    I am trying to do with Cardova. But, I can't see anything in debug view and no value is going to dashboard or real-time/ stream. I am using a web app. does it work with a web app in Cardova. I have used firebase and firebase analytics packages. both don't work for me. I am also not seeing any errors.

    What is the difference between using this plugin and using the Firebase JavaScript sdk? Or angular@fire, ia it mandatory using capacitor Firebase plugin for ionic apps ?

      Looks like I missed that, yeah it looks like you can do the same with AF now as well: github.com/angular/angularfire/blob/v5/docs/analytics/getting-started.md

    Hi Simon,
    It is working only for the web. But when I created read .apk and installed it on the actual android device it does not fire any event. Also, I tried using the Cordova plugin in the capacitor application. Still, it i's not working.

      @wealth_developer_researcher 3 Π³ΠΎΠ΄Π° Π½Π°Π·Π°Π΄

      Hi Simon, it worked by adding firebaseMessagingVersion = '20.1.6' in android/variables.gradle as you mentioned on your doc. Key point is to clean project on each build to have updates. Also npx cap sync is important.

    I have an issue. I created the app similarly. When I try it on a Browser, all events are logged properly and I can see everything in the DebugView window. I tried to run the app on both a physical Android device and both in an Emulator. I ran the required command to enable debugging, but on the Debug View non of my custom events and properties show up, only the default, inbuilt ones, like first_open_time, user_engagement.
    Does anyone have any similar issues or a potential solution?

      @@KagisoRKA Hey, thanks for the tip! I tried the plugin suggested on the ionic website first: ionicframework.com/docs/native/firebase-analytics.
      It seems to be working and was much easier to install than the one in the video. (Except emulators doesn't seem to be showing up in debug view).
      Edit: After that, I tried AngularFire and I prefer that, so I will stick to AngularFire as well!
      Too bad that for some reason the content in the video was not working properly though.
