Lol: this video is _everything_ - we watched her fall in love... It's so affirming to pick up on her excitement and how much she's feeling these... she went completely into her own zone! Awesome and infectious: NN are surely going to see a giant spike in sales - and this is a skate journey motivation video, regardless of the frames!
...and there I was trying to be professional hahaha. It was a fun first try and I'm looking forward to more skating and working on wizard style flows. I did a short street skate today to run some errands in town and I had to change the alignment twice until I finally got it right on both skates. Now they feel in the right place and I can focus on just getting used to them. I'm glad this is inspiring. hope to show some street skating vids soon.
I also switched from 3X110 to these exact NN frames and experienced the same exact epiphany. it's like triskating was prepping me for rockered wizards, and when I put them on I was right at home and everything opened up
...years of disciplined non-rockered skating will always benefit you (skills-wise) if you switch to a rockered set-up. Think stick shift to automatic. Super stuff, Asha.
It's extremely nice to finally see you on wizard style frames 🤩 I got my first pair only recently (Rockin' 576) and I love their manoeuvrability, especially compared to their frame length. This kind of rocker combines stability and manoeuvrability really well.
Yes I'm looking forward to keeping them on for a bit and also trying the Endless next. But the winter weather has hit us hard this week and I've barely skated! Its a harsh reality to face another European winter and needing to skate! Fingers crossed.
@@SkatefreshVideos Living on Lake Constance, I feel absolutely with you 🙏🏻 I'm still enjoying our last sunny days until fog, rain and snow are going to take over our region until about March 😥 ice skating, cross skating and skiing will have to do until then!
Wonderful video! Not only is it a lot of fun to see you very clearly enjoying a big wheel "natural" rocker setup, this is probably the only video I've seen of someone with so much technical knowledge of all these moves trying out a frame like this (presumably for the first time?) to execute them. I hope you'll have the chance to try one of the 4x100 rockered setups as well, they're a great choice for both artistic and street skating.
Yes I’m curious to also go bigger but I won’t be swapping every week. I like to have time to get a new set up int my system and muscle memory otherwise it’s just risky mess ups which I ca t afford with my damaged hip. Slowly wins the race😄
You are in lucky. I have the 4x90 Endless waiting for me but I want to give the NN's a few more weeks especially as the weather has just got bad so I can't skate as much as I usually do. It's not great timing. But I'll get there. I don't have the wizard frame but am also curious. It's the original!
@@SkatefreshVideos I have the endless 90 also, looking forward to seeing that at some stage. The NN frames also look great, and you're clearly enjoying them, have fun! Awesome fluid skating.
@@SkatefreshVideos Oh I really look forward to the endless review when you get to try them out, that is the frame I particularly have in mind (3x110 and 4x90 slight rocker sounds super fun). Thank you
I haven’t been to the marina in a long time. Nice to see it’s still there. Last time was to charge my EV at the Asda back when I still had a car. Petrol cars would always block the chargers because it’s at the front of the store. Presumably it’s still the same way.
Be interesting to see if you can do a two footed spin on those frames, have the Endless frames and been trying this for weeks but can't nail the opposite toe heel thing as the base is too long. I will nail it though, I'm determined ;) Love the Endless frames though for sure.
As a complete amateur skater - I experienced similar joy and excitement when trying Endless 90 frames for the first time. I fell a few times, but I was suddenly able to do moves I never thought I could do. Rocker is great fun.
As you mention in the video, you really only feel the rocker on edges and turns. When you are on the center edge at speed or going downhill it is actually very stable. Such an incredible design. We skaters owe Leon a lot :)
Finally !!! i was waiting for this video from you since these frames started spreading everywhere last year (including on my own skates ^^ ninja90, same as yours), i can't wait to see other videos, and i'll be willing to buy your version of wizard skating online course if you were to make it a project some day. cheers Asha and thank you for your content. Nice move NN !
I am planning some wizard skate tutorials yes. I like how these moves originate from artistic skating and being relaunched for urban inline freestyle. So good! This is what I spent my teenage years doing....
@@SkatefreshVideos Awesome ! Great news, can't wait for it. I totally agree for the artistic origin, the 3-turn being the most obvious one, maybe some others tricks like "stunami" and others are from aggressive, with in the end a nice blending for the older skaters like me who wan't to have fun AND staying alive at the same time ^^
I just bought 4*100 NN Ronin, love them for same reasons you've mentioned. I found them to be a bit tricky at high speed of over 20mph. To keep stability, it is necessary to lean into front wheels so the three front wheels are in contact with the ground, sitting back results in only two back wheels having ground contact, which is less stable.
