I think The Cloisters can be classified as an academic book, but not particularly a dark one. As a warning from someone who didn't like this book, it is very slow paced (which is typically something I enjoy and not actually a negative for the book). But probably why it has not been mentioned as dark academia, because a lot of people wants a school setting with dark academia (I personally don't think this is a requirement). This does not have that. I hope you enjoy it, I will like to see your thoughts on it, but I do not expect them to be positive. Hopefully I will be surprised
I'm a part of the way through it now and enjoying it currently! Definitely fits the academia, I agree. I don't mind the slowness at the moment because I'm enjoying indulging in the pretentiousness of it all aha
it's a weird mix of NYX suede lip liner in 'club hopper' and a Ndrom lip tint in 'peeling angdoo' - they don't match at all but I just kinda blended it together until it worked 😂
My favorite October book was Wolf Gone Wild and you’re review of it is what made me want to read it, I’m so happy I did because it’s a new favorite and I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!! 🎆
So many great books on this list ❤ I'm very intrigued by A History of Fear so can't wait to hear your thoughts on it. Also those fairyloot editions are stunning! Hope you enjoy all these books!
Just finished To Bind a Dark Heart by Kathryn Ann Kingsley. Dark fantasy romance (Arthurian inspired). I love anything she writes but her Maze of Shadows series is my favorite.
My goal for the next two months is to finish all the books I’ve started this year. I have 19 current reads (not all of them are books to be read straight through, so some I’m not worried about.) I’m focusing on Cicadas Sing of Summer Graves by Quinn Connor and The Complete Stories by Flannery O’Connor.
I began November with a house with good bones by T. Kingfisher and I loved it so much I read it in one day 😀 I was debating maybe reading arc of a scythe trilogy by Neil Shusterman or maybe dive into the world of Edgar Allan Poe 😝 I'm excited to hear you thoughts on the books in your TBR, you always give such good recommendations 😃
🎆I'm utterly intrigued by The Cloisters but will wait for more (read as Yours) reviews🎇 The Ninth house is on the top of my November TBR. I'm soooo late for the party 😂
Annette Marie also has a YA series called Steel and Stone which I lovedddd! may be more a nostalgic one since I read it quite a few years ago now. I’ll have to give Red Winter a go too ❤️
I see The Ever King on your reading list. It was a favorite. For November i am trying to surpass my October stats ... I am trying to finish series I started. 🎆
Hello! I am currently in the middle of Empire of the Vampire(didn't finish it in October), and I am LOVING it! It may end up being my favorite of the year 😊. November plans include Confessions by Kanae Minato, They Never Learn by Layne Fargo, and The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik. Should be a good month!
I hope you enjoy your picks for December Ashleigh. Can’t wait to hear what you think as always. Started November with Divine Might by Natalie Haynes. I have the Hurricane wars also on my TBR but seem put off - you have given me a kick up the butt to get it done. Happy reading ❤
I started November with a Short stories collection of Edgar Allan Poe Now, I am currently reading Godkiller by Hannah Kaner Next will be House of Salt and Sorrows Then A Study in Drowning by Ava Reid Then The Atlas Paradox by Olivie Blake maybe ?
I began November with The Poetry of Edward Lear. I did not like it. I am currently reading about fourteen books, but I am focused on The Changeling by Victor Larvalle and Penny Dreadful: Sensational Tales of Terror. I am quite liking both. I hope to get to Summer Sons relatively soon. I am very excited for An Education in Malice and I will be reading it when it comes out.
The Fairyloot edition of The Hurricane Wars is SO PRETTY!!! I’ve had Red Winter on my tbr forever!!! 🎆

Lip color pleeeeease!!!! 💋💄

My November tbr
What the river knows
The iron flame
Deal with the elf king
Sterling house
The forest Grimm
Immortal longings
If I have to be haunted
so many of these are on my own general tbr!
I just ordered Volumes 1-5 of Rosen Blood after hearing about them from you, Looking forward to reading them.
The Cloisters drew me in while I was searching for something to get me back into reading. This book did that
I really liked The Cloisters. Hope you do. The ending twists were pretty good I thought. The cover is enough to buy it anyway!! 💚💀
I’m currently reading it and very much enjoying so far!

I read my arc of an education in malice in October and it was an instant 5 stars! Absolutely incredible
I started November with a 4.5 star!! In my dreams I hold a knife by Ashley winstead. Loved it, finished it in two days 🎉
🎇 An Education in Malice looks so good! I desperately need to get to Dowry of Blood :)
So many great books on this list ❤ I'm very intrigued by A History of Fear so can't wait to hear your thoughts on it.

Cloisters looks and sounds so fab but I've definitely heard mixed things so super intrigued to see what you think!

I’ll have to snoop because I really recognise her name but I can’t place why 🤔

Very excited to see what you think of Midnight! but unlike Codie I can handle it if you don't like it 😂
😂😂 there’s a lot riding on this opinion
@@AFrolicThroughFiction yep, you should be scared 🤣
❤📚📚♥️ I liked The Cloisters. I hope you do too. I just heard a good review on Scarlet Princess. Good luck with all your reading!
Thank you! You too!
Im reading Midnight is the Darkest Hour atm because of Codie, its very good (also on KU) 🎆
Glad you’re enjoying it!!
🎆 some great choices; I’m also hoping to read The Hurricane Wars this month 😊
I hope we both love it!
Yesssss midnight! (If you don’t end up loving it don’t tell me pls😂)
If you just never hear about it again, don’t ask
I haven't heard anyone talk about Hurricane Wars so hoping you get to that one to share your thoughts
Fingers crossed it’ll be sooner rather than later!
Just saw this in a store today, looks really good.
