This decision followed President Xi Jinping's recent visit to a middle school for Golok Tibetans in Xining, the capital of Qinghai province. Online videos and news reports capture the emotional closing ceremony of the school, with hundreds of netizens expressing their disappointment through posts. Additionally, a schoolteacher made an announcement, and the founder of the school issued a statement on 14 July. This private institution, founded in 1994 by Ragya Jigmey Gyalsten.
