Marty worked for my Dad in Arizona around 1951 at a refinery. Dad said he (Marty) would work there during the day and then go to the local radio station and sing live in the evening. Pretty cool, yes?
What a wonderful vocal performance by one of the great singer song writers of all time. Even though he didn't write this one it's one of my favorite MR tunes.
All his songs brings back fond memories to me and I get very emotional listening to the lyrics. Ya, Marty is definitely one of my top favourite singers.
I don't know what to say about this performance. I want to cry. I want to rejoice. A man shares his moment of depravity and his failure in discretion.... that is just... hot! Marty's falseto transition is perfect. A perfect moment captured in time... I feel like a mosquito in a nudist colony: I know what to do, but, I don't know where to start!
What a set of pipes on this guy! Beautiful vocals and beautiful backing vocals. They also look like they had a lot of fun performing together. Thanks so much for posting this. What a treat.
To me athe real king of country as once said you could make a film from each cowboy recording he made a much missed figure of country love the footage thank you
yes he raced was he good? (no) but he loved it that's all that matters, seen his race car in phoenix, manzanita speedway i believe that is how it is spelled
Marty's voice, brings romance in every song he sings.

Hard to match this performance. Among the best, and what harmonizing, and Marty's voice, a Gift bestowed upon him which he shared with the rest of us.
