The 3 rolls that I have are amazing and have strengths and weakness. I would lean more to Eye + RF if I was able to choose, but every roll I went over is perfectly OK.

I’d recommend Hammer Forged for range lovers for range without any tradeoffs, or Smallbore / Arrowhead for people who like more balanced stats
I'm a controller player, and I have Eye + RF with a stability masterwork, and I'm loving this thing. I have a couple decent rolls outside of this one, so I can definitely see that there's a variety of viable combinations. Beyond those, though, the weapon just has a nice feel/sound/look to it that make it attractive from jump. Very nice weapon.
I'm really glad to hear you say eye of the storm and rangefinder was worth. I don't know hand cannons super well and I've just had that roll sitting in my vault out of fear
LOVED the breakdown of some of those duels - showing eye of the storm kicking in to help you win a fight, or the scenario where you would have won with a Pali. Very helpful to see those those perks play out in actual games
Got one with reload mw, arrowhead, accurized, eots, and timed payload. I find myself winning so many gunfights with it, I don't know if I even care about getting the "god roll" anymore.
Mine is almost the same! Stability mw, poly, flared mag, eots, timed payload and I won lots of fights where they were 1 shot ran away but timed payload finished them ahahaha
I've got a few but my favorite so far has accurized, EoS, timed payload and handling MW and small bore. I've used timed payload on few guns before and they have all been 'meh'. For some reason on this gun and these perks it works amazing. I get many kills after the fact. Wonderful gun
I had one drop for me with sbore, accurized, range mw. The middle perks are heating up and focused fury. Honestly, i really, really like it. Very consistent. I love also that i cant farm it persay. Like eyasluna in d1. U get the drop and the anticipation u feel when u check it is awesome. Might be poopy, might be golden. Loving this gun. Mainly bbecause i dont have pali, but i will be doing gmasters this season so hopefully i get a good one to compare them both. For now, this will be my main hc.
I love the Eye of the Storm + OS roll, and it seems better for controller than RF and OS really helps on that situations were you panic and miss your free headshot. I would also love to have one with Timed Payload to change into it when there's people chilling at the end of the map
Wow, didn’t realize there were SO many great rolls. I have been chasing one with rapid hit rangefinder. Rapid hit is one of my fav perks in pvp and rangefinder is pretty straight forward

Excellent content. The quality and effort is night and day from some other Destiny content out there. Also, can confirm. Both Cantata and Hello Fresh are worth checking out. Fresh is a little more expensive per unit than the grocery store but I find there's less waste, so overall it's a wash. Everything being measured and ready to go keeps us motivated to cook from home. This is much more than I ever thought I'd say on the internet about cooking and it's under a video about gaming no less. Yet, here we are...
Awesome comment and I totally agree, which is why I screenshot CoolGuy's hello fresh code! Easy to make recipes if you're new to cooking and you'll learn new tricks and be able to re-use recipes on your own! (I love the sponsorship bc too many creators just order junk food and sugar drinks.)
I'm excited to get one of these with Rapid Hit/Heating Up/Steady Hands along with Timed Payload. Sure it won't hit the range of Pallies but it doesn't matter when you learn to fight within Cantata'a range anyway, like you said. Payload is just absurd for winning duels due to outflinching people, and Cantata with it sounds like a direct upgrade to Annual Skate! Very excited for this Handcannon.
It's worth noting payload perks extend effective range, which is why a fatebringer can match a Pali... And this has damn near Pali range AND can get a payload perk, so theoretically it might maintain 3tap beyond Pali range with a high range timed payload roll
I really like this hand cannon just because it feels good in the hand. A lot of top tier hand cannons that are great but when i use them it just feels clunky even with a god roll. This guns feeling is chefs kiss to me.
I got a Corkscrew, Accurized, Rapid hit, Timed payload with a range MW, and man it’s crisp. It feels like a direct upgrade from my surplus TP Annual Skate, and I love it.
As someone who's still hung up on New Monarchy's Older Sister not getting a proper reissue last year, I am glad to see this thing has a totally cracked perk pool, even if my borderline crippling Riskrunner phobia will absolutely not allow me to use the thing in crucible.
I'd agree that there isn't simply 1 drop to go for. There are loads and they're all good - even on controller. I've been enjoying an EotS / Timed Payload recently - but Heating Up / Range Finder equally fun. Glad to see your review.
