I don't understand why you don't have more subscribers because this is a straight up ghost investigation, no special effects, or over dramatic acting like many of the other shows do, I've been a fan of Taps since day one I think and what got me into Paranormal shows was when my Mom passed away in 2009 , I really wanted to know if there was another life after death and many years later here I am , still intrigued by the Paranormal! Love what you do Jason Hawes , you rock man ! I look forward to seeing more investigations with you and JV ! Love you , God Bless!!

a lot of people prefer the fake stuff. it's a reaction thing. people like over the top reactions which explains why yelling DEMON for everyone is popular. VS this type of investigation, this is much slower paced with no craziness. if you think about the fact that people have short attention spans, they're probably unable to watch this and this it's boring.

@beardo is like an armchair golfer criticizing the pros. I have heard clips from his show. He shows disrespect to everyone. Along came a pro and a gentleman and beardo was a puddle in 2 minutes. He doesn't back down from his beliefs because of some 2 bit bully.

@@WarKlutch Beardo and other "debunkers" claim someone is faking with no actual proof. They, pretty much, say that, "if I were to fake this piece of evidence, this is how I would do it, so it's obviously fake." It's not proof, but a hypothesis, at best. It's just boring people that have no talent, deciding to tear down others for attention and praise from others that barely even look into what is being talked about or shown, but just take the word of the "debunkers" because they are too busy or too lazy to actually put in effort.
And, the sad part is, they then shamelessly plug their own investigations as "the real deal" or friends channels to help boost them because they are friends...it's sad and pathetic and the "debunkers" community needs to be torn down and rebuilt with actual proof and not hearsay before tearing down someone's life and career and passion.

I noticed that when Jim was isolated in the secret room, that on two occasions his camera went back to the doll, and both times, the dolls position changed both times. Not sure if Jim accidentally caught it, but it never got mentioned at the time. Great video btw 👌 👍
Someone else said this... are you talking just before the 6 minute mark?? It was so quick I replayed 7+ times and don't see it PLUS I believe that was Jason's footage. JV wasn't in the doll room.

Yep when he's sitting on the floor in childs room. Several times he's panning the room and each time the dolls head has moved.
I saw the same thing. First time looking right at the door over its shoulder, second time its looking away and its head is turned slightly, third time it's head is looking straight ahead. A full 90 degree difference.

Yes! I caught that too. The doll faces Jim in the closet at 56:06. And then faces away from Jim at 56:44. I went back several times to confirm. Maybe Jim bumped it while looking for his flashlight. It's still weird. The head looks like it changed position.

I’m am witness that both my husband and I have experienced paranormal activity in the house at night on several different stays there at the beautiful mansion. Mike and Pat are such wonderful hosts! We have enjoyed our stays there and cherish our time with Mike and Pat and Susan and Andy!

Oh man! I grew up watching you on Ghost Hunters! This is what I miss about ghost hunting videos and shows. It is just an investigation and information on the area. It is not hyper sensationalized, click baiting, or giving massive over reactions for content. Excellent stuff! Hope to see more in the future!

Burn is a stream in Scotland and Brae is either a hillside or the bank of a Stream. So Hillside by the Stream seems apt.

Yep the dolls head definitely was in different positions with every camera pan when JV was in the closet. If he bumped it the whole doll position would’ve moved and not just the head.

Right when Jason is locking JV in the closet, after JV says, "I'll sit in here for a minute" at 54:39 you hear a third voice whispering, kind of repeating what they're saying, it sounds like "I'll close you in."

Hey, I think the doll's head moved. At 56:06 doll's head is facing the camera, later at 56:44 the doll's head has turned some, and finally at 58:31 doll's head has turned looking completely straight. Has anyone else noticed this?

