It happens super slow so u feel every ounce of pain, from mild to excruciating. Absolute torture.

Correct. The reverse bear trap was in a flashback of Dr Lawrence listening to Amanda describe her experience in a Jigsaw trap. Although I think you see a clip in the sequel when she reveals to Donnie Wahlberg that Jigsaw “saved her life”. But still that clip is definitely from the first movie.

According to physics laws and human biology, i doubt reverse bear trap works in way it worked at Jill in the movie. It would probaby brake lower jaw, since it is easier to move lower jaw than moving the head which is far heavier. It would not destroy the whole face, but victim is likely to lose their lower jaw and bleed out to death. (assuming there is nobody to provide medical service)

You're likely be instantly dead because of broken neck i think. Your upper jaw is not another bone, it's a part of your skull. Because of this the skull will crush the neck, so the death of this would be pretty ok in comparison to other traps.

The trap is too fast and has to much force going the opposite way of being closed. To spring open has more energy output than to close which make this worse than the regular bear trap
