Teorically that scale point is 1/10 and 1/2 and 1/1, the last model of the video Perhaps is a 1/10 scale. A "Scale reproduction" is an interesting concept. Also, for be a "boat" needs a real propulsion and navigation sistem and be hidrodinamical correct.
It’s the same argument with these guys who build 1:6 to 1:4 scale RC aircraft. This one guy is building a scale F4U Corsair that’s about as big as a small kit plane. I keep wondering “when are you going to ditch the RC, and just climb in?”
About 8 years ago I had several brand new bed frames that were in a truck a customer brought here for body work. I put the stuff on FB and Craigs List for $25 bucks for my troubles. Three guys came from NY said they were building a model boat and needed angle steel. Well who was I to argue when ya see beautiful stuff like these model boats.
That last boat he built his own mini cruise ship he is stunting every sand bar he pulls up to lol. It big enough to go on a river cruise with with a few ppl for fun for a night or two idk about huge waves off shore at all though
Random video for me. I've always appreciated all sorts of models especially having been a reasonably competent plastic model builder. With movie making, large models are rarely a surprise, and are expected more often than not. But large models are quite surprising when it comes to individual model builders. As the video shows, one requirement is some place to keep them during, and after fabrication. It's also hard to imagine the time, and resources invested by one person. I recently saw a video about a miniaturist, and fine model builder. One of his models is of a four wheeled horse drawn wagon about 18 in long. If I remember correctly, he estimated it took over 2000 hours to complete. So large or small, that's a lot to invest either way. So hats off to those who can do it.
If you can hop aboard it then it’s no longer a model it’s just a scaled down boat humans can get on. Nice pictures but would love to see videos of these.
Wow, that's something I've never seen before. Does anybody actually live on that last large boat? It sure looks like someone could. These huge models are amazing; thanks for sharing them. I learn something new every day!
OMG!!! I had no idea people were doing things like this! I've been to many maritime museums, seen lots of models, but... this level of detail at a much larger scale is absolutely mind-blowing! These guys are all incredible. Hat's off!
I’ve seen some amazing models of boats made by people who own the real thing. A guy built a replica of his 26’ TollyCraft complete with air horns , Radar , Anchor, etc. He showed at Fisherman’s Festival in Ballard and immediately had an inquiry as to how to build one of them like a 28’……?? He said $6k and next thing he knew…… I found him a miniature salesman sample of a common “Bruce” plow in bronze and he just about cried when he spied it . He lost the radio contact at one event and had to roam docks until he heard his horn beeping. Loved the huge battleship. Good stuff.
Vessels of that size I would think need to be classed and certified as real boats and not models if they go on open water. Amazing even so. Thanks for posting this, would love to learn more about the 'models'.
That 88ft (≈26.9m) Titanic must be a 1:10 scale because the real ship was 269m long. If that were a working and floating model it would have to be classed as an actual boat.
It's like the RC planes getting to big,if it's for films, that's ok but to build the m in you backgarden , but build something else so you family can enjoy, I love building boat cars and planes regards ,Mr Mills from England have a great Christmas and a fantastic New year ❤❤❤❤ to you all were ever you are keep safe and warm xxx
Goodness, that last one is an absolute WHOPPER! It would be nice to know some of the scales here. I model at 1:43 scale. I feel some of these models may be at my scale, it would be nice to see what a big ship looks like at my scale. They tend to prefer 1:48 scale (quarter inch to the foot) so one of them might be that scale.
A gentleman in France named Francois Zanella, after getting sick of building the average size cruise ship models, decided to take things one step further and spent 11 years building a huge replica of Majesty of the Seas. It is 1/8th scale, 33.5 metres long, 4.75 metres wide and an impressive 100 tonnes. Francois started building the replica in his garden in Moselle, France, which is ironic as Majesty of the Seas was too built in France by Chantiers de l’Atlantique. If that wasn’t impressive enough you might also be surprised to know that the model is actually a fully functional canal boat and with a draft of 1.06 metres she is the perfect size to gain admittance to most European canals.
1:48 is a lot easier to get figures for, in various periods and styles, I have some boats in 1:32 and finding crew and passengers is a bit of a pain, they all have to be converted from military figures and they are not common either, the preffered military scale being 1:35, they would do for 1:36 models though, it's almost a case decide on the boat scale depending on your crew size availability!.
2:46 The Majestic looks amazing. This got me thinking, how hard would it be to make a real yacht this size, but have it appear to be a much larger ship? Toy for a billionaire.
On the ones where the length of the model was given, look up with Google, the length of the original, and divide by the length of the model. The Titanic is 1/10, and the Majesty at Sea is 1/8.
They do the same thing with RC planes. I don't know why they don't just built them 3' bigger and fly them for real. When you get to that size, it's the cost of a used plane.
Some manufacturers that make large scale container ships uses the model on water to assess how well the ship copes in high waves, some are used in movie sets etc.
The name of the ship is “Majesty of the Seas”, and it’s probably my favorite of all cruise ships. Couldn’t find much info regarding the model itself, though.

If 33s to make Real One from the Reality type, how much can it become? Like to have r.c of it that can still shoot? If cruise ships have like that to release every stall or stop, secretly then? Alot of "10+yrs ago" type of bad stories happened, then 1 of a cruise ship restaurant waiter/waitress "to be killed" maybe smthg like that(and replaced)? The r.c or missle still strong enough to chase?
That is a big model it would be nice to see all of it You know, like in a video because this is RUclips. After all, where people post videosnot just pictures. It's RUclips, not you Picture
I admire RC vehicles and have dealt with them for many yrs. Some of these make me feel a bit embarrassed for thier builders. Pretending to build something instead of actually building something is kinda mental.
I have a 1/16 scale FAC for RC. (German 1970's type). INTERIOR as well as EXTERIOR. My problem is the running gear. At 9'6" and 200lbs, no model shafts and props are big enough. I used 2 ct down yamaha 3hp outboard props but still have not the ability to make a leak proof 30" prop shafts. Any suggestions?
Is there a point when it stops being a model and just starts being a boat? Perhaps a "Scale Reproduction"?

