- Some renders of my Chris Reeve model sporting the Superman New 52 costume. Overall I think it's a cool design for a costume, except for the high collar which covers the neck, and thought it would be cool to see how it would look on Reeve. This is just my interpretation of how I think the suit would translate from comic drawings to 3D.

@@timetheory84 I remember in a bonus feature from the animated movie video Superman Unbound that Reeve's image was used in the original comic book the movie was based on.
He probably wouldn’t actually. There was an interview with him in 2007 where he expressed contempt for the studio’s use of effects for his flying. He learned and practiced flying all on his own to get the role, but we very disappointed that the director didn’t think it looked good on camera.

The real annoying and the most damning problem I have with Christopher reeve's superman is that he set the bar too damn high he is literally perfect superman personified

@@jayzp6822 Reeve's Superman was right out of the comic book. His superb acting almost made you accept Clark and Kal as too different guys. Also, with the exception of maybe George Reeves, Christopher Reeve is probably the only one who breaks the fourth wall in classic Clark Kent form.

I don't know anyone that wanted a serious Superman. There's nothing wrong with giving Superman emotional faults. The problem is the current Superman doesn't rise above it. The one archetype about Superman above all other heroes is that he's supposed to inspire. There's one scene in Justice league where he arrives at the Batcave is actually really good, but it's deleted! It's like they purposefully don't want us to cheer for Superman. Even Nolan's Batman does it and that's as serious as it gets.

No my friend, the idea of ROCKSTEADY is very much alive with Superman game. Its in the works. New talks of it being a sure thing this time. Keeping my fingers crossed tho. Its been all over youtube lately its coming. Next month with E3 we shall all know if its true. Search youtube for the talk about it in a few weeks

+Lance Hale - I can't wait for a good Superman game! Superman Returns - The game, was alright.. Not great, but not bad either! I think they managed the flight well, considering other developers have been put off making a Superman game, thinking the flying would be too hard to do. I remember reading all about that but can't remember the exact source. The next best thing was Julio's Superman script for GTA V, he done an amazing job adding in all of Superman's powers, especially considering its a mod for an already existing game! :-)

Reeve at his peak was actually more jacked than hugh jackman. It's just the suit actually hid his muscles to a degree. Watch what Reeve originally looked like when he was cast. Dude was skinny but afterwards he packed on tons of muscles. As far as his face goes it was perfect for Superman. I have no clue what your criticism there is all about. The one knock on Reeve is he was in all honesty a mediocre actor, at best. But he was perfect for Superman.
I cried a lot watching and reminiscing about this monumental masterpiece. This was a character that profoundly influenced my appreciation for justice and was played perfectly by actor Christopher Reeve

@Adrian Veidt Non comic book readers? Artists and writers like John Byrne and Dan Jurgens have been using Reeve's image as a template for Superman's look for decades.

I want so much to see a movie with Reeve brought back to life in CG. Henry Cavill is beloved as Superman and Brandon Routh did a fine job carrying the torch for Reeves' version of the character but when you set the bar the first time, no one forgets.

That was GREAT! Awesome job with the animations. Love the fact that you used the New 52 design. And you NAILED it. New 52 Superman is actually my second favorite version of him but the New 52 design is my favorite look. And to top it off, COMBINED WITH MY FAVORITE SUPERMAN! :D You need to teach the DCEU a thing or two.

I think Christopher Reeve would look great in ANY Superman suit. This gave me chills and actually brought tears to my eyes because he's my Superman and I actually like Cavill's Superman.

Not gonna lie, Keaton was a HORRIBLE choice as Batman. Scrawny, short, balding, goofy face - a total miscast. Sure, we love him now, but let's not pretend he even remotely looks the part of Bruce Wayne, much less The Batman. Keaton is 5' 9". You're not beating Bane or any one of his villains to a pulp at 5' 9" without superpowers.

Christopher Reeve's Superman was the best version of Superman - IMHO - but especially the way Elliot S. Maggin depicted that version of Superman in the novel - Superman:The Last Son of Krypton.

Its a classic for sure, but its pretty dated. Ive never liked tight spandex on anyone really. I was always jealous how Batman had these cool suits with textures and stuff. But my boy supes was still in tights.
K. T. Well on krypton that was the type of clothes they wore. Tights and capes were apart of their culture. It showed power and integrity.

PKRT 4 I think THIS animation does him some justice. I love the detail that was put into the suit, the facial expressions made. The walk can be touched up a bit (too robot like), other than that I want to see this in a comic or anime.
I like the suit render. I never got a chance in reading new 52 comics, but I heard of 52's supermans last comic. I like him in some regards. Also more of the song, can I get a link to the full track, without the sound effects?

And technically new 52 wasn't canceled I heard that rebirth is a merge of new 52 and all the stuff from DC we grew up in the past. I also heard super-mans first rebirth comic was good.

Kryptonian lifespan is three times that of a human in perfect health and that's without a yellow sun. Superman is practically immortal/eternally youthful under a yellow sun. Just look at Superman Prime One Million or Strange Visitor Superman.
Why are you guys so defensive of Reeves portraying an older Superman if he could?

The lore surrounding the new 52 suit is the best we've ever got, the fact it's Kryptonian biotech means it's literally a part of him, there's only one or two panels in the 1st new 52 where it slowly starts covering his skin by bit and God dammit I really hope we get to see that happens ugh Henry cavills superman

Christopher Reeve was the best. These days they are going too far with the bulkiness of Superman. I mean his super strength is a power/ability, muscle requires exercise to get bigger. Brandon Routh should come back and do Superman again, his features were a lot closer to Reeves than Cavill is.
I am thinking you haven't seen a Superman comic if you think Cavil is too bulky.
@@stevenjeffrey4637 Comics is way too exaggerated at times. Remember Rob Liefeld? All im saying is that super strength is a power. Sure the actor having muscles helps sell it but if i've learned anything from Dragonball Z is that being too bulky sacrifices speed and agility.

Also,..a superhuman being would not be hindered by "bulk", he would still have speed and agility because they are super human. Faster than a speeding bullet is faster than a speeding bullet,..no matter how much muscle he has. Not sure how you can say he doesn't look like Superman,..maybe not as MUCH as Reeve does (I disagree), but doesn't look like Superman at all? Come on man!

Seriously, Christopher Reeve is still the only actor IMO that looked EXACTLY like Superman from the comic books. The other actors are far inferior. Heck, Brandon Routh looked like a bad cosplayer, and Henry Cavill's version is an edgelord. If only Christopher Reeves had been born in this generation instead. Then again, we wouldn't have gotten those legendary portrayals (too bad that Superman 3 and 4 sucked)....
