Hi all, the "restart to update" button is currently changed to "check for update" in the recent versions, (My current version: 1.81.1). 😅 So if you want to restart vscode, I suggest you use the plugin: "reload". After you install this plugin, at the bottom right corner, there will be a "reload" button. If you click the button, then the vscode will be restarted. I think, this is one the most used plugin for me! 😉 Thanks @noorulsubathani8396 for reporting this issue! 👍
It's as slow as ever even with all extensions disabled. VS Code is undeniable powerful, but I've begun to use Sublime Text again whenever I can. VS Code's sluggishness is straight up unbearable on recent builds.
Hi @noorulsubathani8396 if you use mac os, then in menu: code -> check for updates . But usually if there is a new version, the vscode will show a popup when you start your vscode.
@@noorulsubathani8396 there is a plugin called "reload", if you installed the plugin, then on the bottom right corner, will be a "reload" button. Next time, just click it, then your vscode will be restarted. :-) P.S., this video is already more than one year old, so during the time, vscode has updated many versions. I just checked my vscode, the "restart to update" is also dissapeared. Thanks for reporting this issue!

did you also tried the "workspace"?
Awesome thank you so much .

Found the problem!!!! Disable auto import in c# extension, this makes omnisharp very laggy.....
visual code has become crap with its performance...
After diabling some extensions my code doesn't run and debug console opens??
Please help
I would suggest disable all the extensions, restart and then, enable them one by one. Another way is you can try to make a workspace.
There is no update option
