3rd year there and still one of my favorite because of friends and how nice people are at this con. Its a bit smaller than most Texas con but i think thats what makes this more enjoyable than most i have been to over the years.
That’s awesome! It was my first year attending and can’t wait to get back again! The community feel there is really cool too. Everyone there is a potential friend
YOOOOO I loved this convention so much and cant wait for more. do you plan on going to any other cons? if so id love to go to those cause you were absolutely amazing at the rave! also watching my as leorio at 5:52 was so unexpected I forgot that happened. Kept jumping every time I saw my face on the video
Dude Oki was so fun! Yup my next 2 cons are Ikkicon and Katsucon. Catching yourself in a con video is always the best. Glad you could get hype seeing yourself 👏🏾
Y’all should definitely come to this con for 2024. It’s always on New Years and it’s absolutely insane. Waaaay smaller than Dragon Con, but super easy to make friends
I'm definitely aiming for Dragon Con next year. I think cons will around for a while. Certain ones might not exist anymore but cons existed way before we were born. Like I know New York Comic Con started in the 60s.
Dragon is the best con I've ever been to so I highly recommend it! I agree, cons will definitely be around for awhile. But i doubt we'll have as many as we do in 10+ years. I love what's happening now in the scene and I wanna soak up every moment of it. Thanks for your input as well!
This video was so well made. I really enjoyed the blend of Cosplay music video/Documentary and vlog that you created here. I also make con videos, hope to run across you at a con one of these days dude.
Great video! Only thing I disagree with is the sentiment that these cons are going to go away in the nearish future. Maybe they won't be as popular in a couple decades, but anime cons have been around since at least 1990, and have only been increasing in popularity since.
Thank you!! And I understand where you’re coming from. I don’t think I was clear enough in my video. I don’t think cons will go away in the near future, I just think there will be less of them and people will start cycling out of the scene. New people will eventually find themselves in the scene too but that may change the experience. A lot of folks tend to leave things behind when their friends aren’t as involved anymore. Thank you for your input. Definitely open to carry on this discussion too
@@storylogic8 hey sorry I didn't reply, I actually went to a con (fan expo) and sort of forgot. OK I'm glad I misinterpreted your message, because I honestly felt a little worried hearing that in the video since I went to my first con ever a year ago and had the best weekend of my life. I definitely understand that they'll be different in the future, but I think the charm of a smaller con is fun in it's own right. I also definitely see a lot of older people that I wouldn't have expected to be at such an event, so it does make me hopeful for the future. As anime becomes more and more mainstream, I feel like a few people might be put off by the popularity and intimidated by the sheer size of a lot of these cons. I also have noticed what you said about how if your friends aren't into stuff it'll make you less into that stuff as well. I see a lot of great youtube channels that posted similar content (cosplay MVs) from 2008-14 that just never uploaded past that point.
no problem! smaller cons always have a special feel imo because it's more likely that that those folks are there for similar reasons. I agree with what you said about the popularity and that scaring people off. that's party of why I'm making these videos in this way. you have to stay linked to your reasons and values to block out distraction enough to still enjoy the things you love. I want to showcase diversity and the core values of our community so that is something that stays top of mind with new and existing people. thanks again for your input!@@sowhazupguy

Hell yeh! Glad to have you in it! Didn’t realize that was you as Viking Entei tbh lol
Yo that Viking entei was my favorite costume in the vid. That’s such a great path to take. You can open up such a huge set of options for new outfits
@@storylogic8 yeah man 😅 planning to do more with that cosplay. But eventually I will have more Pokemon crossovers!
@@taijumasta exactly! Just look out for my next pokemon cross over cosplay. Its gonna be wild haha

Thanks for joining us in Room 824 for the after party!
Dude that was sooo fun!! Btw, did you happen to see a hatchet prop there? I left it somewhere at the con but couldn’t remember where lol
Thor approves 😂. It looks amazing brother and it was great seeing you at the con and becoming friends.
Love that we met dude! Thor’s approval is the only one I need 👏🏾
It was such a good con! I think I saw you several times walking around! I was Yor, Lemillion, and Bakugo! Can’t wait for next year
Couldn’t agree more! I’ll be back this year too so if you see me again, come say what’s up!
Wish i coulda been there. Definitely a new years goal is to spend it at a con

Such a fun time! Thanks for the nice shot of my DaftPunkAlive2077 cosplay.
Oki was one for the books! You’re welcome!
And I hope it’s not a golden age. If anything, I hope it just gets more n more normalized
Honestly same dude. I’m just tryna soak this moment up while I can!
