I'm hearing this for the first time in April, 2024. I recently turned 75 years old, though I am mostly healthy and spry. I've never listened to many of Van Morrison's songs. But I am certainly won over by These Are The Days. "There is no past, there's only future. There's only here, there's only now." Might be a good idea for me to try to live by this motto.

That's where I heard it too, and went home from the hospital the day my youngest daughter was born and listened to it a few times. This song will now be played at my request for the Daddy-Daughter Dance at her wedding next year. It's a beautiful song for such a special occasion as this, and I will be mentioning about the day she was born and the movie this song was discovered in.
I played this repeatedly for my dad in the hospital back in June, during his last days. I played it right before he was taken off life support. The nurses just stood listening and wiping their own tears. It just seemed like a good song to say goodbye.

We had this song at my mums funeral at the beginning of March this year. She loved the movie "9 months", In which this song is played at the end. She had breast cancer which spread to her brain and then eventually everywhere else. I never though a pain like this existed. Mum was only 56 years old and suffered for 2 and half years. She fought to the last breath. The strength she showed us, took us by surprise and was admirable. She died 2 days after my birthday. I hope no one has to suffer the way she did. And I wish all those who have lost someone to cancer, to find peace within. I'm still looking but I know one day I'll get there. Love you mum. X

That's where I heard it too, and went home from the hospital the day my youngest daughter was born and listened to it a few times. This song will now be played at my request for the Daddy-Daughter Dance at her wedding next year. It's a beautiful song for such a special occasion as this, and I will be mentioning about the day she was born and the movie this song was discovered in.
I played this repeatedly for my dad in the hospital back in June, during his last days. I played it right before he was taken off life support. The nurses just stood listening and wiping their own tears. It just seemed like a good song to say goodbye.

We had this song at my mums funeral at the beginning of March this year. She loved the movie "9 months", In which this song is played at the end.
She had breast cancer which spread to her brain and then eventually everywhere else.
I never though a pain like this existed. Mum was only 56 years old and suffered for 2 and half years. She fought to the last breath. The strength she showed us, took us by surprise and was admirable. She died 2 days after my birthday. I hope no one has to suffer the way she did. And I wish all those who have lost someone to cancer, to find peace within. I'm still looking but I know one day I'll get there. Love you mum. X
