I ran a Zipper for almost a decade from mid 90's to early 2000's. There are several reasons for not allowing single riders. The first one has to do with the rider restraints and safety. The lap bar that goes across your lap to hold you in can be slid out of if you are in there by yourself. People are stupid and will try to do this. While it can be done with two people in there, especially if you are small and particularly flexible, it is much harder. The second reason is due to ride balance. The Zipper works best when it is kept in balance. It is much easier to keep the ride in balance when you are not putting single passengers in. Letting the ride go too far out of balance can cause your boom and cable drives to become sluggish. In extreme cases it can even cause the brakes on the electric motors which spin the cables to be unable to hold and your tubs will drift. This makes loading and unloading difficult. The third reason is due to cost. Many carnival rides allow loading and unloading of all passengers at once. The Zipper does not. Think of a Tilt-A-Whirl, where all riders disembark at the same time, and a new set is put on within a minute or two. On the Zipper, since you can only load at most two tubs at a time, and there are 12 tubs, you need to maximize load potential to maximize profits. By enforcing the no single riders policy, you are increasing your profit per run.

I went on it but I get why people don’t want to get on it it has that feeling in ur stomach every time you flip never going on it again
