Joe Shirimani is known for his magical touch when it comes to Tsonga Disco music. from the Northern Province(Limpopo)
He produced and wrote songs for artists like Penny Penny,Esta M, Hasani, JK Khazamula, Monkwe, Shirimani Sisters, Shaka Bundu Girls, Shadow "La Mafisto", Kepisi and Mny more
Who we selling like hot cakes country wide.
Not only does he produce for other artists but he also makes time to produce and perform
his own music.
His album Hambanini which consisted of songs like Notshi,took South Africa by storm
And sold more than 50 000 copies in 1997
The album Marabastad sold more than 25 000 copies in 1998 and was followed by many
Successfull albums which kept people on their feet for years.
As a busy producer and a song writer,Joe did not always find time to do his own music but also had to help other artists from different parts of South Africa and the African Continent
He also produced Gospel artists like,Mosholi gospel Choir,Moshe Wa Mosholi who sold
More than gold with the album: Trap Die Duiwel,Also Mzet,Presley Mukwevo,Tau Diarora,and Koloni are amongst the top selling artists in Mzansi South Africa.
After a long break Joe Shirimani by popular demand was forced to go back to the studio and produced his Latest album but not just an album:a real come back that will keep many fans and followers of Tsonga disco music dancing and enjoying the good messages contained in the 12 track album.
The album contains tracks like Limpopo which is a continuation of the track called Xibambam which was taken from Norman Mathebula's album,Ncomani is the track that talks more about Tsonga traditional dancing fused with the taste of youthfull dances which are demonstrated beautifully and effectively on the DVD.
This album answers all the questions which were always asked by Joe's fans about his music that they thought he had retired. instead Joe is back with a bang. Watch this space.
The DVD of the album has been completed and will hit the shelves early April 2008 in Mzansi South Africa.

I live in the USA, land of crappy contemporary music. I don't understand why more people in my country can't appreciate the brilliance of music like this. There is fantastic music all over the world waiting to be discovered, yet idiots listen to garbage from Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, and all the other popular morons.
