If this isn't a day 1 buy I don't know what is. Looks like a fantastic build and display piece. Can't wait!!
I’ll be queuing up for it when the doors open :)
Damn I just spend 2.000 on May the 4 and thought I will not spending any more money until the Harry Potter Event....
@tobiasm1304 lol I often tell myself stuff like that
Harry Potter Event... Great. More money 💰 lol
I'm glad I'm not a big Lego Star Wars fan. My wallet would be in the ICU after May the 4th and now this
Yep. This is gonna be a day one buy!
Totally. I'll be hovering over the add to cart button at midnight haha
Wish it was a bit taller, and complete around all sides with a hinge to open, and Sauron was taller then the other minifigs, but still gonna cop i reckon.
(Edit) I find it hilarious people are complaining about Barad-Dûr being a "massive black tower" my brother have you seen the LOTR? That's exactly what it is 😂
After seeing this… I’d be willing to pay $1500+ for an as close to minifig scale as possible for minis tirith.
Minas Tirith is a must imo
Day one purchase the minute it goes live. Bought Rivendell a couple months ago and this will be the perfect set to go with it. Hope in 2025 they roll out a huge set of Minas Tirith, Edoras, or Helm’s Deep.
All those sets could be great, fingers crossed they keep going with doing one a year
There are leaks for a UCS Minas Tirith and Helm’s Deep, alongside lots of small sets early next year too so keep an eye out!
Reviewing sets could give you tax exemption
Well you just became a new favourite.
I’m not sold unfortunately, but this is more to do with my taste in what I want to display, the black is a bit too overbearing, very opposite to Rivendell (I know that’s the point) perhaps if the set was thinner and shorter it wouldn’t be such an issue, it’s very cool nonetheless.
Fair enough, not for everybody, but yeah cool build
Nah needs to be taller, its supposed to be overbearing and imposing, like you said that's the point lmao
@@EightBucksTwenty yeah just not for me, perhaps I’m looking for another LOTR set with paler color schemes. Ive never really wanted a big imposing black tower in my living room. But it saves me £400 so no big loss I guess
I love it just not sure I can afford it 😢
Hopefully this is out for at least a full year so I can actually get it, disappointed by how few minifigures would've loved witchking and a Olog-hai. Tower looks great though.
Wouldn't be surprised if those figures are saved for a minas tirith or black gate set in the future.
@JonoBogano I'd be fine with that Minas Tirith has the potential to be the biggest Lego set ever.
Nice design, but not over the top. GWP is just not exciting.
Lego price has went up by a lot, but most sets design are at best mediocre if you take price into consideration.
Hello friend, I have a question, how do you get the nazgul set?
I believe it's a gwp june 1st to 7th
Yea it'll be available when the set first comes out, June first. It'll be there for a couple of days, if it doesn't sell out day 1
The tower isn't tall enough in my opinion tho
This
I'll have to compare it to LEGO's Orthanc. If it's bigger than that, I'll be satisfied enough to put them side-by-side.

If there was only a way of making as tall as one would want
Actually it was designed so you can buy a second set so spare parts and stack more floors and make it taller!
I just can't get excited for this.. don't get me wrong, it's an amazing set, but just like Rivendell, it's soooo expensive.. Maybe the figs might be affordable on bricklink 🤞
I wouldn't hold your breath
@@FSUGeoff maybe they'll reach the same prices as we see in The Cantina or Rivendell sets, although those have twice as many figs..=/
Fell Beast is a massive disappointment. Should have had more detail especially in the head. The Witch King of Angmar huge missed opportunity. Massive fail. Other than that the core Barad-Dur set is a masterpiece.
Probaby the witch king will be in minas tirith next year
We need more reasonably priced sets. Look at Star Wars, there is a mix of play sets, battle packs, poly bags, UCS sets, in a range of $10-$500+...all we get for LOTR is the $500 category. Lego can and should do better.
LotR doesn’t have its own theme anymore like Star Wars. These sets are part of the Icons line, they do almost all big sets. They are making LotR brick heads though.
No thank you, actually needs more bigger sets
You're 10 years too late for LOTR/HOBBIT sets in the mid range bud, like old mate said it's Icons so they'll never be smaller and we don't want em smaller, bring on Minas Tirith!
It is gothmog and it was the fight of minas thirit 😅
GOTHMOG
Yes! thank you
I'm so glad the fell beast doesn't look amazing imo. So I'm not gonna feel compelled to pre-order this
Would have bought iffff Sauron was a tall fig :DDD
Yeah they've just done it for the madam maxim fig so would have been nice
Great set, definitely a day 1 buy. I'm very pleased it actually has a gwp, instead of the crappy offer of an already released brickheads like rivendell had. I wasn't too upset about that though, as making the free set something you can still get otherwise is better for consumers who can't afford the big set(i still wish it wasn't a brickheads though. Brickheads are super lame)
Also, why is no one talking about the fact we get Sam and Frodo in their orc armor?!
This is a day one purchase for me! I'll be getting it online though so won't be able to do the whole shop thing.
Does anyone know what time in the UK you can order it from? Midnight etc?
The tower I am so impressed with... every aspect and I'm wondering what pieces will be new colours.
The Fell Beast on the other hand... it's alright ..
Should be from midnight.
@Stud-Lord late night for me then! I am so excited for this set. I feel like a kid again!
Uh oh another big set. Here come all the people that can’t afford it here to tell you they totally never wanted it anyway.
I cant afford it and never wanted it anyway
lol
Retarded take. Some people don’t want to spend $500 on a lotr set.
I can Afford it and I wanted it forever😑 so be quiet
🎉❤ MUST BUY
The fellbeast looks so so not very impressive compared to Lego kingdom dragon
Im dissapointed. Sauron with the size of a regular mini-fig, strange looking Gollum, no Nazgul on MODULAR feel beast included, only 10 mini-figs, Frodo and Sam with regular look (they coud be in orcs armors like in the movie). And on top of that, that brick build fell beast is just ugly. It's sup to be modular like Smaug. LEGO, you fucked this up!
You are right! You think exacly like me. The Barad dur build is incredible but, Then i think there should have been new Orc weopons and Nazgul. I also thought that the orc with a bandana was strange, why not just a helmet? Lego Why?
Tall fig Sauron would have been a sell for me
It needs a back....and that GWP is a joke. Especially since ive seen so many MOC builds that are leagues better with a similiar part count. The fact we dont get a witch king of angmar minifigure...thats dissapointing.
Not interested. A big black tower with no back and hardly any minifigures, for £400. No thanks.
Did you expect Barad-Dûr not to be a black tower or? Yes it is a shame its not complete on all sides however.
I am disappointed with this set.
I don't enjoy most of the look of the tower; the eye is cool, but most of it either looks boring to me (all the black bits), or just 'out of place' (all the colored bits at the bottom). The interiors are mostly very plain and boring. And the minifigure selection leaves a LOT to be desired for such an expensive set. I want more LotR Lego, but this is not it.
If you compare the two, Rivendell blows this set out of the water, hands down.
