his music is beautiful, the lyrics bring the most beautiful of his people, and the preservation of his culture, congratulations, for this project, from Mexico, with affection
Nani Girl Nani Girl...I know what you feeling in many ways. During Operation Desert Storm I was stationed out in Germany before we were sent to Kuwait back in ‘89-91. And the only thing that kept me sane was listening to Traditional Hawaiian music from back home. It was a time when JAWAIIAN music was brewing up huge storms back on the islands. I liked a little that was being recorded at the time...Braddah Waltah, Hoaikane(not the hardcore stuff they ended up doing. But the “Kailua Kona” and “Romeo” stuff from their ISLAND IRIE CD was cool)Mana’o Company were among a handful I could listen to for spurts if I was in the mood to get hyped up. But I was definitely more of the Traditional stuff I grew up hearing from my Tutu. -Hui ‘Ohana/Dennis Pavao & Uncle Led(Their solo recordings) -Kahauanu Lake Trio -Makaha Sons of Niihau -Ho’opi’i Brothers -Aunty Genoa Keawe -Gary Haleamau Etc... All brought me a little closer to home. Not sure if you were that into Hawaiian music. But I believe you know what I’m trying to say. Lol. Take care, sister. And Aloha no
Mahalo to you Makana sons for this beautiful dawning song , bra if could just wake up that early and realize what I see and 👂! Maybe living wHawaiians there in keanae maui I should of been more proud with them and my Liki Tiki 🚣🏻 Aloha Harry!
If this "action" was not taken into place the Blood of the life of the land KANAKA MAOLI and this place we call HAWAII NEI AND ITS PEOPLE would only be in history books and archives of a people who no longer exist.......
