Valhalla Calling! Thriller! What Do We Do With A Drunken Sailor! Nothing Else Matters! (Yes, it's a Metallica cover, and has an extra little surprise!) But you know what? You can't go wrong with any of them! 💙
VoicePlay is fully indy - no label, no manager - and they like reactors. You don't need to use the cut-aways. You might want to watch Dragonborn Comes, or In the Air Tonight.
Whenever you do a voiceplay or Geoff Castellucci video, you guys don't need to do any cuts on their videos. They don't copyright their videos, and they absolutely love reactors, and they advocate for you guys, so just to let you know, there's no need for the cutaways. It just makes it more enjoyable to watch and less distracting, as im sure you know. That should also help a ton in editing as well. Also, since you haven't checked them out in forever, nothing else matters, Valhalla calling, and hellfire are fantastic. Geoff's solo channel is also a must! His new Carroll of the Bells cover is one of his best. Jack's Lament is a favorite of mine. So is his cover of black bird, as it showcases his entire range. Although, since then, his range has certainly been extended, but it's an incredibly impressive cover that not many people in the world are capable of doing in the way he does it. Unshaken is probably what I'd consider the newest version of him showing off nearly his entire range. All of Hobbit song covers are also sublime. But I'll stop there, lol. Anything from him or voiceplay is just spectacular, and the crazy thing is that each new video they put out is somehow even better than the last.
'Little Mermaid Medley' and "Hoist The Colors" (from "Pirates Of The Caribbean") are two of my favorite Disney covers from Voice Play if you are looking for more Disney. Otherwise pick one you know and like from their playlist-- you will never be disappointed.
Voiceplay are the best! Nothing Else Matters, The Way You Make Me Feel, Stand by Me, Thriller, you really can't pick a bad song. You should also check out Geoff Castellucci's solo channel.
The high tenor, the middle hyena, is Mykal Kilgore who performed her with them back in high school. He left shortly after graduation for Broadway where he has a very successful career and a Grammy to his name. he and Cesar, the dumb hyena, hit it off like crazy because they’re both super dramatic. It was great fun to watch them in the behind-the-scenes. You might really enjoy their Little Mermaid Medley where he is Ursula to see. It’s a lot of fun and he does a spectacular job. It was hard for me to watch your video because you cut away so often. It’s not necessary with him or with the group because they are fully independent artists. Although they do copyright their work they do not issue copyright strikes and if RUclips issues one for some reason they work to clear it up immediately. Lots of reactors watch the entire song straight through without stops and don’t have problems. If there is a problem it’s always RUclips. Please consider doing more of their work but please don’t break it up like this it’s painful to those of us who love them.
They have a Disney playlist. My favorites are Hoist the Colours from Pirates of the Caribbean 3, Go the Distance from Hercules, and the Little Mermaid Medley. But they do every genre you can imagine. And don't forget Geoff's solo work. Subscribed in anticipation.
Oh my gosh, if it's been over two years you haven't seen Nothing Else Matters, or Valhalla Calling, or Thriller or Party Of Your Lifetime or The Lion Sleeps Tonight or Sleeping In The Cold Below or In The Air Tonight or Stand By Me or Creep or Seven Nation Army or aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
Next? Their cover of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica. It's amazing! Valhalla Calling Me and Hoist The Colours are also epic. Or you can check out Geoff's solo channel to really see his talent and 5 Octave range. His cover of The Sound of Silence is superb!
Ooooh Nothing Else Matters is such a beautiful song, I can only imagine what it would sound like with them performing it!!!! Same with Sound of Silence! Thanks for the suggestions! 🎉
Voice Play's best genre is "Disney" covers. I believe the most watched today is their Moana Medley. I love their Little Mermaid Medley too. You'll be exited for both.
Thanks for another reaction to VoicePlay! They never disappoint! Geoff has a solo channel too where you can hear more of his range. His solo work isn't acapella but he does all of the instrumentals himself. (Read the video descriptions to see how very much Geoff and VoicePlay do for themselves.) Last month, Geoff's solo Christmas release topped 1M views in a little over two weeks.
As you explore VoicePlay's rabbit hole, you'll notice different members. Currently they have four core members, Geoff Castellucci-Bass, (who also has his own channel, fully worth checking out, I suggest his drop from last month, Carol of The Bells), Cesar De La Rosa-Tenor (he wore the tooth necklace in this one), Layne Stein-Beatboxer, and Eli Jacobsen, Tenor and Rock God (the handsome bald guy). They also have a part time member, J. None, who was in Oogie Boogie's song. But they have many talented guests they feature, each perfect for their song. And some members have come and gone, as is life in the music industry. But it's highly unlikely you'll be disappointed by any of them. I'm subscribing so I watch you go down this rabbit hole! Enjoy! Oh, and I put together a set of "rules" (suggestions) for peak VoicePlay viewing, if you'd like me to post them. BUT, I'll only do it if I have an okay in writing. Only one reactor has ever minded, but I don't do it now without being told it's all right. Have fun!💙