I picked one up that I'm pretty entertained by. Ex.Barrel/TacMag/Rapid Hit/Timed with a handling masterwork and its definitely been working for me. Glad that they didn't try to put Outlaw and Timed together again. Been fun swinging this around.
I am quite curious to see people put together some builds that involve steady hands + harmony. Specifically, a harmony sidearm with tricksleeves to stack the buffs, and most interestingly, crisis inverted+riiswalker with both guns having steady hands AND harmony
I got extended barrel, accurized , heating up, rangefinder with a range masterwork. The synergy of heating up and suros synergy it's just as crazy as opening shot. Not to mention some palindrome type range. I know how much you like heating up, I'm surprised you didn't mention this roll
My roll I’m enjoying rn is Hammer Forged/Accurized/Rapid Hit/Rangefinder. I’ve actually found that if I tag someone with a headshot or 2 to proc rapid hit, duck behind cover to reload fast with RH bonus + HC reloader on gloves, I’m able to repeek and win more of those 50/50 gunfights sooner than normal because not only am I able to hit headshots still thanks to unflinching/suros perk, but I’m also flinching my opponent off my head at the same time.
I have an opening shot and steady hands roll with arrowhead brake and appended mag, and I have never landed more head shots. The gun just feels so good to shoot. Already probably my favorite hand cannon ever. I do want to try some other rolls, but it is going to be hard to put this one down.
I finally got a decent roll on this thing recently. I got Smallbore, Appended Mag, Rapid Hit, Rangefinder, and a Stability Masterwork. Rapid hit to give me more flinch resist through stability and a quicker reload for the suros intrinsic perk is amazing and it feels great to use. I just hope the Rangefinder nerf doesn't hit too hard when it happens.
The very first drop I got out of the legendary Campaign was an arrow head brake with rapid hit and explosive payload. Masterworked and locked it immediately and Im not even an avid hand cannon user but it felt... Good is a disservice to how satisfying that gun feels to use.
Started Witch Queen late and only have 1 roll, was curious what you guys think of it. Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Rapid Hit, Moving Target, and a reload speed masterwork.
im a casual blueberry and don't have palindrom but found a cantata smallbore, accurized, rapid hit, and moving target...its not fancy but its easy to use and i love it
Roll 1 chambered comp. Accurized or tac mag Eye of the storm opening shot Roll 2. Arrowhead break. Accurized. heating up. Vorpal weapon. Oh yeah it’s all comin together. Unfortunately I have 2 adept palis for pvp and 2 adept palis for pve. Pvp ones both have QuickDraw one has killing wind the other range finder. Pve one has subsistence rampage the other QuickDraw one for all with a range masterwork. I really like the cantata 57. But adept big ones is a thing and so is adept Icarus which adds more range.
My only Palindrome is not great. I got a Cantata with Arrowhead, accurized, steady hands, focused fire and it feels so good to use. As you said though, there are times I lose due to range but if I'm in range I feel much more consistent than with other hand cannons I personally have.
I had a feeling that this weapon would become popular. I basically never use hand cannons, but something about this one just felt super good the first time I picked it up.
Haven't used it yet but I took a look when I got it and knew I had to keep mine. The roll I got was Hammer forged, accurized rounds, rapid hit, and timed payload with a handling master work.
Besides the great rolls you can get, the style of the hand cannon is what caught my attention. So many handcannons in Destiny 2 look so similar. I’m hoping we’ll see more variety in the visual style of guns going forward. Each foundry weapon has a unique look one which you can tell: yep, that’s an omolon, or a suros.
I'd really like to see you do some in depth breakdowns of specific craftable weapons. What types of perk combos to go for, which enhanced perks are worth it, what mods to stack with it to maximize its effectiveness, ect. Great video as always!
After watching this video, I had one drop with Eye and RF from a random jabroni in the open world. I was digging the timed payload version I had though.
I think the new crucible omolon is pretty cool. Roll is suggest is full bore. range mw. Highcals/richochets. Underpressure. And your choice of killclip, Rangefinder, Opening shot and Snapshot. With the omolon perk you get boosted stability and reload for the fist 50% of the mag. BUT with under pressure you get more stabillity and accuracy for the bottom 50% of the mag.
