Any time I sit down to stitch is comfort stitching to me. Something happens every time I pick up my needle and floss. Especially in the evenings. It's just such a lovely way to end the day. Trim ♥️♥️♥️
What a wonderful video. It was filled with so much great information. As a fairly new stitcher, I like the way you encourage people to change colors or just stitch parts of patterns. Your talks about colors is particularly helpful. Also the way you finish your pilllows fits into my esthetic, your trim complements the piece without overpowering it. My comfort stitching is anything I'm currently doing. I pick up whatever piece I'm working on, listen to a good book and I'm good to go.
What really brings me comfort is stitching for others. I find a pattern that I know is perfect for someone and get so excited stitching while thinking of them. Most of my stitching is for others! Bonnie
Comfort stitching...all of it. To relax, the less color changes, the better, but I love all of it. The trim kit would be a wonderful addition to my finishing stash. 😊
Comfort stitching is when I stitch something just for me, what I think is so beautiful I have to stitch it. Its so relaxing that when I'm tired I starts fall asleep! You are so generous. The trim is beautiful!
I am loving your talks about color. Your explanation of warm, cool, clear is the first that has made sense to me. I am REALLY looking forward to your future talks about color. Color is something I have always struggled with and you have a way of explaining that actually makes sense to me. So very grateful 🥰 !
Comfort stitching to me is any project that REALLY calls me. If I like the design, I find comfort in stitching it. Trim is always nice to add at the end of a finished project. LOVE your videos. I always look forward to watching them and always learning something new. Chris
Thank you so much for another thought provoking and inspiring video! Simply put, all stitching is comfort stitching for me. Whoever receives all that gorgeous trim will be one very happy stitcher indeed!
I love the idea of helping us learn the cool/warm of the floss colors. The pulling in and out, up and down of the floss brings me the most comfort. The trim is beautiful!
All stitching brings me comfort, but I especially love stitching with one thread of silk. Your videos are calm and comforting to me. I always enjoy my time spent with you. Fall is quietly creeping into winter. Soon it will time to decorate and trim the tree and prepare for the Christmas season and Jesus’ birthday. That also brings me comfort
Comfort stitching for me is almost everything I stitch. Stitching is really my happy place. I would say that the only thing that is not comfort stitching are patterns that are super busy and therefore require great concentration! Love the trim! They will be great for gift finishing!
I talk with my hands all the time! I used trim for the first time last week and loved how my finished project looked. Stitching words is comfort stitching for me. Stay blessed, and thank you for the color tutorials!
Stitching has a very calming effect on me. I can feel the stress draining away just pulling the first stitch through. It may be the repetitveness and working with my hands that shuts my brain down. But I do enjoy stitching while watching flosstubes as it reminds me of my mom and aunts talking as they stitched together.
Any stitching is my comfort stitching but probably sampler projects. Having the trim when you want to finish something is so helpful. I can’t believe how much you get done, it makes me somewhat envious.😘 You have certainly enabled me this time, I want to order almost everything you showed.
All my stitching time brings me comfort, if the stitching is easy its a joy, if the stitching is challenging then the reward is different but equally gratifying. Your trim colours are lovely!
I just love how you have finished your pillows, using coordinating trim. It's such a neat and tidy finish. It's also good to be reminded that we can change fabric color and count, floss colors, etc to make patterns our own. You have a lot of beautiful wips for your quarterly stitching. Love seeing what's new in your shop. So much to stitch, so little time. Comfort stitching to me is that moment I zip open my bag, pull out a project, sigh, and go "Ah, time to stitch." Thank you for such a great video. Happy stitching. ❤
Omg your generosity is beyond measure. I share all my cross stitch supplies with my two stitchy daughters and a abundance of trim would be absolutely amazing. Thank you
Sheri thanks for another inspirational video. I always learn so much. You do so much for the community. Talk about comfort stitching. Watching your videos and hearing your soothing voice makes me calm and comfortable. Plus I love all your projects and seeing your progress. The trim would be so nice. 🌷❤️💕🌺
What a wonderful way to finish off projects or pillows but with those beautiful colours of trim - so many colours to pick from. Thank you for showing us all your projects that you have finished and all the ones you wish to start.