Just my opinion, but if you ride in it and control it, it's a vessel.
I’m going to say when you tie it up at a model dock
Let's get serious. Someone please build a 1:1 model of a Star Destroyer.

Same
That one guy has to build an iceberg to go along with his titanic.
If you can hop aboard it then it’s no longer a model it’s just a scaled down boat humans can get on. Nice pictures but would love to see videos of these.
Very surprised and impressed that this isn't click bait, and that model on the thumbnail is actually real. Wow.
That boat in the thumbnail is the majesty of the seas
That last one is awesome I would live in one of Channel things with all the long house boats in England or wherever awesome! 😂🎉🎉❤❤❤
Wow, that's something I've never seen before. Does anybody actually live on that last large boat? It sure looks like someone could. These huge models are amazing; thanks for sharing them. I learn something new every day!

at some point it's just a real boat, well done though
ok the pirate ship is amazing, like i fully want to get some gi joes dressed as pirates and play with it like a little kid
Aaargh, Ahoy there matey, I too want to do the same. Aaargh.
That 88ft (≈26.9m) Titanic must be a 1:10 scale because the real ship was 269m long. If that were a working and floating model it would have to be classed as an actual boat.
Not a boat but a ship, you would need a captains ticket, or would you as its just a scale model, - might come down to how you control it,
It's like the RC planes getting to big,if it's for films, that's ok but to build the m in you backgarden , but build something else so you family can enjoy, I love building boat cars and planes regards ,Mr Mills from England have a great Christmas and a fantastic New year ❤❤❤❤ to you all were ever you are keep safe and warm xxx

@@greatbritannialine Thanks for extra info. What an amazing thing it must be to see such a thing on a canal. It would be interesting to see inside.
@@richardarcher3435 No problems, I'm glad I could teach you a little more on the boat. It certainly is absolutely incredible

😱 Goodness gracious me! Simply fantastic! Best regards, luck and especially health to all involved people.
They should build 1:1 scale model of compact yachts and show them
Titanic and the cruiseship fucking killed me
i served my time on the illustrious and ark royal as a joiner it liiks really good, well made.
Wish I could find more videos on this last giant cruise ship its huge
m.ruclips.net/video/vSM8S4sFNtE/видео.html
Wow! I thought it was just clickbait, but it was real!! Incredible stuff.
Giants do exist they're really full sized ships captured by giants
and I thought my 1/200 Bismark was big...ha ha ha...great stuff
The wife must be very happy
Well Ive found a hobby I had never hear of before.... Thanks RUclips
I would like to know who these guys are and if they have more videos of their models
Especially the titanic dude and cruise ship maker
Those need hour long in and out documentarys on both
2:46 The Majestic looks amazing.
This got me thinking, how hard would it be to make a real yacht this size, but have it appear to be a much larger ship?
Toy for a billionaire.
The last one could actually be a houseboat on the inside?
I hope so, otherwise what does one do with a cruise ship that's somehow both too large and too small?
It is. He lives in it.
@@justanotherguy469 seriously? It is a house 🚢... that's great 👍there wouldn't happen to be a video for that? I'd love to see the inside.
That last one was totally out of control lol… That’s like a real boat.
That one would need its own mooring. You certainly couldn’t take it home every night.
It would be great if you informed about the scale they’re built in
On the ones where the length of the model was given, look up with Google, the length of the original, and divide by the length of the model. The Titanic is 1/10, and the Majesty at Sea is 1/8.
Ho lee fuk. I’ve just found this channel! 😳😳😳😱
There’s stuff here I’ve always wanted to try.
Wow so cool😮❤
Wow...the details are Amazing
great I love them, anyone who has a hobby like this must be very interesting person,
Замечательно прекрасная подборка различных моделей. Супер!
as a scale model builder of various genre, the biggest the better.
The majestic is a fine model but the basic roof lets it down.
It needs the upper pool deck and funnels.
Absolute mad geysers 😮😊😂. Ta. Dave

Last one is a ship when it's that big
That’s not a model. It’s not a boat either! It’s a SHIP!!!
I don't feel bad, about myself .. with 3 ' RC boats!
First, awesome work guys. But, if you ride in it and control it while riding it, it's a vessel.
All i can say is, Damn!
Wow!!!! Amazing 😮
I was gonna say they’re basically real boats that look like bigger ships. Lol
That cruiseliner s mental
I find it crazy how something the size of a yacht is a model.
Wow 🤩. Respect ✊
How the heck do they transport some of them?
Trailers. Some must have big trucks
By sea.
Check out the giant model ships at Original Benjamin's Calabash Seafood Restaurant.
They need to be in the water operating.
The last one is a yacht

Too hard to get a pilot's license, maybe? Plus if you stand on the ground, there's very little fear of dying in a crash.
We have the boat that the 2 guys were carrying the exact same boat
OMG TITANIC IS HERE YAYYYY
very cool happy new year
What do you do with them
Some manufacturers that make large scale container ships uses the model on water to assess how well the ship copes in high waves, some are used in movie sets etc.
I know nothing about this but the last giant how much do you think that costs to make all-in? USD?
About 500 dollars.

And a happy new year to you
So which world caribbean ship is that song of America or sovereign of disease?

I'm sorry but if you can get on the modle and sit in it it's not classed as a modle it's a real ship or boat....😮