Just got two with rangefinder and then eye of the storm and steady hand respectively. Both rolled hammer forged (and no range masterwork, but one rolled stability). They're performing pretty well so far, although steady hands feels a little redundant once you extend the suros trait with the season mod. But in general I think we can all agree, this can go against some of the best Palindromes and Lunas.
I need some input. I'm console player and got two rolls. Smallbore, flared mag, rapid hit, moving target, and stability mw Chambered, accurized, eye of the storm, opening shot, and range master. Which one would y'all masterwork. I'm going to play test later but thought I would ask first.
Opening shot + Heating up is amazing for low stakes pve, it just feels like the gun is aiming for me. Can't miss the first red bar headshot with opening shot, and after that, you get heating up rolling. It feels like a smart pistol. Also, unlike Palindrome, which drops less than a lightning strikes out of clear sky on a good day, while Cantata is dropping left-right-centre from what feels like every 3rd legendary engram. You can also focus umbral engram for worldly weapons. So far, I've already got about a dozen of them, though none other than that HU+OS caught my attention
Eye of the storm opening shot roll is perfect. You have arrow head, Accurized and stability masterwork. That’s my perfect role. Almost to 68 stability, and the 100 record direction. Butter
IMPORTANT QUESTION! Funnelweb or shayura's wrath 👀? I main peacekeepers and a adept shayura's with tunnel vision and killclip, and I really want your opinion on if it's worth grinding. I would greatly appreciate it🙏❤
I got a max range one of these, a max range of the crucible HC, and a opening rangefinder Waking Vigil, and from playing around last night, this one feels the best
I've got a few rolls of this that I'm hanging onto! Chambered, Flared Magwell, Heating Up, Focused Fury, Range MW I like the synergy between Heating Up & Focused Fury a lot. Then... Hammer-Forged, Accurized Rounds, Steady Hands, Rangefinder, Stability MW, the Extra Stability is extremely noticeable on this one! Then my final roll that I'm a little unsure about, Hammer-Forged, Accurized Rounds, EOTS, Timed Payload, Range MW, it's the Timed Payload I'm funny about, whilst it does its job! There's something off putting about dealing the damage after taking the shot?
It such a good feel weapon to use. I don’t know if it because the handling masterwork I got, but I was pleasantly surprised how good it felt to shoot this HC. Reminds of spare rations
It’s not just you, I have two of these and have used them in pve (rapid/times payload and eye/vorpal) they both felt great. I was really surprised. I didn’t want to take it off but it wouldn’t fit my pve build. Gonna try in pvp later
I have a hammer forged, flared magwell, rapid hit, moving target roll with a range mw and a small bore, accurized, heating up, range finder roll with a reload mw and I'm really not sure which I like more 🤔
I haven't had a chance to try this gun out in crucible yet but as soon as I saw the rolls and stats on it I knew this was going to be excellent Crucible gun. I have one with Eye of the Storm, Moving Target, Accurized, and Smallbore/Full Bore with a range masterwork that I really want to try out. It has 84 range, same range as impact. My best pally only has 73 range with RF.
The hipfire grip and opening shot roll is insanely strong and pretty competitive. If you're a stompie hunter it's amazing to stack onto that in air hipfire accuracy. It can roll with pretty good range too. These other rolls I'll have to go for
I think you made valid points for steady hands, but imo I usually spec into handling to win fights, I don't normally need handling after a fight is done. So for me, steady hands doesn't have much value. Especially if my intentions are to proc it for my Shotty to be good, it's more of a downfall to have. Because when steadhands isn't proc'd my Shotty has low handling, I rather have consistent handling that isn't based off me getting a kill. But that's just me. I know some people love this perk.
How do you feel about the Omolon Hand Cannon Crisis Inverted dropping from crucible? I've gotten some great rolls so far, and I've been really liking it.
I have a hammer forged/Accurized/Steady Hands/Opening Shot roll I've been meaning to try out in Crucible. I have a 4/5 Adept Pali that I love, but I also really love how Soros' feel.
I said on another recent video of yours that I don’t like hand cannons. They’re the one primary archetype I just don’t like the feeling of. However, I got one of these with rapid hit, moving target, a d rapid hit, timed payload. I do really want to give them a try in pvp and see if they change my mind
I am a controller player and was fortunate enough to get a great roll that works for me: Range Finder/Rapid hit with accurized rounds and arrowhead brake with a range masterwork. Range stat is sitting nicely at 69.The roll I got reminds me of spare rations.