I find comfort in stitching but it depends on my mood which of my patterns I feel it with. When all else fails I usually will turn to something with a lower count and perhaps a simpler design. I think your "3 things" is my favorite part of your videos. There's always something interesting! And I always leave feeling enabled and wanting to add something to my wishlist and/or cart! You trim, I trim, we all want the pillow trim!
I anticipate each of your upcoming videos, so packed with hints, ideas, and food for thought. I am a monogomas stitcher and the act of stitching brings me comfort and joy. I love finding just the right trim to make my piece complete.
My comfort stitching is usually with bright colors and a whimsical pattern! But it’s the colors that get me every time!!! I LOVE the chenille TRIM on everything!! ❤
Comfort stitching to me, is anytime I can just sit down and stitch, without having to think about anything else...like household chores, cooking, cleaning etc. That usually means in the evening!
Comfort stitching for me is stitching on a project I have started in memory of a loved one. Thank you Sheri for another wonderful informative flosstube. I hope you had a lovely thanksgiving. 👋👋👋🇳🇿🇳🇿🇳🇿❤️XS
I enjoyed learning more about color....it's a fascinating topic!! Cross stitching always brings me comfort and a sense of purpose, especially when I'm not having to think too much and I'm just filling in an area with one color. I would absolutely be delighted with all of that trim!!
I am a 1980's self taught stitcher. I put it away for many years. I have recently gotten back into it. I am stitching my 14th Shepherds Bush Christmas stocking. All for my kids, spouses and grandkids. I have really enjoyed stitching them. I recently found your channel and have binge watched all the episodes. . I love watching your channel. Thank you for all the very useful information. Trim.
Wow - thank you so much for watching so many episodes! I'm glad you've come back to stitching (like so many of us have!). I love that you're on stocking #14 - those stockings are amazing!
REAL comfort stitching for me is usually a new start, even a few stitches. MID comfort is usually something related to the next season (so right now, getting ready for spring since it snowed here today). MINI comfort - anything with bright colours. Can't wait for your next vid. Trim.
I'm looking forward to your future flosstube on color analysis! What you've shared has already been so informative. I'm a semi-monogamous stitcher with a sampler always going. Switching to smaller projects becomes comfort stitching for me. All stitching is comfort stitching basically!😂 Yay for your husband's strong suggestion of gifting trim!
Love how you trim your pillows. Comfort stitch for me is just stitching. I’m a new stitcher and I started stitching to escape my stress/ anxiety. First time watching you. Very much enjoyed your content🪡🧵
Hi. Im new at cross stitch. Comfort "stitching" for. Me is sitting in my comfort chair surrounded by all my stitchy stuff stitching on a small piece on 14ct. (Lol). And watching floss tube. Floss tube is a whole new world for me. I live in Massachusetts. We dont have any brick and mortar shops except for one about 1 hour from me.
What a wonderful informative video. It is good to have the tools to assist us in choosing colors. This leads to knowing ourselves better. Comfort stitching is being able to choose any stitch and feeling the joy while stitching it. Trim so enhances our pillows. It is like our signatures as the finishing touch.
Comfort stitching varies depending on my mood!!! Sometimes its working toward a finish, other times it's just switching out what im working on. I definitely need to add some trim options to my finishing supplies!!
I always enjoy your videos & look forward to them. You must have some “southern” in you because all of us southerners talk with our hands! 😊 My idea of comfort stitching is anytime I can stitch but I enjoy it most when a group of us meet to stitch together, once or twice a month.
