Is there any difference between liquidity damage clause & perormance security clause ?In construction contract can liquidity damage clause can be included just considering the factor of time e.g contractor fails to complete the project in specified period of time as mentioned in contract so client/owner can envoke this clause?

A requirement is that damages are difficult to estimate at time of contract execution or difficult to estimate after breach? I believe the latter.

I believe you can include a "time is of the essence" clause for this particular example.
