- This is Paul Weller on the Tube (a British TV programme) 1982, just prior to going on stage for the Jam's last ever TV gig. A real piece of rare Jam footage,,, enjoy!
"well Muriel, I am going to unleash the style council's cacophonous and unique brand of euro jazz onto the unsuspecting jam fanbase's ears"
True...and we loved it .
Oh, man. I made my parents shell out for a new TV ariel just so I could get Channel 4 and see this. Then I made them go to Tesco so I could grieve alone.
Oh my gosh he’s just the sexiest man ever and I’m not even gay
😂 😂 🐻 🐻
What a babe!!!
Don't give up the day job Muriel...
The man is just a council of style...
Legend !
Gill Price was a dollybird Weller ruined. So many
it’s funny how a video from 1982 can be crystal clear quality, but something from 1998 is so blurry and pixelated you can barely see it
@ConnorPregowski Totally agree!!!!!
Terrible interview, Muriel Gray got her revenge by introducing them as "Those masters of wit and repartee - The Jam" . she also had a right go at Mick Jagger and Julian Temple concerning the Stones "Undercover of the night" video still got it somewhere on Betamax.
There it is, and Bobs your uncle.......
Do you think they 'did it' afterwards?
alex who?
muriel always confused sarcasm with wit, she had a lot of the former.
Yeah! Specially when scraping foetus off the wheel were on the tube three years after this! I know Jim Thirwell had a stupid name for the band and himself but she really did come out with some rediculous questions! Like here!!!!
@camboy38 alex turner is simply good- wellers a god- no real comparison-
I don't think Muriel Gray liked Weller. She was a crap presenter anyway.
He never did cheer up.
