the readouts for the damage works by how much damage you do out of the health left so if something has 100hp and you do 12345 damage it says that you did 100 damage and if it had 100 max hp and you did 30 damage it would say that you did 30 damage and if you then do 12345 damage it would say that you did 70 damage
@@beanjuice1234 Still doesn't really add up, DF's had runs in the past where he hits trees for thousands of damage, tree HP does not scale with day Also smashing idiots and bosses to death for roughly the same damage despite both dying in single hits, or the obvious one, dealing significantly more damage with Big Chunk crits despite already one-shotting things I would hazard the more sensible answer that Chaos Mod just nerfed damage scaling to compensate for the generally more wild progression

That doesn't quite add up, cause Bosses definitely survive hits of 100+ with most of their HP intact
