Watch. Marika's body isn't hers. She divested her body to ascend. And so her body is Radagon 's. And he is a Mimic. Lol you heard it here first. 😅
@@Conzort_1 People get surprisingly mad at me when I argue that Radagon was intended at some point to be a mimic tear 🤪 For some reason it sparks real emotion

On a serious note though: if that did happen, what if Radagon is some different type of mimic? One made with the essence of the crucible as well.
OR Radagon is ALWAYS there... No matter the individual that ascends... OR... no I'm just kidding. I'm stopping there. 😂
The undead centaur creature is based on the Nuckelavee, a Gaelic water demon that ruins crops, and drowns people in saltwater
The craziest thing Fromsoft does in their DLCs is give us answers.
I’m hoping Shadow of the Erdtree is absolute bonkers in that regard.

Elden ring lore feels like a reverse paint by Numbers of an MC Escher painting. All the colours are there, and you have to draw the lines.

Here's the truth of the crucible. It was the original tree magic as made by John Elden ring from the ancient ruins. It was fed death from beasts and men and transmuted their life energy into its various aspects. It became the Erdtree when someone called a meteor strike into drain azula to steal the divine light of god and the dragons gold from farum azula. Once the dragons had been fed to the tree it was imbued with their magic. However, there was a flaw. The god lives in and was being fed by the death given to the tree. Marika removed the rune of death to prevent the god from gaining power. This act ended the age of plenty.
NG+ and +2 in AC6 is soooo good. please do that.
I have been theorizing (and hoping) since the trailer dropped that Messmer's parents are Marika and the GeQ. I feel like it doesn't HAVE to be Radagon in this case and it would be really cool to have confirmed empyrean lesbian consummation
If Melina is a child of Marika, that could be two of her kids now that have closed left eyes. So if the “gloam-eyed queen” was another consort of Marika it would make sense that her children share that trait. Gloam means dusk, what if that doesn’t mean color, but closed?
The Horse/Horse rider is a Kelpie I'm quite familiar with it given that I'm Scottish
I’ve started to think that the land is going to be exactly the same. And what the veil is obscuring is the entire, ordinal land mass and the lands between is a new land she created over top that original area.

What I'm curious to find out is why Miyazaki said that the DLC ending won't have an effect on the main game ending. What does that mean for Frenzied Flame ending with Melina? Does that get resolve inside the DLC? Is Melina, Ranni etc going to show up in the DLC? Does their one eye closed and one eye open let them traverse between the Shadown Realm and the Land Between?
I reckon it will never be resolved, and left ambiguous. It’s dangerous to assume there will be resolutions in a Hidetaka Miyazaki game. Miyazaki has a history of creating intentionally unresolved character endings, with the main focus being to drive conversation.
So, since the release of the DLC trailer, everyone talks about how it's 'confirmed' that the person riding torrent is Miquella. However, there is a big difference in the landscape of the poster, and the landscape of the DLC trailer. It could possibly be that the person riding torrent is Marika, and that the events in the poster is during an early time of Marika plotting her plan.
Miyazaki confirmed in an interview that the person being depicted there is Miquella.

@@nitinburli7814the difference in landscape was probably just a precautionary measure to make sure as little as possible was shown that early on :) it allowed the reveal trailer to land all its punches that much better bc we had absolutely no expectation as to what was coming besides a field of wheat and the tree in the distance

You have great talking points, but I find myself noting something ever since I watches Jack the Mimic go over interviews with Martin, Miyazaki, and other Elden Ring Devs: No one is talking about how this is Martin’s The Lands Between. He wrote all of the gods, all of the places and lore….its all his work according to Miyazaki himself. Miyazaki pretty much did the paint job. This fact has me wondering if we missed something by virtue of just not being a fan of Martin as much as Miyazaki is. I didn’t know Martin wrote about Vampires and Space until Miyazaki said so in an interview
In regards to your final comment, yeah Martin did some Space/Sci-Fi even in his medieval works such as ASOIAF. A lot of science fiction is emphasised in Elden Ring and are prevalent amongst the liurnian areas of the game, and particularly around the focus of the Stars, Gravity, Glintstones and Fate.
@@Scadu_Orhyn I think that is what surprised me the most, knowing there was there other side to Martin about Space. I even heard that one of the comets in GoT is an alien from his other novem
There are people who talk about that, but it's still important to remember that GRRM only produced the first draft. Even as late as the network test (years after GRRM had supposedly last touched the lore!) there were things in the game that were very very different from what was in the game at launch. A lot more time passed between GRRM's draft and the network test than passed between the network test and launch. It's also complicated by the fact that Miyazaki was already a fan of GRRM and influenced by him pre-Elden Ring, and that they have a lot of shared influences (they clearly both have affection for Lovecraftian Cosmic Horror) so it makes for a really complicated situation to sift through.
@@Eladelia only produced the first draft? That is not supported by any of the interviews. As I have said, people are easy to dismiss Martin’s work even when the Elden Ring team itself treats his contributions as being what Elden Ring is. He came up with the name Lands Between, not Miyazaki
@@epiccthulu They didn't use the words "first draft" but that's absolutely how they've described GRRM's contribution. They've said he wrote something, handed it over, and his involvement stopped because it didn't make sense to have him involved in the ongoing process of adjusting the story based on the ways it needed to change to accommodate gameplay (as he is not a game developer). Again, the state of the game demonstrably changed in dramatic ways between what was in the network test and what was in the release build, and the amount of time between the network test and GRRM's last known involvement was much much longer. That doesn't make him not involved, it just means that this is not so straightforward as saying he wrote what we're seeing by a long shot.
