Did you check the tightness of the bolts on the rear cover? I didn't, on a car a few weeks ago, and the pump came back off. Yes, the boss tore a strip of skin off of me, AND the supplier! Buy a water pump, and the manufacturer DIDN'T assemble it correctly! Those bolts were finger tight! Now, I ALWAYS check. steve
PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION. The plug your talking about having to take out, isn't that the bypass hole? I got a new water pump and was told I had to hook that up to my heater hose which didn't make sense but now that I have I have no heater at all and I was just out over $200 getting my heater fixed and working great. I am desperate please help me with hooking that up THE RIGHT WAY. Thank you.
Not sure if you solved it already but that plug is for your hearter core. Connect a hose from that plug to the Driver side of the heater core. Side closest to driver. That engine coolant circulates through tje heater core. When hitting the heater should open a flap to the heater core an send a signal to your heater motor to turn on and spin cause the now hot air to be pushed inside the cab
Looks like a solid fix!
How to install a water pump.....
...remove from box, paint it, then skip the installation and show the pump installed 👍

Are you looking for an outlet in terms of flow in gpm or similar units? Unfortunately I don't have that information.