@@tktoptunes Sorry this is so long. But I like to be thorough. Okay, here goes! Some unofficial rules for listening to Voiceplay, and some info as well. I just came up with them on my own, but after years of being a Voiceplaya, I've found they're necessary for optimal Voiceplay (and Geoff Castellucci as well) listening. If you've already got some of them down, know I'm just posting the list, not criticizing your reactor skills! The "rules:" #1) VERY important! ALWAYS watch to the very end of the video, or at least a ways into the patrons scrolling, even in there's a black screen for a moment. Often times it may LOOK like the video has ended, but there's an outro. Also, watching to the end lets you see their awesome cover art, hear the karaoke cover, or just listen to the music some more! #2) Always leave the closed captions on. Geoff's wife Kathy (who helps greatly with their videos, she also appears in some, such an amazing woman!) has hearing loss, so sometimes there will be little hidden gems in the CC. #3) If you pause a video to speak, rewind it five seconds or so before you start it again, to make sure you don't miss anything. #4) Don't look away from the screen, or close your eyes for more than a second, because, again, you might miss a visual gag or clever moment. Their videos are chock full of them. #5) Don't go into their videos with expectations on what the song will be like, i.e., that it will be the same as the original. These guys put their own spin on things. The only thing to expect, generally, is to be blown away by their sheer talent. #6) Unless you have a REALLY great speaker system with stereo sound, ALWAYS wear good headphones/earbuds with Voiceplay and Geoff. They do amazing little tricks you can only pick up with those hearing devices. Plus, some of Geoff's notes are so low you practically can't hear them without headphones. Okay, now for some info on the group. One of the greatest things about Voiceplay is their videos ARE NOT COPYRIGHTED! They want people to enjoy and react to their videos (and sometimes they will watch the reactions themselves)! Oh, and FYI, Voiceplay is: *Geoff Castellucci.* (Said Jeff Cas-teh-lou-chee) He's the bass, with long hair. He has a solo channel of low bass covers, well worth checking out! His lowest note, currently, is a B0. You can hear it in Voiceplay's "Valhalla Calling." You almost feel it more than you hear it. *J. None.* The African American fellow with the crooner's voice. He got his neck broken in "Oogie Boogie's Song." He is currently on "reverse leave," he is away from the group singing for the Navy, but frequently does videos with VP when he can. Some say he's no longer a member, but I feel like he still is, at least part-time. *Eli Jacobsen* (pronounced El-ee, NOT E-lie!) Tenor rock god. The bald gentleman. *Cesar De La Rosa,* their newest member. Joined in 2021. He brings the feels to every performance! And he flirts with the camera, and it flirts right back! He is the King of Sass! *Layne Stein,* their beatboxer. Sometimes he sings, and it's always a treat to hear his voice. He's also known as The Carrot Lord. He has another talent you will discover. I won't spoil it, but you can see it in "Warriors," "The Lion Sleeps Tonight," and also "Nothing Else Matters." (Yes, Voiceplay did an acappella cover of Metallica.) Glad to see you enjoy them! As we all do, they surprise even those of us who have been their fans for years! My favorite Voiceplay line-up is with Cesar and J. None. There have been different line-ups through the years, so don't be surprised if the core members' faces change as you go back farther in time. With J. None in the Navy now, they have different guests for each song. Here we have MykAl Kilgore, one of the founding members of the group, which goes back about 20 years. But fear not, because they always find the PERFECT guest for each song! I could tell you all sorts of facts and opinions about each member, but I'll let you discover them on your own! Enjoy! I know we will watching you!💙
Ooh you have missed so much! They do all genres, but as others have suggested, they have load of Disney covers you can do for a start. They are amazing because they do EVERYTHING themselves. Have fun 🌹🕊
Love getting some of our reactors back! Don't be a stranger! VP also did Thriller for Halloween. Before that they did an amazing one called Classical Chaos with Rachel Potter as the guest. Geoff's Christmas solo is Carol of the Bells as you've never heard it before. Epic.
I'll add another recommendation to check out Geoff's solo stuff. His most recent release, Carol of the Bells, is an absolutely brilliant arrangement. Voiceplay is known as the Theater Kids of acapella. 😄
I have subscribed for more VoicePlay & Geoff Castellucci reactions. VoicePlay & Geoff are my all time favorites. for VoicePlay, I would recommend: "Valhalla Calling", "Nothing Else Matters", "Stand By Me", "Thriller", "Hoist the Colors", "Drunken Sailor", "Dream On", "Seven Nation Army", "Creep", "Party of Your Lifetime" and "Hellfire". For Geoff, I would recommend: "16 Tons", "Far Over the Misty Mountains", "I See Fire", "Song of Durin", "Unshaken" & "Ain't No Sunshine".
Two years means you've missed their best work 😱 Start with Hellfire if you want to kick off with more Disney, then move on to... Oh just about anything! Stand By Me, Nothing Else Matters, Seven Nation Army, Valhalla Calling, In the Hall of the Mountain King and it's sequel Classical Chaos. Just watch it all!
BE PREEEPAREDDDDD! This was such an amazing cover! We NEED to hear more VoicePlay! What should we check out next? ⬇

Everything they do is top tier but if you are on a Disney kick their Little Mermaid Medley is great fun!! ❤
I second this!
'Little Mermaid Medley' and "Hoist The Colors" (from "Pirates Of The Caribbean") are two of my favorite Disney covers from Voice Play if you are looking for more Disney. Otherwise pick one you know and like from their playlist-- you will never be disappointed.
Sounds like the Little Mermaid Medley is next!! I love the Little Mermaid songs!! Can't wait to hear :)

I guess they don’t really like them if they ONLY watch them when people tells them to.
Can't wait to listen to all of those!! Thanks for the suggestions! :)

Oh Thriller!!! That would be epic! Thanks for the suggestion! 😊
not to sound offensive, but, if you're gonna take the video off screen, at least pause it. quite a bit of the song ends up missing.
This.

Oooh! We’ve never heard of that artist before, would be fun to check out! Thanks for the suggestion Christopher! 😊
will you guys do more kpop reactions 🥺
We have KPop girl groups part 2 coming out today!!! 🎉😊😮❤
You can do both! Voiceplay did a version of Butter by BTS
Geoffs Monster Mash and aso Headless Horseman
Need to do this again, and edit better.
To many pauses and talking
