Interesting insight into the working style of great Dada Burman. I remember reading an interview in early seventies, wherein Rajendra Kumar had said that Talaash remains one of the biggest ever hits of his life as well as THE biggest hit for his brother in law, OP Ralhan. Also, that Ralhan minted equal amount of money from the films' sales as he did from the sale of it's music. Just like Aradhana and Abhiman the music sale paralleled the entire film release collection. This was the power of S D Burman music. He breathed music and lived for his music only, not caring for money, awards or any such thing. Real genius.
Prem Kumar ji, Yes, it gives a lot of information on Burman Dada. In this part alone Dada decided not to work for the producer who comes with loads of money, O.P. Ralhan, Basu Chatterji, and even Dev Anand. Dada loved his songs and was choosy who to work with.

Nishikant Mane, Thank you so much for encouraging words. I am single-handedly doing all this to leave a legacy for our younger generations to know our cultural heritage. Internet is full of incorrect information, while these people formed the core team of our Golden Period of Hindi films from 1950s till mid 1970s. By that time western music had become part of our film music, which, as per my interview with our classical musician Padma Vibhusahn Ram Narayan was rejected in western countries.
