You will sponsor them to join you and whiles they are working and making money, they expect you to still pay for everything simply because you sleep with them. She's not the only one. I know a lot of women who don't take kindergeld but are happy with their husband's. Kindergeld is what is breaking many homes, but they calculate it as housekeeping for the family.

One thing is that she did not know the laws. 8 years marriage should have given her, her papers. A lawyer would have collected it easily for her. She was long time qualified without her knowledge. The man hid everything from her.
When someone brings you to Abroad either your family or spouse, and they tell you to pay them, do that, it's normal for family to take back their money, but married couple part where so many people don't understand it. How can my husband/ wife take his or her money after i join them in abroad it doesn't sound well... but i will advise you to pay... the 8years meant the total years she was her husband, time in Ghana included.
They were together for five years in Ghana before she came to Germany, that means her whole agony in Germany is within three years.
8 years marriage should have given her stay. Rather unfortunately, she didn't know the law and the husband kept it secret from her. Sorry!.
