These films are "artistic" look of the Olympics, the kind of films that get Oscars. They are different from what you see on TV. See 18:08 of what to expect. They may have glimpses of open ceremonies, but not everything you see on TV broadcasts of the Olympics.
Hopefully some kind soul will upload WHITE ROCK soon, the only film I'd be interested in, since Criterion made BUYING it out of the question with this pricing that costs a bundle for a bundle.
@@Blue_flock These are not sport events like you see on ESPN. These are "artistic" documentary films, the kind that win Oscars. This whole set is made for film buffs, not sports fans (although many people are both).
@@classicvideogoodies I was wondering how to see the Olympic Games rewatch games can’t be watched again or downloaded them peacock isn’t available for my region to rewatch this year Olympics instead bc most the games in a mess schedules
@@Blue_flock You need to ask the broadcasters in your region that have the rights for the Olympics. For instance, it's BBC in the UK, Eurosport in most European countries, etc.
This is an amazing boxset, but its so expensive 😭
As of August 2024, the Criterion channel streams most of the films on this set. Minus the hardcover book, of course.
are any of the opening ceremonies featured in the set?

Olympia movie from 1936 berlin olimpics games should be on a stand alone blu ray. Not everyone have $200 dollars to pay for the set. 😡😡😡😡😡
Olympia can be streamed on the Criterion Channel, as can all the films in this set.
