Maybe a stupid question coming from a white cis-man but did you feel the makeup gave you an unnatural skin tone? I imagine makeup does strange and wonderful things but the difference at the end between your face and neck…not sure if that is normal, expected & desired.
Yes the neck and my face is supposed to blend and be the same color
Actually she did a great job. Yes the eyebrows were a bit odd, the foundation could have bedn better matched but she really did a marvellous job, especially when in a likelihood, she is self taught.

When I started in the beauty industry in the 1990s, where I lived there were strict regulations surrounding the professional employment of the term 'make up artist'. If you EVER used that term on a website, on business cards or any form of professional literature/conversation, you needed to hold certain qualifications or other formal experience backing you up; if you were just a self taught talented person you had to find another variation of the term to use in order to describe what you did for a living/on counter in a department store. Now, everybody who can go into Boots and buy a palette and then go home and turn on a camera is able to call themselves a 'make up artist'. The pendulum has swung totally the other way. A balance and some clarity is always what's best. Just because you can fanny about doing your own make up or that of your good looking 20 year old friends does NOT make you a 'professional make up artist'. Weird, isn't it? PS= I also laugh out loud to see footage of someone talking to me whilst doing their make up labelled as a 'tutorial'.

@@MarvellousAbiodun Wouldn't you love to see these Beauty Gurus after they've done their 'full face' of make up for a video IRL? Away from the filters, the lighting, the flattering digital footage and standing right in front of you in daylight at 3pm with make up so theatrically applied that they look like drag queens in Tesco buying emergency Nair. I especially enjoy the contour template that they ALL do brainlessly, regardless of their personal facial anatomy (especially the train tracks down the side of the nose). These people are not make up artists. You have such a perfect face for these experiments that to see someone make you actually look LESS beautiful with make up is awful.
