The 16 inch nano dispaly is completely worth it for myself. Its so gorgeous woking anywhere and i love how i can read everything. It has this paper like quality :) and I dont mean that in any bad way.
I bought an M4 Pro 14 and will never look back. It's one of the snappiest and best laptops I've ever used. My next goal is an iPad Pro. My iPhone, MacBook, and iPad will all have 120Hz displays. I don’t understand why this isn’t standard on all Apple devices. It seriously enhances the speed of the OS and overall usability. Everything feels incredibly snappy and responsive. Great review as always! I still think the standard display is better in most conditions. You’d need to be in some serious studio lighting to justify a matte display. For most places, 400 to 600 nits is more than enough.
It was worth it for me. I work outside a lot and since the treatment is on the glass itself, the color quality doesn't take much of a hit. Space Black was iffy for me though, but I got used to the fingerprints. Sort of.
This is actually not true since the nanotexture display isn't a traditional antiglare screen. Might be a good idea for you to learn more about it instead of making assumptions.
@@ArthropodSpidey With my own use, I can confirm nano textured display is gimmick and not at all useful with laptop..may be with I phone with more outdoor usage I may help little bit with glare..thts all

Hello. I am considering purchasing a macbook pro m4. I've seen reviews that people have eye and head pain from using the device. Have you ever encountered such a problem? It's something about PWM on a mini LED display. TY
It all boils down to personal preference Andrew. There are people that like and swear by the matte display, others don't. A great example of this is with the new Samsung flagship S95D OLED TV which has a matte display versus the model under that the S90D which does not. While it is true that a matte display might take some of that vibrancy away, again it's just personal preference. The 1080p webcam quality is great and so is the mic quality. The sound quality on the 14" M4 MacBook Pro while very good in comparison to the 16" it's big brother has an overall louder and more of a richer sound. In conclusion, nothing can beat an Apple laptop and yet you will be paying a premium for what you get. A premium Windows machine can get closer but not close enough to the M4 MacBook Pro in terms of quality and dependability. Awesome review once again Andrew! Here's wishing you and your loved ones a very happy holiday. All the very Best in 2025 to you and yours as well as to the continued growth of your channel!! 👍😁
Not sure why we even have glossy screens on laptops & tablets. Andrew, you aware of Lenovo's P12 tablet with a matte display? Can't buy in the US however. Anyhow, a much needed path.
Nice pc. Camera and mics are good. Speakers sounded very good although the 16 in version sounded slightly better. Display is good. Great review. Have a happy holiday. Can you believe it is almost 2025. It is like a snowball rolling down a hill. Where and when it crashes and hits bottom nobody knows.
so many negative comments on the Nano Texture. People really need to see it in person… so many people are saying what they hate about it… but I went into the Apple Store because there was so much talk good and bad to see this in person and I can confirm you are not losing any lost in viewing quality other than the glare.

I don’t need any nano texture to reduce my screen high pixel resolution
@@Edgar876 Thanks for letting everyone know that you have no idea how screens or resolution work.

I have an iPad Pro with the nano screen. I LUV this thing. The screen makes it so pleasant to work with.

Doesn't the space black gets hot outside ?
I prefer the ThinkPad keyboard as well , it's a joy to type on ThinkPad ❤
I have it and on the 16” and it’s great.
either the 14 inch or 16 inch macbook pros i dont think anyone can compete with thieir trackpads. especially on the 16 inch. its so flawless.
Are the NANO-TEXTURE DISPLAY and window matte screens different?
for me mostly the same,
They are different. Nano texture is not a coating.
Thank you for the review, Andrew. Happy Holidays to you and your family. Looking forward to CES 2025. Take Care.
Thanks Dean and happy holidays to you and your family!
Still very impressed with the webcam quality in these MacBooks. Still blows away most windows laptops and great sound quality from the mics
Anytime you're dealing with antiglare screens you get a reduction in image quality. I do prefer glossy displays for that reason alone

I have not experienced any strain from PWM but some are more sensitive to it so you need to keep that in mind when choosing this laptop.
@@andrewmarcdavid but what about the notch effect didn’t you get dumber?😂
@ not so much the notch but rather this comment
Seems the nano has deeper blacks?
No
Hi Andrew, can you already tell us something about the Elitebook X G1a? When will it be released and when can we expect a video from you?
Not yet unfortunately. I am still under embargo.

I will never buy a nano texture never … normal screen is the best than reduce your screen quality for so called nano whatever
