was on TV 😂
I gotta local joint that still has sign saying they were featured on Guy Fieri Triple d
I went on a cruise and one of his burger joints was on the cruise, you could get as many as you wanted and they were soooo good.
Have many good memories watching ddd with grandma
I have heard many people say that they have worked with him or met him and they said he is the nicest person.
Fantastic interview! Guy is a great story teller. Love getting a little more insight into his character. "Authenticity is everything". Love it.
Admire Guy Fieri, straight up hustler. His show Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives was one of top favorite shows on Food Network. Very cool interview.
Very cool. Watched many episodes of 3D over the years. Saw him walking out of Disneyland about 10 years ago. We said, "Hey, there's that Food Network guy.". lol
"Signing my life away to Food Network" just drew me in.
I met guy in Vegas while he was at UNLV going to school, when mullet boy had long dark hair, lol
Genuine nice west coast boy, good family, now all grown up, his venture to do what he does, he was told it would never happen , he obviously proved the doubters and haters wrong , 👍
I've always liked Guy, but I like him even more, now.
Remember when Guy cooked food for the firefighters some years ago in California. Dude is awesome.
Guy is a national treasure. Love you Guy!
The best show on TV. Love you man. Watch it every Friday night
Food Network doesnt actually have cooking shows anymore. It's all about reality shows, cooking games, kids baking shows etc....Its all gimicks
I'm tired of Bobby Flay but I did like his older shows from 25 years ago. Bobby owns half the stock in the FN.
I love me some Guy Fieri. Always have always will.
great series. more respect for Mr. Fieri. I also blame him for his late night DDD showings for my weight gain. LOL!
Thanks for being so candid.
When DDD contacted me to appear on the show I thought it was a joke too! It’s funny to hear him say it happened to him! My experience with him was amazing!
I like the fact that he is realistic, and he does not give a fuck about the Food Network. It’s a stupid channel that should never exist to begin with he just did it because he knew there was a fat paycheck involved. I would’ve done the same thing but I don’t like pop culture and I’m definitely not a culture vulture but this guy literally made me watch a channel that I would never watch in a million years I give him props for remaining real and not becoming a fake bubblegum celebrity
When I saw Guy the very first time on the show that he ended up winning I said that's the winner.
I would Google spots specifically he visited because they are all so far as good as he experienced. I’ve been to 4 so far
One of my favorite restaurants that I visit in Phoenix, I had no idea existed, until I saw it on the show.
Same, anytime I was in a new city I’d check out what places he had done there
Anytime me and my friends go out of town we look for a DDD
Wow incredible interview
I’ve had the opportunity to actually eat at one of his restaurants in Pigeon Forge. The place was soooooo damn cool! Great arcade, great damn food. Just a great experience that I am glad to have been able to do. Guy is a good dude.
I’ve really become a fan of Guy over the past couple of years. I’ll admit I was a hater for awhile. My first impression of him was a line of food with his name on it at TGIF Fridays restaurants and it wasn’t good. But his impact on the mom and pop restaurant industry with the tv show and his positivity cannot be denied.
I love this dude! I don't get the hate people throw at him.....He is a great human being
Guy is such a good burst of energy
Guy is the best! Just a lovely human being!
Brother Guy with a good cigar . Now that’s a best friend in the making! 😂😂
DDD is the only Food Network show left that I like.
I love your channel friend thank you for this amazing interview with Guy he is awesome🤘❤️🤘🖤
He just seems really humble