I know people love to groan about Bungie seeming out of touch or not listening, but this new expansion has dropped an absolute treasure trove of insanely good loot for an extremely low comparative barrier of entry. I like this more egalitarian push where there's basically something worth while to grab from everywhere and it can compete. I honestly don't think we've had things this interesting since Forsaken.
even a self-contradicting roll like hipfire grip/rangefinder absolutely slaps, although that might be because I pair it with a sniper and hipfire grip helps make up for lack of close range lethality. I’m thinking I want a Steady Hands roll so I can use a sniper that doesn’t have Snapshot. One primary kill would totally make up for that ADS speed.
My fav roll I have is Full Bore, Acc Rounds, EotS, Vorpal, handling MW. Range is 74, and even though stability is super low (47), recoil dir is 85 and it somehow still feels amazing *on controller*. I usually try to spec for stability on HC to some degree so I’m really surprised by this. I like it better than any adept palindrome I ever got.
Enjoying my corkscrew, accurised, heating up and RF with reload MW. Heating up synergises so well with the intrinsic trait, in that it compensates for those 2v1 duels where you don’t have time to reload.
I got and Eye/Payload roll that I instantly fell in love with. It's SOOOO much better than my Surplus/Payload Annual Skate, I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Got a Heating up and Time Payload one, pretty nasty for PvE. Got me through that new Arrival Witch Queen quest on Legendary. I'm new I don't got a big pool of weapons so between that and Reckless Endangerment and a Heavy Nade launcher with Demolitionist, I've been putting nades downrange with ridiculous cool down rates, so far under a minute with everything I got on.
Not gonna talk about cantana but about another energy handcannon, crisis inverted. I got a roll with compulsive reloader and kill clip that combined with the omolon fluid dynamics intrinsic perk made me forget that hand cannon loaders even existed. The second colum perk could be a lot of things but the combo of compulsive reload on an omolon weapon feels really good and I was wondering if you had any experience with it
I have an incredible adept pali, quickdraw/rangefinder, hammer forged/high cal/stability. I use it for those long range situations. I want eye of the storm / moving target on this one, straight dueling monster. that way i can justify using pali and cantata for different situations. can’t wait til I get my hands on it
Very informative thank you! I got a small bore, accurized, eye of the storm, and moving target, with a range masterwork. I’m excited to test it out vs my pally. I’m pairing it with a raghild-d with full bore, assualt mag, perpetual motion, and elemental capacitor with a handling masterwork. On arc subclass I’m gonna test it probably on bottom tree arcstrider hunter. Running hand cannon dex and reloader we’ll see how it goes!!
Have such a roll I love. Arrowhead, accurised, eye o storm, timed payload with a range masterwork. Man timed payload has won me so many duels. It is a flinch machine.
I have a beautiful Heating Up + Opening Shot roll and it's just... incredible, really! Opening Shot to get my first shot on point and get the kill, then Heating Up gets me ridiculous headshots too. It's been a blast to use, so far!
I have to say, I have waited for this video for a few days now since my first Cantata dropped. I had about 7-8 of them, and had to shard a few because of limited vault space, no godroll, but I always like playing with guns with weird perk combinations :)
Yea bungie didn't really help us out on the vault space front did they. I had 60+ open slots last week and I'm already running out of space. Granted there's some cleaning I can do but I've got like 13 red bordered weapons that have to level so I can shard but my materials are pretty much max and I don't want to waste mats.
@@Whitebishop89 I maxed up on materials too. Materials requirement balancing for crafting surely is a thing Bungie is never really good at. When are they going to hire people that can do simple math?
Haven’t tried it yet but I have hammer forged, accurized, heating up, timed payload as well as a hammer forged, flared magwell, EOTS, and vorpal. Curious to give it a shot!
I have a hammer forged, tactical mag or flared mag, rapid hit Rangefinder with a range MW! @coolguy would you go with tac mag or flared mag? Great video as usual!!
