I think they've accepted that they hit the "peak popularity" and don't HAVE to be the next Metallica or whatever. Instead, they can shed any anxieties about the past and just do whatever they want musically now. And I didn't even enjoy the new album that much but I am really happy they went weird instead of repeating themselves or pandering to "what the fans want". If anything it shows that they really did earn their success.

Also, don’t underestimate the volume of correction used in the studio in previous albums. He’s never been as good live as the studio.

Saw them when I was about 12 for the stage tour, 18 now and will be seeing them in October so fucking hyped man. I’ve grown up listening to avenged and they will always be my favorite band ever. A7X forever.
That's cool. I brought my son to the stage tour. He was 8 at the time. He has loved Them since he was a baby. Nightmare would get him dancing at literally 0. I tried all kinds of music in front of him, and Avenged is always what he wanted to hear just naturally. He didn't like classic rock or rap. It would get him in a bad mood. But Metal always made him so happy and especially Avenged. Metal is the most real genre, in my opinion nowadays. Babies can sense it.
My first A7X concert, and for them to be pair with another favorite band in Falling In Reverse, I was in absolute heaven the whole night. Won't ever forget this experience.

I literally choke up and cry every time i hear Jimmy's vocal parts, he was my biggest influence on me wanting to make weirder music and i was obsessssed with a7x during my teen years. I remember finding out he died literally the day after i turned 17 and i have never recovered.
So for all the people who were wondering if his voice was completely shot and that's why the vocals were so strange on nobody.... This answers that question to me his voice actually sounds really good especially on the song the stage

I have to disagree. Respectfully of course. Most shows I’ve seen at big arenas or amphitheaters, the pits are much much more expensive. Also after seeing the prices yesterday it was no different. Up close & personal is something in its own

As a Long time fan I really appreciate when they Perform Unholy Confessions. Its like a completely different band and sound from when Waking the Fallen released but love see it still get some acknowledgment

The show was excellent, the technical difficulties with Shadows mic on the first 2 songs were a pain, I was pretty far up in the seating, and we couldnt hear him at all until song 3
I feel kinda bad for the band on this one, It was cool to walk in and get to see them soundcheck, but it was clear after they announced their flight delays and almost cancelling the show that they did not have enough time to polish things off, seemed Matt was having issues hearing himself and basically all new songs they struggled to pull together. It was a great show even still, but I could see them being frustrated after not playing MSG/NYC in 16 years

Funny, I came here just to watch the ending songs. I liked them over the years but this new album really pulled me in and blew me away. It's what I would like to hear at the end, but I know I'm the odd guy on this topic.
