The collection turned out better than I anticipated, it's still fairly cohesive despite not being made in-house at Valve. I actually quite like the M249 because it actually does look like something Valve would make as a grey back in the day, just look at the M249 impact drill and Jungle. I do think the R8 Inlay and Mp7 Sunbaked are a bit too shiny for grey collection skins though. I am used to greys being very muted and matte. I also love the AUG Snakepit, it's like a classic valve low-tier, pattern based skin (think minotaur's labyrinth).
Yeah the R8 definitely is crazy for a grey. You have a good point about the m249 also. At the end of the day it's a grey so it needs to be rather simple/flat. Wonder if moving forward into CS2 if we will see them continue to ramp up the lower tiers like this. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and watching 🤝