Drifter got useful this time giving me a small bore accurized me range eots and rangefinder one. I feel like that Suros Synergy trait is what makes this gun so good and comparable to palindrome. That reduced flinch is noticeable, and that handling is crazy. Overall the BEST handcannon to go for if grandmasters are not your thing
I can agree with your takes here but i just can't get over that eye of the storm opening shot. I have around 600 kills on mine already and i love it so far! Great video!
the steady hands + RF was a lucky drop from legendary campaign, came with extended and acc rounds. I like that someone is actually talking about how good steady hands is
I have one with hip fire grip and timed payload, and it’s the first time I’ve had a cannon I don’t really have to ADS. But I haven’t tried in PVP, yet.
The 3 rolls that I have are amazing and have strengths and weakness. I would lean more to Eye + RF if I was able to choose, but every roll I went over is perfectly OK.
My second ever was eye and opening, pretty happy with it
Really want Eye + RF as an MnK player; could see controller players wanting Heating Up + RF or Opening, and that would be good on MnK too but the “reduces how much you need to fight upward recoil” value of Stability matters to mainly just controller players
ALSO: anyone reading this, on MnK especially, do not steer into range at the cost of all else by wanting Full Bore, this isn’t quite the stat monster Adept Pali is, 1 to 1 with no mods Pali has higher base stats so you can argue taking a bit off the top of with Full Bore if you *really must* with that gun
But for Cantata? I’d recommend Hammer Forged for range lovers for range without any tradeoffs, or Smallbore / Arrowhead for people who like more balanced stats

My first chest of the first mission in WQ dropped one with moving target, steady hands, accurized rounds, arrowhead, and range masterwork.
I'm really glad to hear you say eye of the storm and rangefinder was worth. I don't know hand cannons super well and I've just had that roll sitting in my vault out of fear
Honestly just getting a legendary form of that Allegro model that’s actually competitive has always been a wish of mine
Dude yes!
Same i love that hand cannon the fact that it is a blue hand cannon and stand from others it just feels good.
Oh man the allegro takes me back to when i first stared playing destiny.
Worth mentioning psionic forging 1 on the artifact that increases the duration of the suros perk.
not the duration but the effect, makes it stronger, don't know what % stronger though
@@Isabelle-mp8rk ah yes of course, think I'll wait for someone to do the maths on that, if it's even possible to test
@@budgiezilla1412 whatever it is, it's worth fosho
@@Isabelle-mp8rk tbh even if its 1% less flinch theres no point in not using it
@@bink21 if you're using an Artifice helmet sure. If not and the bonus is insignificant it might be more worth to use a targeting mod.
LOVED the breakdown of some of those duels - showing eye of the storm kicking in to help you win a fight, or the scenario where you would have won with a Pali. Very helpful to see those those perks play out in actual games
The timed payload and eye of the storm roll is best for me. It gives extra flinch and boosts accuracy. The two things you need most in a hand cannon
I’ve got that and Compulsive Reloader + Timed Payload. Definitely locked them both when they dropped.
Those Steady Hands clips were actually nuts, what the hell?
hi from stream
Got one with reload mw, arrowhead, accurized, eots, and timed payload. I find myself winning so many gunfights with it, I don't know if I even care about getting the "god roll" anymore.
ya found YOUR god roll sir
I do like timed Payload very much indeed.
Timed payload is the flinch master.

I've always sworn by allegro-34 being the best feeling handcannon in the game. This is its final form and its beautiful.

corkscrew rifling, accurized rounds, heating up, focused fury, handling masterework.

I love tp, and the only thing holding me back from only using annual skate was that it wasn't good enough.
Started Witch Queen late and only have 1 roll, was curious what you guys think of it. Smallbore, Accurized Rounds, Rapid Hit, Moving Target, and a reload speed masterwork.
That’s pretty good! The extra reload speed from rapid hit and reload masterwork will help with triggering that intrinsic trait
im a casual blueberry and don't have palindrom but found a cantata smallbore, accurized, rapid hit, and moving target...its not fancy but its easy to use and i love it
Roll 1 chambered comp. Accurized or tac mag Eye of the storm opening shot
Roll 2.
I have an Opening Shot Eye of the Storm roll. Feels great and the barrel is clean.
Oh that is S tier, you basically only have to TRY to hit the second shot, first and last are practically free
Same, first ever Cantata I had drop has fluted, accurized rounds, EOTS and opening shot with range masterwork.
I had a feeling that this weapon would become popular. I basically never use hand cannons, but something about this one just felt super good the first time I picked it up.
