I finished Season 7 just before Christmas, I started re-watching last night!, I am up to the episode called "Teacher's Pet", BTVS is the most exciting and addictive show ever!
Oh God. I remember seeing this exact preview for the series finale and I almost pissed myself in anticipation. Such a sick ending to the show. To truly get the full gyst of the ending (Chosen) you'd have to watch the show from season 1 straight through.

Joss said that all the time, that they took very common monster themes and made Buffy episodes for them, Dracula, Frankenstein, lagoon creature, etc. But the concept of Buffy and a slayer is a very original idea. There was nothing like it before. Vampire hunters were usually guys with automatic, gun-like stakes, not a pre-destined girl with super powers past to her through the generations. Plus Buffy made the best vampires, ya know real demons that burn in the sun.
Actually 2 of the main characters died in the finale: Anya and Spike. Yes Spike came back in Angel, but there was a completely mystical reasoning for it on the spinoff show. Also a number of the potentials that were on throughout the season (and became great characters) died as well.
That'll be tough since DB is a producer and a star on 'Bones' which is a good show. Also, Alysson is on 'How I Met Your Mother' and James Marters is on 'Caprica.' But I would love to see either show returning with the original cast or a movie with the cast about the season 8 comics.
I was so mortified when I notice that mostly the time Sophia, Michelle Waitmam and Melissa Barker was Buffy instead Sarah, yes, Sarah used stunt double to do big part the kicks, jumps and rolls! Besid I think some scene was slop edition, because Sarah was able to do the stunt own by herself!
Yes the show was very much like a video game where you had different worlds with levels which lead to one big boss at the end. The Buffy seasons would have made excellent video games.
In 2012 they r remaking the original buffy movie. Joss said that it will have nothing to do with the tv show and that the actors from the tv show wont be in it. Im so excited even if the actors arent in it. :)

Well because when Buffy died in season 1 Kendra was called and then she died...and Faith was called. Thats why the slayer line runs through Faith it doesnt really matter that Buffy was brought back.
This video was awsome, i never watched the trailers before i just watched the series, but i was bored and decided to watch a few of them. If i wasn't already a huge fan i would definately start watching it after watching these. :)

There's a comic. Well, several. There's the omnibus, which runs somewhat parallel with the series, and season 8, which is completely in comic form. There's 20-odd issues, and 3 volumes out so far.

@CampRockfan40 UPN was the network Buffy moved to for Season 6 and 7. Cuz the WB wanted to end it at season 5.but UPN(thankfully) saved it from ending with "The Gift" at the end of Season 5 It instead ended with "Chosen" at the end of season 7. The 2 networks are merged now though and have created The CW.. :) hope that helps..too bad no network could save ANGEL :(
They are...I'm probably going to get flamed, but oh well. In the comics, its revealed that the bad guy "Twilight" is in fact Angel himself. Thats all thats released as of yet, but yeah Angel is the big bad. But it may turn out that he is in fact the Anti-Hero, possibly the best kind of hero there is because no ones knows his true intentions.
naah, couldnt beat the end of becoming Pt II. First Buffy ep I was shown, and even not knowing the characters stories and everything, i just loved it; then watched all Buffy and still the end wasnt ruined for me, her killing Angel on Close Your Eyes was still painful heartbreaking, beath taking...
wow i never knew that but it's no surprise...i mean that's how Joss is when he makes his projects... intelligent, and memorable. no doubt Buffy would be his best project over the last decade...and as far as Angel goes...his show was ok in the 1st couple of seasons but then Angel himself lost that mystery side to him that we saw in Buffy...he kinda became whiny too...so yea i liked him better in Buffy than his own show.
just imagine if kritsy swanson was Buffy i heard that the people asked, 'I think kristy should come back as buffy it makes more sense' and Joss said, 'Are you out of your mind!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
@MarleyVK For me, SMG will always BE Buffy. I thnk she had a bit in common with Buffy and related. She's no pushover and hasn't had an easy life growing up by any means. I think SMG was really on board with the idea of an empowered female role, and it shone through in her acting.

Captured the atmosphere, the feel, and Joss Whedon were involved. Sarah wouldn't necessarily HAVE to be involved, though as original she would no doubt be best.

whoever's thumbing me down cause of what i said...i don't care could be an Angel fan...i don't give a damn...can't help if it's the truth...Buffy's gotten more recognition that Angel has anyway...look it up...u can't beat the show that gave Angel the character his own show that was good on its on in some ways but could never surpass Buffy
It seems like after 7 seasons, they would of atleast made the series finale 2 hours long instead of 1. I love this episode, but I would of liked to see more of the fight and stuff.
@ElforTheLandstander The Gift was a good ending, but I didn't want her to die selfishly lol. I wanted the happier ending you get in Season 7. More liberating, it feels like there's a weight of Buffy's shoulders at the end. I just think her life sucked so much, she deserved to at least survive it :)
@SMGFAN15 i agree, but that does not make someone not a fan, your not gonna watch the movie, thats more of "not a fan" they are a fan of Buffy not Sarah.
@jarlie101 To me Cangle really wasn't a relationship and I hated Spuffy because Spike became 'less cool'. Bangel had there problems too but i liked them a little bit more than the other two. The only two relationships I LOVED in the whole 8 years of 'Angel'/'BtVS' were Fred/Wesley and Willow/Oz they just felt (in my eyes) 'more right' than any of the other couples.
i love how everyone talks about the angel series in these comments, i actually liked that show better only because of Cangel, i am a huge fan of them, they should of had a happy ending but they had to kill cordelia off just because she got pregnant, and buffy and spike should have gotten a happy ending to, no offense to the bangel fans but even though they say they werent meant for each other they werent, it should have always been buffy and spike and angel and cordelia
@JulesGunn Aw don't be so narrowminded, I am the world's biggest Buffy fan but every idea on Buffy was taken from something that cae before. Every story steals from other stories. Buffy was hugely influenced by The Lost Boys and Near Dark, and owes a debt to The X Files aswell. Not to mention countless timeless stories like Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy etc...

I heard that the original cast would come back if Joss came back to the movie. David and Sarah both said so, but who knows now.

I agree, I would miss Willow. Didn't care for Spike to much but Willow, Dawn, and the Giles :-( who would watch anything without them in it.
