Any thoughts.
The voltage across the diode will be : (By using KVL) Vdiode = Vmsinωt +Vm ; where Vmsinωt is the ac source voltage and Vm is the voltage developed across capacitor So as Vm =100v Vdiode varies from 0 to 200V.

You are actually right. Should be maximum of zero on cathode of first diode with respect to the anode. Wondering why it's only you who noticed it
@CHINMAY SHETYE no. Voltage should be defined as potential of point x with respect to point y. X is the cathode of the diode and you the anode.
