I cry every time I listen to her. Esperanza is music physically arranged in human form.
She is so far and beyond the majority of music/musicians today. Just super talented and exudes this with ease - true talent. Travels on different wavelengths that are way to high for the regular mob to understand or appreciate. God damn shame she ain't getting the acclaim she deserves across this earth. So moving, so theatrical, so passionate, so alarmingly beautiful and gracious is Esperanza Spalding

OH MY GOD is correct. Esperanza is my musical version of Bruce Lee. So much charisma and so beautiful to watch. Totally captivating when she performs and cannot stop watching. Love her so much. The sky is the limit for her. "Exposure " project pure genius.

Is it just me... Our it's this actually pretty heavy. I always dig her music's rhythms and bass composition, but those melodies and writing in general.... Woohoo. Brilliant

Holding down the bassline while singing such dynamic lines, what a musician! I'm surprised she haven't heard her do any music for broadway or music soundtracks her music has a cinematic vibe.
she incorporates theatre in her performances which is so unique. like a musical but it feels like a music concert mainly instead of a drama.

Wow, I see what she means about the String section! "Apple Blossom" sounds Much better with the orchestra, than it does on the Tiny Desk version. So beautiful.
I wish she would release this version of apple blossom on a single or something! It is outrageously stunning!!! Baffled everytime I hear it.

This woman is my greatest inspiration along with Jaco Pastorius and Stu Hamm as far as bass players go. ~1 year later I am still contemplating getting an upright contrabass like her white and gold one... But I'm not worthy of that (yet). All I can say is she is off the planet as far as talent, beauty, innovation, (+long list) are concerned, I am truly 'mesmerized' by Esperanza...

Naa it’s more like an example of what you can be able to do if you are dedicated and work hard. And if you can follow it in your mind you are halfway there...God bless us all with different talents and you can be whatever you want to. To reach her or any kind of genius will take 2-3 life times with hard work. But it needs to burn in your soul. God love you as much as Esperanza 😉🕺🌏❤️

I wonder if it's alright to be continually astounded by her unearthly talent and vision, yet have no interest in listening to her music.
I can see the genius, but have rarely heard a song by her I would ever choose to listen to; just doesn't speak to me at all.
... and her music and talent is not for the faint of heart.

Love this presentation but the mix is unfortunately not worth for a program like this to be honest...
i don't like the fact that she was dressed so elegantly and every other musician is wearing a t-shirt. Had it been another performer they would have worn tuxedos...I dunno. maybe it's just me.
The other musicians are students--the baseball shirts are their uniform and contain their logo: NYO2.
I agree it's tacky-looking, but it seems clear that that was the arrangement; not someone's decision to slum.

Yes, she is very very good at whatever he does, I just feel that sometimes she over- exposes her self assurance a bit too much by coquetting and talking like a mature woman and telling (a bit too) clever stories of her life. In my opinion - unnecessary because just by her art - and her being a beautiful young woman - everybody would admire her anyway.