Comfort stitching, can mean many things on any given day, depending on the situation. Today, for instance, I have finished stretching a Sampler, and now I am sitting with the fire place going, and watching flosstube, and I’m stitching in hand, which hardly happens. This is comfort stitching. Tonight, with my stand, I’ll work on a sampler, which is comfort stitching while watching tv with my favourite guy. Trim is always something I seem to never have enough of, and I’m always looking for the right colour trim for finishing
Love all that trim! My comfort stitching is usually something with a single colour (or filling in a single colour on something) because I don’t have to think. Sometimes I find comfort in something where I DO have to think - a really complex stitch - that’s when comfort is blocking out the rest of the world and gaining a clear head through focussed concentration!
Dearest CCS…..my name is Sherry also…..I always know your newsletter and videos are going to be so well done……today was no exception……I really appreciate your ability to allow us to to follow are serendipity on projects……..trim is my hope……I love stitching bright colors as well as monochromatic…..I intersperse my stitching with knitting beautiful skeins of yarn into “vanilla “ socks for my husband…..such is life as Happy 72 Year Old Happy Ager……
I love your channel, and I think you are a person that is a giver in relationships. Your channel gives to me all the time with all of your color ideas, and I love your color play as of late. Color theory is so much fun. You always make me think when I’m changing my stitching. I just recently bought a full kit with the Brenda gerve school house from you. It’s a wonderful kit, and I hope more people buy too. Is it rude to ask a lady if she had too much trim in her stash? Lol Comfort stitching for me varies on my mood. I kind of like it all, and choose accordingly.
Comfort stitching for me is a big ol’ house. I’m working on Mary Hill 1854 now and stitching on the house during our snowstorm today. So fun! I love a good trim. Thanks to you I’ve started gluing trim on sometimes and that’s been a real time saver.😊
I am always glad when a video from you shows up! Sometimes I struggle deciding which trim to use that will be easy to do! Thanks for taking the time to share your stitching with us!
Your newsletter is my number 1 favourite, each time when I saw it, I’ll save up, grab my coffee seat comfortably slowly enjoy every bits of each word just like watching your flosstube, I’ll stop my stitching, fully focus listen, rewind and pause, enjoying every single thing that you shared. You shared such interesting knowledge, specially the colour theory, and we both love many similar things❤ I’m so wish one day I get to travel and visit your shop, and meet you in person🌹 I wish I could have the beautiful trims ❤ Hugs from Singapore 🇸🇬
Thank you - that means a lot to me that you enjoy the newsletter! And I do hope you get to travel and visit the shop one day - it would be wonderful to meet you!
I want to first thank you so much for your generous sharing on all things cross stitch and adding your personal feelings that are so helpful. You are truly appreciated. I'd also like to add how beautiful and trim you are! Sending hugs!
I think you are one of the most informative and educational flosstuber there is! YOU are my comfort stitching--your voice is so lovely to listen to! Seriously, my comfort stitching is when I'm working on something and I'm sad to see it finished--just like your videos! I'm looking forward to your "color" videos coming in February. If I had all that trim I would share it with my stitchy friends and have a finishing day!
I look forward to your video every month. I was an 80’s cross stitcher and thanks to a friend and FlossTube have rejoined the cross stitching community, or as I have been saying to my friend.....diving down the rabbit hole! My comfort stitching is whatever I am working on at the moment combined with watching FlossTube. I’ve learned so much and am enjoying every stitching moment. Trim is hard to come by locally, so thank you for the opportunity to add to my stash.
Comfort stitching to me is anytime I stitch. It depends on the day and what is going on! Sometimes it’s a small uncomplicated piece and sometimes it’s a large chart that makes me think and concentrate. My stitching keeps me calm and sane! Have a Happy Thanksgiving and trim is the magic word!
Thank you for always including interesting content. Comfort stitching to me is a quiet house along with listening to floss tube and stitching a project that is in season. It’s almost time to trim the tree 🌲
As per usual, a very good video. So many WIPs to choose from for your planned quarter. To answer your question: comfort stitching to me is any that is not on a schedule. I like diversity in patterns, threads but not fabric counts - anymore, higher counts are too hard for 83 yr old eyes and brain. Not fun to struggle, so why would I? The diversity of fabric colors and counts is pleasing. I tend to be more monogamous a stitcher. I marvel at how some stitchers have so many schedules mapped out. I just want to pick up a project, work on it until I don’t want to for a bit. I do not want the pressure of several WIPs waiting and calling out to be attended to. I like having patterns kitted up and ready. Comfort is just enjoying a stitch and letting it take me “into it”.
