32:20 The way I'd do it is they're compelled to always have an available Clone. To permanently kill you have to catch the last one before it has a chance to awaken and recast the Clone spell.
This right here is one of my favorite videos this channel has done. Im really into this monster I use them in my Homebrew game as well I have three different versions of them.
@Vampster19&CockedD20 That is great to hear! I have to admit that I was concerned about sinking 80 hours into a video on such an obscure topic, but comments like these are super encouraging and only bolster my desire to find interesting topics off the well traveled path! So thank you for sharing!!
I remember owning and playing that module! Great Video sir! These are some of the most Indepth and informative lore videos I have watched! I really enjoy them as a big fan of the Shadowfell and the FeyWild
"These... Nagpa has some uncanny familiarity. I'm sure Master's patron would know more. Although I am suspicious that he isn't the Set of a certain... legend." Emma hefts the thick tome onto the wide lectern. "Suspicious? Dear child?" Set's shadow appears to her left. Emma turns around. Eyes widen at the sight of the tall man. "I did not take offense of your words. But be mindful when calling upon my name," Set's feminine voice deepens. His right hand tosses the mixed mess of split bone, rotten ichor, and ruined cloth onto the floor. "Unless you want to join these thieving fools." The brunette mage lowers her eyes. The remains of the Nagpa cadaver is clear. The beak is intact. Decayed wing floating on the ichor. Set sneers at the body. He jerked around. "Pathetic imitator." His mind recalls the Hawk face of a young warrior. "Made me remember that day..."
Man... If D&D one day becomes incredibly more popular, your channel is going to pop off and when it does, you've got a huge library of information here. Undoubtly one of the best channels for content like this.
The curse must have a restriction on the Nagpa's ability to use 9th Level Magic, because that would open up the possibility for True Polymorph, which would allow the Nagpa to turn back into Elven form. You could also think that Wish could allow them to regain the ability to perform Elven High Magic, and they could eventually craft a ritual to break the curse, assuming that they could overcome their nature and work together for long enough, and in enough secret.
@wbbartlett I have to defend - at least in the case of the Nagpa - that these creatures were created by TSR almost a decade before WotC even existed as a company. That said, your point is still valid in many ways. :)
I've been A D@D player since 1980 so seen the changes (Some for the worst may I say). Favourite modules are and always will be bloodstone mines anthogy. Sadly Nagpa like The death Knight have been retconned nearly to the point they are A joke.

You should definitely customize the thirteen different nagpa I think they'd be unique beings with unique powers after all this time
This
I would have the raven queen gain their knowledge through said maddening curse, fits with her 5e fascination with memories
The villainous characters Remind me of dark Crystal
Definitely their inspiration
They remind me of the skeksis from The Dark Crystal. They have a very similar look to them
Yep, i was just about to write the same

This was wonderfully put together. The pictures the story I don't know anyone on RUclips that could have done a better job. True art.
Excellent video
More Deathmatch please!

Funny thing is if the ritual succeeded the Raven queen may have given them a reward.
Gotta say, I love NagTek the best out of the Nagpas.
this was so sick gonna have some of these guys helping the BBEG. (:
Yesss! Been waiting. Thanks R&L
Great stuff as always.

That was fun thank you. I didn't know about the nagpa. Now I feel confident on how to run things. If I need a plot in the shadow fell

Its almost time for a new lich video 🙏🏾💀
Is there an animal/human hybrid that doesn't exist in D&D? If so, let wotc know so that they can vomit out another splatbook.
