- Whether you want to be, or not, you are subject to God’s words. Grace provides salvation to those who have broken God’s rules, but it does not mean breaking the rules is OK. Failing to rightly divide God’s words will result in your ignorance of, or your ignoring of, them.

Mark 15:46
1Cor 4:16: "Wherefore I beseech you, *be ye FOLLOWERS OF ME."*
1Cor 11:1: *"Be ye FOLLOWERS OF ME,* even as I also am OF CHRIST." (Following one another in history)
Eph 5:1: *"Be ye therefore FOLLOWERS OF GOD,* as dear children;"
Phil 3:17: "Brethren, *be FOLLOWERS together OF ME,* and mark THEM WHICH WALK SO as ye have us for an EXAMPLE."
Heb 6:12: "That ye be not slothful, *BUT FOLLOWERS OF THEM* who through faith and patience inherit the promises."
Likewise 1 Thessalonians 1:6 + 2:14 and 2 Thessalonians 3:7-9 FOLLOWERS each in their time and place in history but after Paul and those WHO walked LIKE him afterwards.
Can't blame them if they actually believe what Jesus said ! But if one doesn't , you have to be skeptical..or not believe it .
Which exact version of the KJV do you like best and why. (Do you use a different one for personal and pulpit use?)
...and the Catholics, ...and the Episcopalians ...and the Methodists, ...and always the Independent Baptists, ...and some grace churches, ...and cannot forget the Jehovah's Witnesses, ...and the Bible Churches...!
Sadly, I can atest to every one of these!
I read these comments with one eye. A pastor recently told me that Dispensationalism is fine as long as there are only 4.
I always take what a pastor says with a skeptic attitude. Just because he’s a pastor doesn’t mean he knows or understands scripture correctly. Do your own due diligence.

Future.

@@ladyjoy6868 - Justin has posted quite a few sermons about how to rightly divide the word. If today you are still trying to live by Mathew, Mark, Luke and John (old testament - Law); you are foregoing the New Testament and the era of Grace. Above, you've cherry-picked many verses, but to what end I can't figure out... Knowing the "Old Testament" is for us, but Grace through Paul is "to" us...