I’m enjoying you color tutorials! They’re empowering. I’m a long time quilter and when I started out I didn’t know much color theory I took technique classes and learned some color theory and got braver. After a time one of the teachers that worked in my favorite quilt shop was cutting fabric for me she told me she was so happy to see how far I’d come with my use of color because I moved out of my comfort zone and started adding some sparklers! I decided I needed to learn more and took a color theory class. About 5 years ago I was deciding colors for some home renovations and started spending some time in paint stores. I’d work a 12 hr night shift and if I was ‘wound up’ after a busy night I’d stop and look at the wall of color samples. I found that they offered booklets about choosing colors and used the color wheel to put together dyadic and Triadic color schemes and more. They had a lot of good information and were a good intro to color theory. Included information on intensity and clarity and they were free. Kelly Moore had my favorite one. Just a thought on places you might unexpectedly find helpful information. I tend to use called for colors and be drawn to designs with colors that attract me. I’m just starting to as Jeannine McGowan of The Blue Flower says, get drunk with power and change or substitute colors. Comfort stitching to me is happy colors and designs that don’t have a lot of color changes. Usually smalls so I get the satisfaction of accomplishment. I haven’t used chenille trims much but there are so many beautiful color choices! Thanks again Sheri!
Your newsletter is my favorite of all the ones I subscribe to. I loved your photo of the tree in your yard. Thank you for what you do and the basket of trims
Great video! You always give such good advice on ways to look at patterns - stitching portions, changing colors! A project isn't fully finished until you add the trim! I just find comfort in stitching, but enjoy beautiful thread colors, or patterns, or learning new stitches, etc.
Comfort stitching for me is anything a little complicated but not too small for me to see. It captivates my mind so I don't fret over life things. The Chenille Trim set would be amazing! I love it on pillows.
Lovely stitching…your needles have been very busy🤩…had my colours done many years ago fantastic what a difference it makes…Thanks for sharing all this information! When I can stitch..comfort for me is one color with a smooth rhythm not a lot of confetti stitches. The book sounds very interesting something every one could use….Take good care, look forward to seeing what you have next time🤗🧡
I am more of a seasonal stitcer so stitching in season would probably be my comfort stitch. My favorite designers are also a comfort to me as well warm colors. I listen to Christmas music when I trim the Christmas tree so setting the right atmoshere is why seasonal stitching is so comforting to me. I feel connected to what is present around me, if that makes sense.
14 count is so easy to stitch on and Stitching with the Housewives are my go to patterns! But with the comfort stitching is listening to calm voices of the floss tubers I love!!! Thank you for another learning video... so inspired!!! trim
Stitching a small is comfort stitching to me. I like the feeling of accomplishment when it’s finished. I’m looking forward to the flosstubes regarding color. Trim.
Can’t wait to learn more color theory! Always enjoy your videos and seeing your lovely stitching. It’s very generous of you to give away all those “trims”. Thank You!
Comfort stitching for me is a simple pattern or just one color. It is also something I'm doing for myself, so I stress less about making it perfect. Love all the trim colors 😍
Your stitching projects and your stitching is beautiful and when you showed the back instead of the front on the sampler I thought well that doesn't look like my backs 😂! Love the trim that you showed...so pretty on your little pillows. My comfort stitching is something thats quaint and cozy...like a sampler or a village of houses. Love your flosstube it's both educational and fun!
Everything I stitch is comfort stitching to me, if it wasn't I wouldn't be stitching it. LOL!! I don't have rules, assignments or plans, I just go with whatever I feel like at the moment. I love to add trim to my pillows and ornaments. Thank you for the video and inspiration!
My comfort stitching is always about silence. When I stay up late or get up early, and the house is asleep, I love to stitch in complete silence. If it’s quiet enough to hear the needle pulling thread, even better! I need to trim all the background noise off and find quiet peace.
