Without knowing why your system is shut down, it’s a bit challenging to answer the question. But in general with shut down, we want to bring some mobility into the system like movements of joints, and/or yoga, stretching. If I were going to use this containment exercise for shut down, I would use it in a way of giving myself a compassionate, supportive, hug, and feeling what it’s like to be supported in my challenges and how I feel. You also might be very curious about what’s underneath the shut down. It could be some fear or unprocessed emotions. Try to befriend the feeling of shut down and be curious. Hope this is helpful. @@naturalbodhiwellness8960thank you for the reply. yes i have long term stress in the past and because of that my nervous system has gone into the shutdown state. and the problem which created that stress is still not completely resolved. i think thats why i am stuck in this shutdown response. i am trying yoga , breathwork exercise and grounding exercise. anything else you can recommend me ?
