Thanks for the documentaries Camp Man , I’ve done my share of what you do , I’m a bit old now so thanks for taking me to them places , love what you do
We call them grunters in the Zambezi Dale.... Do they squeak or grunt..... Dale put a policeman on your rod tip..... It's a bell thing.... Looked like an old Ford Fairlane
Hey Dale, really enjoy all of your adventures, the camping the fishing the travelling you do is amazing,I get itchy feet every time I watch one, keep up the good work.👍🍺
Ay man, it’s been brilliant out this way. Finally starting to run low on water too. Cheers to you and ya brother man. Hopefully see ya’s around again sometime.
Brilliant again Dale.. those sawfish are something.. I thought they were really scarce.. anyhoo.. great to watch.. when are you going to take the boat out? Stay safe, cheers, Sandy from Kirrawee….
The same thing happened at Phillip landing, a crocodile taking a cow while we watched, 20 years ago, (which is outside of Ayr,) they now have crocodile signs up there now ,so stay safe.
Those old cars and shack are Hemuts camp. He was an old German barra netter. Apparently he used to move up the top of the shack for the wet when it floods right Through there. Crazy
Right on, another great vid, I still think Dodge should have her own channel, strap a camera on her back and go. She would have to do her own editing though, be all food bowls and barra. cheers
Great footage of the croc with its dinner, gives an awesome perspective of the size. And lad, that Barra, 81cm top effort. Can feel how stoked you are with that catch, well done. Cheers for another great view of your lifestyle. 👍😎
hi Camp Man,Ive been a long-time subscriber and watcher but this my first comment. Your last vid. summed up the Top End beautifully.Barra,Crocs,gr8 sunsets and sunrises. The bird calls in the morning and evening all unique to the Top End. Loved it.Keep em coming..
Such an amazing thing to ponder who took those things there and what rainbows were they chasing, so many dreams and experiences there. We did a trip 30 years ago through the opal fields around Winton and Longreach so the history in the bush was amazing of the gear left behind after reality of this harsh land settles in and takes everything back. To see how far people pushed a wheel barrow a 100 to 150 years ago and where they got to just amazes me. Cheers Garry
It’s awesome seeing the Sawfish, they are both juveniles. They grow about 1m a year and by what I have been told by a researcher when I phoned in to report one I caught last year. A rare occurrence indeed
Good stuff. I hooked a sawfish at Cape Keraudren once, they are tricky buggers to get off the hook - had no choice as the lines I use are just too heavy to snap. Luckily the fish and I got away uninjured :)
God dam boy. That croc and cow brought back memories of my last barra fishing trip to Aussie 10 yr ago. We was camped at a remote boat ramp on the Ord and on the second day a massive croc surfaced next to one of my buddies sizing him up, we threw some sticks at him to scare him off. On the third day he swam up to us with a dead Brahman in his jaws, recon he did that just to intimidate us, which he did and we left. On the way back to kunnunurra he came across a rancher pushing a mob on Brahmans along the road, he said he loses about 200 head a year to the crocs and a few horses, largely the young ones. He pointed out a cow that looked like it had half it nose torn off and said that was a lucky one?
My gosh, what an episode bro. Those noises would freak me out 😂. You are a good example of how to respect the waters edge mate. That Croc was massive. Great fishing. Great content👌🏽

Memories man, nothing better. That would of been an epic trip. Mambi boat ramp by the sounds.
Long handled gaff or tree limb cut where a branch sticks out as gaff to slip in hills drag fish up beach or lizard will scare shit out of you at edge
Those saw fish are rare nice catch
In some places, they are thriving in this system by the looks. But i definitely haven’t got manny in my time of fishing so it’s a good feeling.
Nice Barra mate! Should get yourself a nice alvey setup mate, will live longer than you up there 😂

Don’t know what brand, but they are good heavy hooks. Just look up, live bait hooks. They are similar but just a bit longer. Around size 7/8