I experienced exactly that just new when I went fir a quick street skate to run some errands. First time skating faster abd when weight rocked to the back it felt a bit weird and not as stable as I like. But it’s a question of adjusting my skating. More knee bend and the front rocker felt really good a d stable. Nice to hear that mirrored by you thanks.
So, freestyle skating is now called wizard skating because as far as I can tell your nice moves look exactly as they did in the 90s when you used to get loads of skaters down at Hove gardens. 😁 PS rockered setups are unstable at speed that's the trade-off. Nice video.
Such a great video. It’s impossible not to want to go try them :) Were these V or V.m? It would be nice if you could do a comparison of endless 90, NN 90 V and NN 90 V.m in terms of trade offs in maneuverability/stability.
I'm embarrassed to say I don't know! I'll ask. I'll be trying the Endless 90 next so hopefully I can share something there on what I feel. But I need enough time to really feel the NNs first before switching.
Yes well spotted. I've had 2 more little training sessions on the frames and wizard moves and I really started using my upper body more and it made al the difference. Have some footage to edit from that to share with you..... editor is working.
Really? I feel like I’m doing similar moves I usually do a bit on the move. Slowing down the spread mixing up more transitions a d suddenly I’m a wizard skater. Cook! I’ll keep working on this aspect. It’s fun!
Many people have asked that! I've got these frames on now for another month so whatever videos I film will be in these and several are scheduled. But I also assume you are talking about wizard move tutorials? I'd like to do a series but I find it problematic to teach more advanced skills in summary on RUclips (for safety reasons). In my online courses I always provide lists of pre-requisite skills that are essential before being able to start learning whatever advanced move. So many people do themselves no favours by attempting hard moves before they have certain key elements separately. This would make a RUclips video too long and detailed (but in my opinion is the only way to truly learn a complex move). So to skip large bits and give a few 'tips' (which is all that my usual RUclips videos do) is inherently problematic (for me). My sense of responsibility os very high. Does that make sense. But I am planning some carefully.
long overdue, great video, i suspect increased pivot power may also give you an advantage traversing through a crowded cityscape, (and look good doing it)
Hi. This is Sergio from Team Skatefresh. These are actually very complex moves and can't be taught in short tutorials "RUclips style" that's why Asha created an online course for advanced skaters that you can find here skatefresh.com/product/how-to-skate-advanced-level-full-course/ Not all the moves performed in this video are there but it's a good way to start if you are already an intermediate skater. If you are still in a beginner stage I suggest that you keep working on other skills that you will find in the course for intermediate skaters skatefresh.com/product/how-to-skate-intermediate-level-full-course/
Hi. This is Sergio from Team Skatefresh. These frames are sold separately. You can go to your skate shop and if they have these frames available then you can ask them to mount a skate specifically for you, therefore you will be able to choose boot, wheels, laces, frame, etc.
Hi. This is Sergio from Skatefresh Team. In that case your weaker leg is the right, meaning you're probably a lefty at least while skating. However, it all depends on the context. That really is THE question I get asked the most. And it depends on many factors about your skating. How much street skating? In what kinds of smooth/roughness? How much agility needed? Slalom agility or average agility for crossovers and transitions? The best choice is skate is all about what kind of skating you’ll be doing and sounds like you need an all rounder. hahahhaha shes at an asda thats awesome !!! i always feel insecure when im out on a parking lot and everyones watching but this makes me feel so much okay-er hahah
Do it! Car parks are often the last resort but the quiet corner furthest from the supermarket entrance is often good enough to get some practice in. It also helps train you to keep your eyes open around you too! Just isn’t great on video. Cars are not good backgrounds!
@@SkatefreshVideos do you find it ok to skate in indoor car parks too? There's a Tesco with a big indoor car parking close to where I live, but I'm afraid I'll get kicked out if I skate in there... :/
Hi. This is Sergio from Team Skatefresh. You can try, in the worst case you will be asked to leave and that's it. Unfortunately most of the times skaters are considered reckless, the general idea is that you are gonna fall, that you can't stop, etc. therefore they want to prevent an accident. If you stay in a corner away from vehicles it may be ok because at least they know you won't hit a car.

Also - love your leggings! I have massive leggings-envy whenever I watch your videos xD where do you get them from?
Yes it's been eye opening to wear a different frame. I've rarely used much different equipment. Looking forward to having more time to play on them. Many of my leggings are from @k.deer, they do the best stripes and bright prints. Super long lasting also.
Nice
Your using powerslide?
Hi. This is Sergio from Team Skatefresh. Yes, Asha's skates are Powerslide.

I want wizard skates order
hahahhaha shes at an asda thats awesome !!! i always feel insecure when im out on a parking lot and everyones watching but this makes me feel so much okay-er hahah
