It is very well intended though, I have seen many live performances of Sleepless Deathbed, he includes the voice crack in all of them. So cool that he adds even more dynamics in his live performances.
@@grafunknown4572yep. Very intentional as he also does it at 0:51. It's not a voice crack though. it's quite opposite. Very connected. Compressed, pushed clean vocal. Kind of like a glottal stop where the vocal cords are shut but you're still pushing air against it. Once you let a little air through with the right projection it gives that screachy emotional pained tone. I do it quite a lot myself. Switching between semi clean to falscords like that. Always nice To add those dynamics.A vocal crack would be more if it slipped into a soft breathy falsetto, like a yodel. ima do a little shameless self promo here. I did a false meridian vocal cover in 2023 and I have snippets of a cloud cascade cover recently uploaded on my channel, on my cloud cascade video At 1:05 I do the same technique as him in these sections. Though I hold onto the compressed vocal/note for less time.
@@martian4841 the only habit he has to get out off is cupping the mic. the screams have a really muffled quality to it. I'm not against cupping as an effect. but when it's constant, it's pretty frustrating.
Listen, Heavener is probably my favourite album of all time, but seeing how much they've improved since Heavener, I can't even predict what is going to destroy us next
Best band in the entire scene, holy fuck… it’s a shame they aren’t bigger and lowkey the crowd was dead af. They deserve so much better but this video was incredible 🤩
Dead crowd? Cause they're actually enjoying the show? and not throwing spinning back fists and karate kicks looking like kids with down syndrome not getting their way in Walmart the whole show? This insane wave of crowd killers at shows these last few years is atrocious, fools straight don't even know how to do a proper circle pit any more. This crowd is vibing and appreciating what they're witnessing rather than looking like buffoons.
I've seen them four times since 2022, and their growth has been unreal. I'd seriously consider Marcus to be one of the best vocalists that the genre has at the moment. They've really found their stage presence, too. Man, I really need to see them again...
Absolutely fucking incredible. I just got lyrics from this song and from False Meridian tattooed on my arm and it was worth every bit. These guys are amazing and seeing them on this tour was absolute madness.
