Correct. The reverse bear trap was in a flashback of Dr Lawrence listening to Amanda describe her experience in a Jigsaw trap. Although I think you see a clip in the sequel when she reveals to Donnie Wahlberg that Jigsaw “saved her life”. But still that clip is definitely from the first movie.
@@classicallegend I know. It did appear in other movies, but Saw 2 is not one of them. The only time it’s shown in that movie is in one of Amanda’s flashbacks, which is just a recycled clip from the first movie.

I’m saw 1, Amanda had one of the few traps where she didint have to hurt herself, and pepole say that it’s rigged to have Amanda survive, here’s what I think. John gave Amanda a very easy trap because he wanted her to survive, but also wanted her to learn to appreciate life, so while she could have died, it was very unlikely.
Why would you believe movie writers over someone who has a whole channel breaking down deaths? You seriously think movie writers know if something would be instantly lethal or not? They just assumed it would instantly kill you. Movie writers don’t even know how suppressor work. They think they make guns super quiet. That’s not true. a gun with a suppressor is still pretty loud and yet you’re basing medical information on what these people think. Lots of people have had their jaw ripped open and survived.
According to physics laws and human biology, i doubt reverse bear trap works in way it worked at Jill in the movie. It would probaby brake lower jaw, since it is easier to move lower jaw than moving the head which is far heavier. It would not destroy the whole face, but victim is likely to lose their lower jaw and bleed out to death. (assuming there is nobody to provide medical service)
Like any other time this trap is mentioned, no one even explains how it actually works! Where exactly is it? You can’t even tell where it’s linked to. You just hear what it does, yet I’m still confused where it’s at and how that would actually kill someone.

I think "The Rack" is just as bad, if not worse. It's very slow torture. U feel every bone break in all your limbs because theytre being twisted in unnatural positions before your head is twisted full 360° very slowly.
You're likely be instantly dead because of broken neck i think. Your upper jaw is not another bone, it's a part of your skull. Because of this the skull will crush the neck, so the death of this would be pretty ok in comparison to other traps.
I said the same thing in my comment before i saw this and im glad someone else had enough common sense to not just go with whatever she said... idk where she got this shit from.