I loved seeing all your finishes and all the little pillows. The trim will look gorgeous on those. Comfort stitching is when I am stitching with my favorite colors.
Your videos are always so inspiring and knowledgeable. In the 80’s I worked retail and took a class offered to employees with “Colour Me Beautiful” consultants. I am cool. Chenille is so pretty for finishing trim.
WOW my eyes got big when I saw all that trim fall out of the container. I had my colors done in the 80’s. I found out that I’m a winter. I still have my color card that I carry in my purse when I go shopping. My comfort stitching at times are simple smalls and at times my HEAD. It just depends on my mood.
We are getting so close to trim the turkey, trim the trees, and trim our cross stitch finishes! Relaxing stitching to me is when I don't have to change colors so many times. Thanks for the wonderful video!!!
I have quite a few starts, but with my last birthday, I realized I needed to get more finished, I honestly don’t have enough time to do everything my heart desires, so I’ve been doing a bit of monogamous stitching lately🥴❤️. I so appreciate all the time you take to add educational content to your videos, I know you are a busy woman! ALL THE TRIM ❤️❤️❤️ I don’t usually enter giveaways but can’t resist this generous one, TY
I'm going to have to watch this again it's so full of goodness! My grandfather was Italian and absolutely could not talk without his hands. You must have some Italian blood. I have used your trim and love it. What I would give for the whole line. Comfort stitching is fill in for me.
My comfort stitching is any time I pick up a needle and thread and work on my current project . I love to use trim to finish my pillows, ornaments, drums, it just puts the finishing touches on everything. Thank you.
I am like you in that one color stitching is so relaxing. I have returned to Cross Stitching after many years of not stitching! I mostly make quilts....but that's during the day. I pick up my Cross Stitch in the evening until bedtime.
I love the stitch, and that is my comfort. I don’t find larger stitches, to be more comforting. I think that repetitive or larger blocks of color are more relaxing for me. Doing things like confetti stitching, requires a lot more concentration and that’s not what I’m looking to do after a long day.😂
Any time I sit down to stitch is comfort stitching to me. Something happens every time I pick up my needle and floss. Especially in the evenings. It's just such a lovely way to end the day. Trim ♥️♥️♥️
Holy moley.... Trim ... !!!!! How generous!! Trimming trim trim trim!
It's fun to trim the tree
What a wonderful video. It was filled with so much great information. As a fairly new stitcher, I like the way you encourage people to change colors or just stitch parts of patterns. Your talks about colors is particularly helpful. Also the way you finish your pilllows fits into my esthetic, your trim complements the piece without overpowering it. Thank you for watching!
All stitching is a comfort to me. How generous to provide trim to one lucky person.
Comfort stitching is when I stitch something just for me, what I think is so beautiful I have to stitch it. Its so relaxing that when I'm tired I starts fall
asleep! You are so generous. The trim is beautiful!
For me, comfort stitching is anything Christmas, anytime of year. I LOVE it.
I am loving your talks about color. Your explanation of warm, cool, clear is the first that has made sense to me. I am REALLY looking forward to your future talks about color. Color is something I have always struggled with and you have a way of explaining that actually makes sense to me. So very grateful 🥰 !
I just want you to know that watching your FlossTube is comfort watching for me. All that trim would surely inspire me to finish more of my FOs!
Comfort stitching to me is any project that REALLY calls me. If I like the design, I find comfort in stitching it. Trim is always nice to add at the end of a finished project. LOVE your videos. I always look forward to watching them and always learning something new. Chris
Thank you Chris!
Oh, a treasure of trims! I trim more than I frame pieces. What a lovely treat!
To me any stitching is comfort stitching. All of it relaxes me! All of that trim is lovely
Comfort stitching for me is almost everything I stitch. Stitching is really my happy place. I would say that the only thing that is not comfort stitching are patterns that are super busy and therefore require great concentration! Love the trim! They will be great for gift finishing!