No way that doll head and only the head moved not the rest of the doll
This is one of 3 legit paranormal shows I will watch (Fourman Brothers, Paranormal Nightmare, and Jason's show).
As someone who watched a lot of the early years of Ghost Hunters, back before the paranormal became more of an "industry," and currently watch a few debunking channels, I really love this kind of pared-back, no-frills investigation. Just a couple people and some equipment in a creepy house. I'll have to catch up on your channel!
I feel you there. I had a group of my own around same time TAPS aired very early on. I started my group in 99-2010. There are so many groups and it's so mainstream I just quit doing it all together. My son (21) wants to start doing it with me, but I am afraid to. It honestly feels like when I was doing it my luck changed and was when my life fell apart.

My only criticism from GH was how Discovery produced the episodes. To enhance the atmosphere, someone thought it would be a good idea to add ambient music. I almost never heard anything in RT because of the ridiculous soundtrack. I could only catch it during the reveal.
Although I miss the rest of the team, I enjoy your new YT investigations much more.
I had a feeling about the room the first time it was found, then I had it again. I looked it up and validated that it was a "shame" room or a "death" room where they would lock away a child who had a dissability because they were ashamed. The items in the room validate that theory. Very sad!

I can honestly say, At Sloss Furnaces, Meatloaf loved that case! He was more excited doing the Investigation of Sloss after the investigation rather than before. Like on Thousand Island that place that was runner up to the most Haunted areas on Meatloaf's 1st investigation, he loved doing that investigation. I loved him before as a singer, but watching the Investigations all this many years later is more than nostalgia! It's happiness that I think of! He was such a genuine guy,RIP-Meatloaf

I was a skeptic until I watched taps back some years ago, Jason's investigations convinced me ghosts are real, then I watched Kent's of ghosts of Carmel, Maine and shadowdude sealed my beliefs. In over 30+ yrs of watching every paranormal content I can find, the video of shadowdude flying out the window is my favorite ghost captures and Jason's capture of that thing at eastern state penitentiary were some of the first hard evidence. Thank you Jason.

JV is extra excited about investigating ha ha. Screw that closet with the dolls. I can handle an evp of a baby crying, but I don't think I'd be able to deal with an avp of a baby crying.

Hi guys, please check out the doll's face when Jim is in closet. It has moved every time his camera points to it. Time stamps are 56.06, 56.45, 58.30 & 59.06. I did watch when you first posted episode but I've just checked it again before commenting & it definitely moves.

First off I love this channel and am glad to see you making these types of videos. I just watched the Ghost Nation video on this location. The drywall looked newer so to me would lend to your third theory that someone closed that room off for some reason. Crazy to think what it could be. I doubt it was to square off space because they left stuff in there. Either way, awesome content then and awesome content now. I have been a huge fan since day one of GH.
What a beautiful mansion. I remember that episode from GN when you opened up that room and found all those children toys and crib, it was so sad and bewildered as too why someone would close up that room. That baby cry and those footsteps were so clear. Enjoyed the investigation 🙏 Jason and JV

I would love to see more paranormal equipment being used, especially to verify or establish communication. The slight bumps in the night or supposed voices is always too speculative without added support.
When we began these investigations we decided to keep it to the absolute minimum - me, Jason & our cameras. Every once in a while we may use something else, but muc of this is about the adventure & exploring the history of the location. Thanks for the comment! - JV

One thing I noticed. When Jim was in the closet-- that makes me grin-- & he says words to the effect of, 'I bet it gets lonely being in here', immediately after he speaks there is a sound. Don't know what it was. Might have been something entirely mundane, but it reminded me of a female or a child. It's definitely there, whatever it was. Did you guys find an explanation for it & therefore not mention it?
Hey Jason, I'm from Scotland and Burn and Brae are Scottish names, a 'burn' is a small run of water like a river but way smaller and a Brae is an incline or gradual hill. So Burn Brae would be a river under a hill. There is a peice of road not far from where I live called the Burn Brae straight which has a small burn running under it and has a slight incline along the road. So your assumption of it being Scottish is correct😊
