I work in one of the biggest retail companies in the USA, particularly in WA state. Everyday we deal with theft, from bag full (duffle bags, backpacks, other bags) to cart full of items. They rush out the store via the main doors or emergency exits! Nobody can physically prevent them! Baby formula is not one of them. In the apparel section the items stolen daily are shoes, expensive pants, work clothes and dresses; in the home department, favorite tolen are kitchen appliances that cost from $60 to $250 and electronics item such as televisions, sound bars, iPad/iPod & accessories, laptops, gaming consoles and accessories, HMDI accessories, etc. The biggest attempted theft was in two carts, totalling a bit over $4,000....All day longfrom opening to closing, more especially in the night, several known thieves have their way because employees cannot physically present them from running away with their loot, because several employees were very zeolous in protecting the company's interest got fired!

So, in my *opinion* "they" basically tweeted out, "We suck at our job.. please do our footwork for us on gun crimes. We're just too busy busting 12 year olds transporting/selling cigarette cartons over state lines."