Definitely, one color stitching is my comfort stitching. 😊

Trim Trim Trim. I finally started my Quaker Christmas II. I’m loving it.
I love the trim! The idea of pillow projects in between bigger projects really appeals to me. I learn SO much from your videos. Thank you!
All stitching is comfort stitching to me. Thanks for you informative videos! Trim
All my stitching time brings me comfort, if the stitching is easy its a joy, if the stitching is challenging then the reward is different but equally gratifying. Your trim colours are lovely!
My comfort stitching is something that is repetitive and doesn’t need much thought. What a wonderful give away the trim looks fabulous.
Wow! How awesome; thank your husband for all of us; I would love all that trim! Congrats to whoever gets it!
I love using channile trim for pillow finishing. Thank you so much for the opportunity. Happy stitching. Best, K

Comfort stitching is stitching what I want at a pace that I want. The trim you use on your finishes are all so pretty.
Sheri thanks for another inspirational video. I always learn so much. You do so much for the community. Talk about comfort stitching. My comfort stitching is a complicated design. It takes all my concentration so that I forget all the worries and chores! Your trim is beautiful!

You shared such interesting knowledge, specially the colour theory, and we both love many similar things❤
I’m so wish one day I get to travel and visit your shop, and meet you in person🌹
I wish I could have the beautiful trims ❤
Hugs from Singapore 🇸🇬
Thank you - that means a lot to me that you enjoy the newsletter! And I do hope you get to travel and visit the shop one day - it would be wonderful to meet you!

Comfort stitching for me is a big red house! Lots of blocks of one color and predictable patterns. Love the trim you showed.
I want to first thank you so much for your generous sharing on all things cross stitch and adding your personal feelings that are so helpful. You are truly appreciated. I'd also like to add how beautiful and trim you are! Sending hugs!
❤❤
Trim always makes the pillow extra special. I enjoy seeing all your creative ideas!
I love to stitch; it is relaxing and calming. I would rather stitch and read over TV.😊
Your videos are educational and inspiring. your trim on projects is beautiful. Having time to stitch is truly comforting to me.
Thank you Carol - that is so kind of you to say. I'm glad we can be virtual friends!
So glad to have you back in the stitching community, and I hope it brings many years of joy to you!
I had my colors done as a wedding shower gift in the 80’s. I am spring. It was amazing. Wasn’t sure it they were still around.
Great advice on using references at paint stores - thank you for sharing!
Your newsletter is my favorite of all the ones I subscribe to. I loved your photo of the tree in your yard. Thank you for what you do and the basket of trims
Thank you - what a nice thing to say!
Comfort stitching for me is a single colour on a bigger count, easier to see. Loving all of your trim ideas. 😊
Great video! You always give such good advice on ways to look at patterns - stitching portions, changing colors! A project isn't fully finished until you add the trim! I just find comfort in stitching, but enjoy beautiful thread colors, or patterns, or learning new stitches, etc.
Lately I have been using a lot of trim to decorate some 3.5" roundabout ornaments. They make such cute additions to the house each season
Cook the turkey and trim the tree, my two favorite holidays are wonderful to me !!!
Love your floss tube!! 🎄🦃
Thank You!
Your videos are always so informative and inspiring. Love your stitching. Trim
Thank you for watching!
What a glorious collection of trim! Comfort stitching for me is any stitching! Love your videos; so much interesting information! Thank you!
I'm going to have to watch this again it's so full of goodness!
My grandfather was Italian and absolutely could not talk without his hands. You must have some Italian blood. I have used your trim and love it. What I would give for the whole line. Comfort stitching is fill in for me.
Well, I love Italy, so I like the thought that I might have some Italian blood!
My comfort stitching is any time I pick up a needle and thread and work on my current project . I love to use trim to finish my pillows, ornaments, drums, it just puts the finishing touches on everything. Thank you.
That collection of trim would be just the thing to push me into finishing! Enjoy your flosstube so much. You’re very inspiring!
Thank you - that's so sweet!