I was very sad that I couldn't craft this or the veist auto the first time i got them to drop
I want a really nasty looking veist hand cannon so bad
I'd really like to see you do some in depth breakdowns of specific craftable weapons. What types of perk combos to go for, which enhanced perks are worth it, what mods to stack with it to maximize its effectiveness, ect. Great video as always!
The lack of player decisions is crazy nowadays
Smallbore, flared mag, rapid hit, moving target, and stability mw
Chambered, accurized, eye of the storm, opening shot, and range master.
I would greatly appreciate it🙏❤
Totally agree about steady hands. Getting better quick draw and snapshot on all your weapons is no joke. That perk deserves more attention.
CoolGuy out here showing killer gameplay from all three classes for the same weapon review. Amazing.
@@starkraven1148 i never understood why people wouldn't just use Sunshot if they are going to use a HC in PvE. It's by far the best.
I have a hammer forged, flared magwell, rapid hit, moving target roll with a range mw and a small bore, accurized, heating up, range finder roll with a reload mw and I'm really not sure which I like more 🤔
I got the literal perfect roll for myself, rangefinder, eye on the storm, Accurized, range masterwork and small bore. Feels pretty good.
Ngl I saw the thumbnail and man does it remind me of my favorite d1 handcannon the new monarchy Red Hand IX and I NEED IT
I said on another recent video of yours that I don’t like hand cannons.
Probably my favorite destiny RUclipsr atm, and destiny content is just about all I watch lol
I have been loving my stability masterwork, rapid hit timed payload roll. It's been finding people with a large number of Miss shots on their behalf
My first one dropped with Heating Up and Timed Payload. I've kept it with me ever since.
Hm you make solid point about Compulsive Reloader. I’m gonna keep my eye out for one with opening shot or timed payload.
I did get a 4.5/5 pali, but this thing feels so good to use
even a self-contradicting roll like hipfire grip/rangefinder absolutely slaps, although that might be because I pair it with a sniper and hipfire grip helps make up for lack of close range lethality.
I’m thinking I want a Steady Hands roll so I can use a sniper that doesn’t have Snapshot. One primary kill would totally make up for that ADS speed.
I have small bore, accurized, EOTS and RF, Range MW and I love it.
I got one today with eye of the storm and rangefinder. I'm falling in love with it. Great pair with the chaperone
I have a fluted barrel , accurized rounds , steady hand abs opening shots with a range master work. It’s pretty good
Enjoying my corkscrew, accurised, heating up and RF with reload MW. Heating up synergises so well with the intrinsic trait, in that it compensates for those 2v1 duels where you don’t have time to reload.
Imagine doing steady hands with harmony on both (e.g.) shotty and primary weapon ouff
I got and Eye/Payload roll that I instantly fell in love with. It's SOOOO much better than my Surplus/Payload Annual Skate, I'm having a lot of fun with it.
Compulsive / Moving Target is my roll, I did not expect it to have a specific mention
Would opening shot, hipfire perk combo be good for stompee hunters ?
Steady hands on snipers is slept on, it's like a mini snapshot too, and swap speeds are pog
Planning on a crisis inverted video any time soon? Definitely feeling that one too!
Criminally underrated channel
Drifter got useful this time giving me a small bore accurized me range eots and rangefinder one.
I feel like that Suros Synergy trait is what makes this gun so good and comparable to palindrome. That reduced flinch is noticeable, and that handling is crazy.
Overall the BEST handcannon to go for if grandmasters are not your thing
I can agree with your takes here but i just can't get over that eye of the storm opening shot. I have around 600 kills on mine already and i love it so far! Great video!
When I see these videos and see you guys play, I feel like I’m playing a different game. I start a match and I’m dead in seconds lol
Didn't even realize I have a chambered comp, accurized, eye of the storm, opening shot w/ range mw in my vault collecting dust
the steady hands + RF was a lucky drop from legendary campaign, came with extended and acc rounds. I like that someone is actually talking about how good steady hands is
I have one with hip fire grip and timed payload, and it’s the first time I’ve had a cannon I don’t really have to ADS. But I haven’t tried in PVP, yet.
got a spicy roll with fluted barrel, accurized rounds, EoS, Moving target with a range masterwork. Crispy as it comes!
